So can we talk about the orientalism that plagues fandom and is present in the selfship community. Yume as a term blew up because of it, it's why white people give their self inserts Asian names and then get mad when someone tells them that's cultural appropriation. Asian terms (and especially Japanese ones) are seen as a cool aesthetic more so than something from an irl culture
Today is FINALLY my birthday!!! I’m 20 now… the big Two Oh. I still don’t know how to feel about it honestly but so far I’m liking it, and I’m proud of myself for even coming this far in life. Like wym I’ve been alive for two DECADES?? What the scallop!!!!!! And I’ve done so many things, despite how often I get upset at myself for all the things that I haven’t done.
I can’t think of like a huge sappy paragraph to type out so . Anyways I drew my favorite girls at the moment (plus Toki who is sometimes a girl so he counts). I love all of my f/os so much and I’m so fucking glad they’ve gotten to see me through to this part of my life. I wouldn’t even be where I am if it wasn’t for them, especially my Toki (and ESPECIALLY especially Hunter). But also, I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for @ditzythefool and her stupid sister (/POS I LOVE YOU GUYS), and Bazil who I don’t wanna bother with a tag but just know he’s there, and @skullofrome, and a bunch of other people that I’ve found along the way.
