Chances are thatās true!
*puts on history nerd glasses* cargo ships during the world wars (and probably other wars but weāre not focusing on that) would travel in convoys for safety. If we look at the area where the Forgotten Ark is found, itās not the only wreck there. There are at least two other ships, the Ark is just the one in the best condition, and it is probably the one where the survivors originated from. We can guess that they were stranded there for a bit considering the fact that they built dwellings and began growing crops. Itās likely that the items that we buy from the booths were among the items that were in their inventory.
Now, looking at the wreck in Wasteland,
noticing the facts that it does not have fins, nor a stylized bow and stern, marks this as an industrialized vessel. This also shows on the lifeboats as well. It also has a clear bridge, and the fact that the bridge is at the back, makes it similar to military vessels or cargo carriers, for example, oil rigs. But itās unlikely that cargo ships would be on their own in potentially hostile waters, especially oil carriers, whose cargo is highly valuable.
Usually lone vessels are military ships known as raiders. Theyād take out targets swiftly and make their escape. We already know that this vessel crossed paths with patrolling krill and lost, as two of the krillās limbs are lodged in its hull.
There is the evidence that this could be a royal vessel. The statue of the king on the bow of the ship, and the fact that itās cargo appears to be golden power diamonds.
But it was attacked by a krill, and krill were weapons made by the king, right?
Well, someone guessed a while back that the statues could be some kind of beam weapon, not just propaganda. Operating under the assumption that krill are the kings weapons, what if the wreck in wasteland was a disguised rebel raiding vessel? Thereās no rule that says the rebels couldnāt use power diamonds just like the royal forces, and disguising your vessel to get close to the enemy is a long and well used tradition.
Thereās absolutely no evidence either way which side the krill were used on.
But, the fort in the final area, has diamond emblems. And what was the lookout scout sounding the alarm for? Well, what gets triggered when we light the alter? The krill could be what the scout was blowing the horn for, or alternatively, the krill could be triggered as a last ditch defense when the fort was overrun. Who knows? We know so little as fact.
