It’s been months since the team broke apart and Tony had finally started to move back on with his life again. Having a new trouble spider kid added onto that with his beautiful fiancé and his close friends. Tony had settle down into a new family he was actually happy and secure in. Only just starting to learn how to be a good father figure to Peter, things in his opinion where going great… Until the rest of his old team had come back, the family that was already broken before it crumbled apart in front of his eyes. Tony can fix anything… or that’s what he claims he can do. But he doesn’t know if he can fix something that was never right in the first place. or even if he wants to fix it. One thing he does know for sure, if this time it doesn’t work he’s not going to be kicked to the curb again. And he won’t let his old family ruin his new one.

“Did you invite the kid?”, Tony calls to Happy from across the garage, his head buried in the hood of his vintage Ferrari, tinkering away at the engine. “No, why would I invite the kid to a charity ball?” Happy snorts, unaware that Tony was serious about wanting to invite Peter to the gala. 

Tony’s head snaps up, looking back at Happy. “I told you to invite the kid. Invite the kid. Add him as my plus one”, He orders, wiping the grease off his hands with a stained towel. Happy frowns, looking at the list “Yeah but I thought Pepper was going to be your plus one?”, he asks, pointing his pen at the tablet.

“Yeah see I thought about it but she isn’t fun as a date”, Tony shrugs. The truth was, he wanted Peter to accompany him to a formal event so the kid could learn everything there is to know about events and functions, and Peter needed all the help he could get in the networking department.

“Also I already told her I want the kid to come along, he is my intern after all. She doesn’t mind, she has better things to do, I’m sure”, Tony adds before Happy had the chance to counter. He informed Pepper about wanting to take Peter instead and she didn’t mind. In fact, she encouraged it. She said something along the lines of ‘Maybe he’ll get used to talking without stuttering every 10 milliseconds’. Not that Tony needed Pepper’s approval, but having her support meant a lot to him nonetheless.

“Fine. I’ll call the kid”, Happy agrees with a huff, pulling out his phone. “You think he has a suit for an event like this though?”, He asks, dialing Peter’s number. 

“That can be arranged”, Tony nonchalantly answers, going back to the hood of his car and tinkering.

Five Times Tony Stark Got to be a Normal Dad- Academic Decathlon Competition

It wasn’t that Peter didn’t want to tell Mr. Stark about his upcoming competition- in fact, he wanted to tell Tony so badly. It was just that Peter knew Mr. Stark would be way too busy to attend a measly Academic Decathlon competition, even if it was a semi-final.

I mean, he probably has a million other things to do, Peter thought, staring as Tony wielded another piece of Iron Man armour to his new suit. While Tony had become much more attentive of his mentee after the Homecoming fiasco, he was still the world famous Tony Stark: genius, billionaire, and former playboy philanthropist. If there wasn’t a crisis that required Iron Man, then there would be some event that needed Tony Stark.

Five Times Tony Stark Got to be a Normal Dad- Bullies & Ballparks

“FRIDAY, why did you lower my music? I told you I didn’t want to be disturbed for the next hour,” Tony said, not looking up as he continued to tear apart one of his older-model jet boots.

It was a Tuesday, which meant that Peter would be coming over to act the part of the over eager intern that he officially was now. For today’s project Tony planned to have the kid put the boot jet back together from scratch. After months of lab safety training sessions and age-appropriate engineering projects, Tony felt that the kid was finally ready to start working on more advanced tech, namely his own Iron Man suits. He couldn’t wait to see the look on Peter’s face when he came over.

“Sorry Boss, but you have received a call from Midtown School of Science and Technology in regards to a situation involving Peter. I put them on hold, should I put you through?” FRIDAY asked calmly.

“What? Of course, and put it through to my phone,” Tony ordered, dropping the mangled boot jet on the lab bench as he stood up to retrieve his nearby phone. He quickly grabbed his phone and put it to his ear. “Hello? Who is this?”

Steve is running late for the orphanage meeting for him and his husband Tony Stark to meet the little boy they have been receiving pictures of for weeks. The little boy called "peter parker" Steve couldn't be more happy about the meeting, Tony on the other hand is having doudts. Steve learns sometimes it's better to be late and trust that things will have there own little wierd way of working them selfs out. Without his help .

Its the middle of the night and tony is panicked by a toddler peter who has come down with a cold. And looks after his little snffling baby boy.
