22.11.2024
Been trying to clear the backlogs for the last couple of weeks. Trying not to get burnt out, but my sleep schedule is non existent at this point.
To-do:
Revise chemical bonding, and do all the practice questions
08.10.24
Getting 7hours of sleep felt really good. Slept early and had the best sleep I've had in months. Hopefully will get done with trig by today, then I can do some chem tomorrow.

WINTER ARC DAY 4
Got up at 6 after months of going to bed at 4(or even 5). Felt GREAT. The workload ain't too stressful at the moment, but gotta make sure I don't end up studying anything for the first time the night before the test again. It's festive season here but guess I'll just stay in and work on the backlogs this year. Forgot to update yesterday so I'm posting today instead lol.
Went for a 30min walk
Did a few practise questions for Phy

30.07.24
July is ending already. It took some time to finally get back on track again but as they say 'better late than never'. Managed to get a couple backlogs by now, I'll be mostly working on getting rid of those first. Let's just hope I'm done with everything by September (mid terms are in September ugh).
To-do:
Update the chem practical file
Update the phy practical file
Lecture on standard functions
Lecture on atomic structure
Finish the assignment on book review
whether its astrology, racial-character theories, alpha male ontology, or attachment-style shit, people want ONE thing: systems. they want to build and apply systems. they want to construct mental contraptions filled with categories, relations, rules, and consistency. the people want math; the people want algebras.
Sort of but they want math with drama, math with stakes. Math that makes me better than you. Unfortunately real math lacks this essential draw.
Could the answer lie in physics???

Chemistry video recs!!
Okay so here's a new ~project~ of mine (we'll see how long I can stick to it whoops): every once in a while I want to make a compilation of cool chemistry videos. I also want to keep it strictly chemistry-related (as much as that's possible... and I don't promise to be totally objective lol*). I watch a lot of science videos in general, but the way I see it, chemistry just doesn't get enough hype. Physics and biology can fend for themselves, they're very popular. Chemistry is notoriously underappreciated and overlooked, and it makes me sad.
So! Here are some great chemistry videos I've watched recently.
Under 15 minutes:
How does evaporation REALLY work?
Making Singlet Oxygen
Technetium chemistry - synthesis of Lanthanide Pertechnetates - nuclear chemistry
Making table salt using sodium metal and chlorine gas
Making Chloroform
White Phosphorus - Explosions&Fire
Making fuming nitric acid
The End of Haber Bosch
NCl3: a terrifying yellow abomination
Making Prussian Blue
The experiment that revealed the atomic world: Brownian Motion
Chirality is Just Turtles All the Way Down
Over 15 minutes:
Chemist Breaks Down 22 Chemistry Scenes From Movies & TV
Hydrogen Peroxide: going all the way
Does cyanide actually smell like almonds?
Cosmic Chemistry with Kate the Chemist & Neil deGrasse Tyson
The Hidden Chemistry of Everything with Neil deGrasse Tyson and Kate the Chemist
How DO Molecules Store Energy?
applied quantum mechanics
A Chemist Explains the ENTIRE History of Atomic Theory (in 48 Minutes)
*for example, I consider some of thermodynamics to be chemistry-related, as well as some aspects of quantum mechanics. When I say I don't promise to objective, I mean I'll make rather liberal decisions on the intersection of sciences. And you can't stop me.
be busy. busy not checking messages. busy reading those books you never started or finished. busy having a good night of sleep. busy taking care of yourself and your skin. busy moving your body. busy helping your community. busy reflecting on your life and what you can improve. busy doing things aside from the capitalistic viewpoint of “productivity.” busy slowing down.
23.07.24
I figured that if my ADHD won't let day-time schedules work, why must I try to have a sleep schedule either, and hence decided to sleep depending on what time of the day I get a focus-boost(please don't try this at home). I got much of the work done after implementing this new change. Read the standard functions and did 40 problems on sets. I'll try to go through all the examples by tonight and practice some of the problems on functions.
