Warning: a bit of swearing??, age gap (Not TOO big; you’re a year older than Claire, which makes Chris 5 years older than you)
Pairing: (Post RE 5) Chris Redfield x Fem!Reader (It starts with his variation in RE1, but it concludes with him after Kijuju.)
Note: I made you quite shy here if you’re not, so sorry…! Bear with it if you read this story.
Synopsis: Since you were young, you and Claire have been friends since middle school. Eventually, you met Chris and already knew you had feelings for him. The problem was that you were too scared and shy to do it. Little did you know that a certain guy felt the same.
!!! To add, I would NEVER make a story about an adult pursuing a minor, as I am not comfortable with that type of thing. Because of the timeline I established, the romance will start when you are both adults.

Part 1, Part 2 (You're here!), Part 3
{Year 1998 - 21 years old. | September}
“You what?!”
You yelled on the phone as you were in the women’s bathroom at the university, “What do you mean you dropped out?!” There wasn’t a time for you to be shy when hearing your best friend do something so reckless.
A few of those who were inside gave you some looks but mainly ignored the commotion.
“I didn’t drop out,” Claire clarified, “I took a leave of absence. I told them I’d return and catch up on my own with the general electives.”
“That’s still dropping out!” You almost screeched in the stall you locked yourself in. “Claire Redfield, where the heck are you?!”
“Driving towards Raccoon City,” she answered. “Look. We haven’t heard from Chris in 2 months as of late. I just got a cryptic message from him that he’s going somewhere. So, I’m going to check up on him on both of our behalf.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose, letting out a small sigh. “Claire. We've been through this. He’s either on a mission or is busy.”
“I know, but you never know,” she noted, “Plus, he’s my brother, girlfriend, the only family I have.”
You didn’t have anything to argue on that note. “You’re right…Just…Just be safe, okay? I’ve heard rumours that numerous murders are happening there.”
“Will do! I’ll check in now and then,” Claire told you before cutting off the call as you sighed, leaning against the stall wall.
You looked up at the ceiling. “What has she gotten herself into…? Gosh…I hope Chris is okay…”
You didn’t have much time to think about it since you had a practical to do; you sighed once more before leaving the bathroom after washing your hands.
The next few months were spent with Claire updating you on her whereabouts and what she'd discovered.
Apparently, her brother had gone to Europe but then lost contact with him when he stayed in Raccoon City.
{Years 1999–2001}
She had spoken about an outbreak of some kind, some corporation called Umbrella, then a bunch of nonsense you couldn’t understand, but you just went with it since you wanted to see if she and Chris were okay in the end.
Months later, after no contact, she called and said that she had finally found Chris. But the moment was short-lived as he had to go to Russia with his team to investigate Umbrella.
{Early 2003}
After months, well…now years of texts that would be answered after long periods of silence.
You were finally able to speak to him, but it wasn’t for long, as he only had enough time to tell you he was okay and one last phrase that echoed in your brain.
“Wait for me, okay? I will come back to you. I promise.”
That was the last you’d heard of him…
{Year 2009 - 30 years old. | May}
You finally graduated from university and were officially a pediatrician by the early age of 30. You matured and became more open and outgoing.
Though you were timid in some situations. There was definitely a change in your posture whenever you entered a room.
Claire was able to attend your graduation after flying back from New York, while working on a story with TerraSave, an organization founded by the public to aid those who were affected by Bioterrorism.
You were happy; you got a new car, a new apartment, a job, and awesome coworkers at the children’s hospital you work at.
But something was missing.
Of course…
Chris…
How you missed him.
His words still rumbled in your brain like a bass.
“Wait for me, okay? I will come back to you. I promise.”
You wondered if he would come back.
“Of course he will!”
Claire argued, sitting by the kitchen island in your apartment.
“Just give him time.” She assured you.
You gave her a look, taking out the chicken you were cooking. “It’s been 6 years, Claire.”
“Well, technically 3 since he’s been writing you letters since ‘06,” the burgundy-haired woman corrected you.
That still didn’t help: “But he stopped right after. Maybe he lost interest in me. Or what if he found someone else?”
Claire shook her head. “I know my brother, girlfriend. He’d rather die than two-time someone. He’s not that type of person. He’s horrible with his feelings, but he wouldn’t do such a thing.”
“I know…I guess it’s because I’ve lost so many chances to tell how I feel that I’ve kind of lost hope,” you admitted shyly.
Your best friend held a smirk. “Oh yeah. I know. Also, he’s been trying to not seem so awkward.”
“What…? How’d you–” you started as she laughed, getting some of the chicken you cooked, dipping it into some sauce, “Girl, he’s been after you since you were 20.”
You blinked in shock. “No. You’re lying.”
“I’m not,” she shook her head, “but the guy’s a dunce and overly antisocial.”
“Listen, you’ve been beating around the bush for so long that I'm just going to say this bluntly.” Claire said, “Both of you need to grow a pair of balls and chase after the other already.”
She groaned, “He’s head over heels with you. You are too. But you’re not taking it to the next level…”
“Anywho. You both have the green light, plus you’re goddamn 30 years old and haven’t gotten laid yet.” She said abruptly.
You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment. “Excuse me! I was just waiting for the right one!”
“Right…You’ll keep saying that even after menopause,” she teased softly.
“What about you? You’re 29 and have no one, too.” You argued.
Your friend hummed, “Yeah…True. But I guess a certain agent with blonde hair might be it for me.”
“For the love of…” You sighed, turning to place the dirty utensils in the dishwasher.
Her phone chimed as she hummed, “Hold on, I gotta take this call. Might be TerraSave.”
You nodded, going to do the dishes as she went into the bathroom.
Shortly after, Claire apologized and said she had to leave. “That’s fine. I’ll pack a care package for you. I got extra wings.”
“If my brother won’t wife you up, I will,” Claire laughed as you did as well. “The only thing I’d want is a big fat ring in return.”
After packaging the food into a bag, you walked Claire down the building to where her car was. You watched her enter the vehicle. “Remember. He’ll be back. I’ve been telling him to get his butt back here nonstop for 5 years.”
“Alright, thanks, girl,” you laughed, waving goodbye as she pulled out of the parking lot and drove off.
With a small sigh, you went back up to your apartment to get changed, deciding to go take a walk after cooking all morning.
Now outside again, you walked along the usual path you took before stopping on a bridge over the ocean, seeing amazing scenery before you. It compelled you to take a few pictures to send to Claire.
Right as you turned to leave, you bumped into someone. It felt like a brick wall, so you possibly ran into a pole.
“Ouch…” You rubbed your nose. “I’m so sorry…I didn’t even notice you…” You apologized gently, stepping back a little as you blinked.
“It’s my bad. I should’ve known better. You okay?”
“Yeah, I should be. Not like I broke my nose or anything,” you waved it off, going to look at the person you bumped into.
Like a statue, you suddenly stood still, only blinking rapidly when looking at the freakishly tall man standing before you.
‘He looks familiar…’ you thought, ‘But…there’s no way…Right?’
You shook your head out of your daze before squinting your eyes, eyebrows furrowed as you concentrated your vision on the face before you.
“Uh…” The man was about to speak before you gasped.
A finger was pointed at his chest. “I knew it…It is you!”

Part 1 (you’re here!), Part 2, Part 3
{Year 1991 - 13 years old}
It was since middle school that you can remember the first time you met Claire.
During recess, some classes from different grades were seen outside playing after lunch. For some reason, a few girls decided to start insulting you about your outfit.
“Nice outfit!” One girl smiled while saying your name in a condescending tone.
Her other friends giggled, “No wonder no one wants to talk to you.”
You wanted to say something, but couldn’t.
Instead, you just hung your head low, feeling the burning feeling around your eyes, your bottom lip quivering as blood rushed to your ears and face.
You were fighting off the tears as you heard the girls’ echoing laughter.
“Hey! Buzz off, wannabe mean girls!”
You turned to spot a burgundy-haired girl a few feet away before stepping in front of you, acting as your own shield.
“Her outfit is much better than yours all combined, so move on!” The girl defended you.
You blinked in astonishment at her easily dealing with the rude girls, “Ugh…It’s Claire…Let’s go.” Noticing the familiar person, the young girls hurried away, not wanting to mess with her.
“Yeah, that’s right! Go on and run off like cowards!” Claire yelled at them, “I’ll tell a teacher!”
She turned to face you. “You okay?”
With a quick but silent nod on your end, the girl was satisfied for that matter, “Good. I’m glad. Those girls try to be the next ‘Mean Girls’ of the school but completely suck at it.”
A laugh erupted from your throat softly: “That’s a funny one.”
“Thanks! I watched the movie plenty of times with my brother!” She grinned.
She stretched out a hand to you, “My name is Claire Redfield. Call me Claire!”
You shook her hand, saying your name as well, “Nice to meet you!” Claire grinned.
“I think we’re going to be great friends from now on!” She said happily.
Fast forward later…and she was right! The two of you grew so close that you attended the same high school AND university.
You both were inseparable; you were the first to know everything. Even when it came to her parents’ sudden deaths, you grew closer to her.
{Year 1998 - 20 years old. | June}
Time flew by, and now you attend University.
To save money, you stayed with your parents and commuted there while Claire took up residence, since Chris was on deployment for a long period of time.
“Hey. Yeah, I just finished.” You spoke to a few friends when walking on campus after your last class.
“Are you free to hang out?” One of the girls asked.
You smiled apologetically, “Sorry. I have an hour of commuting to do…If we finished earlier, I would.”
No worries, girl! I feel you on that; we’re heading back to our rooms. Safe travels!” She waved it off before you said your goodbyes as you walked them to the residence building before continuing on your own towards the bus stop.
“You need a ride?”
You froze, hearing a voice, “No, sorry–” you were quick to politely decline before your eyes widened in shock when you saw a familiar face.
“Chris?!”
The man smiled. “Hey. Whoa–” He was surprised when you hugged him tightly, almost tackling him to the ground.
“When did you–How–What–You–!” You rambled, asking multiple things at once.
Chris laughed, “First things first. Let’s breathe, okay? Slowly.”
You did as instructed, calming down, “Right…”
“When did you get here?” You asked, grasping onto his arms as he held your shoulders.
“This morning. Wanted to see you first thing after your day was over,” he answered.
You smiled at that, “Well…This is certainly a surprise. Welcome back.”
“Thanks, it’s good to be home.” he smiled.
You suddenly realized that you were still holding onto him, making you quickly move away awkwardly. “Sorry…Should’ve noticed sooner,” you shyly murmured.
“It’s fine.” He assured, “I don’t mind if it’s you.”
Desperate to ignore the sudden heat flowing through your face by his words, you changed the subject, “Uhm…Have you seen Claire yet? She’s in her room. I can–”
“I saw her at lunchtime. All she did was push me out of her dorm, telling me I should go find you first,” Chris cut you off gently, crossing his arms.
‘You’re welcome!’ You could internally hear Claire’s teasing smile if she were here.
She found out about you developing a crush on her brother during your first semester in university. And since then…she’s been nonstop teasing you.
“One day…she'll be the reason I start aging quicker…”You mumbled.
“You say something?” Chris asked as you smiled, “N-No! It’s nothing!”
“So…?” He scratched the back of his head. “Am I allowed to drive you home?”
You let out a short laugh, “Of course.” He led you to where he parked his car.
It was a Jeep Wrangler, regardless of its year, it looked in good shape. Chris opened the door for you to enter as he grabbed your bag, placing it on your lap before closing the door.
“Everything good? Do you need anything?” He asked, reaching over to put your seatbelt on, making you freeze in place, briefly smelling his cologne.
“Mhm. I’m good. Thank you.” You nodded, appreciating his gesture as he started the car after putting on his seatbelt.
As he got on the road, he looked over to you in the passenger seat. “How’re your classes?”
“Fun! It’s exactly what I expected,” you chirped happily, holding his gaze.
He was the first to break it as he had to look ahead when driving, “That’s great. You’re studying pediatrics, right?”
You gave him an impressed look, “I am. Did Claire tell you? I don’t recall telling you since you were away.”
“I might’ve asked about you a few times whenever I had time to call her,” Chris admitted, hiding a hint of a shy tone when speaking the truth.
A newfound heat rushed to your face again as you tried your best to ignore it. Staying composed.
“I should’ve called you more, then…Sorry…Classes have been cramped up with my labs and–” you started, soon stopping when hearing him chuckle.
He grinned, “No worries. I know you have a lot on your plate because of your studies. Plus, the times when you DID call were good enough.”
“It’s good hearing your voice and seeing your face,” he revealed, glancing your way briefly before looking forward again.
You stayed silent as you felt your heart doing those stupid flips as it usually did whenever he spoke to you directly.
“I agree…” You smiled softly, looking his way, “I missed you.”
He stopped at a red light before locking eyes with you: “I missed you, too.”
A short stretch of silence that felt longer than expected filled the car besides the engine running and the AC on low.
You both looked away, noticing that you stared a bit too long at each other.
“Sorry. I–No, it’s my bad.” You spoke in unison. Making you both laugh in realization.
Chris shook his head, “But seriously. My bad. I didn’t mean to make things so awkward.”
You waved your hands around a little, “No, no. You didn’t; it was mostly me. You know? With how shy I am.” You laughed lightly.
“Are we going to argue over who’s at fault?” He raised an eyebrow directed at you.
A smile appeared on your lips, “I don’t know. I think we’re already doing it.”
The two of you laughed once more as the light finally turned green.
“By the way. How’s the Air Force?” You asked in curiosity as he did a left turn at the next light.
Chris stayed silent, letting the question linger in his mind for a second.
“Actually…” he trailed off, “I resigned.”
Your eyes widened. “Did you really?”
He nodded, looking at his blind spot before changing lanes. “Yep,” he said, letting his lips make a popping sound when pronouncing the “P”.
“This was 2 years ago, though. In ‘96,” he clarified as you hummed in response, “Basically, I was training in firearms and other weapons.”
You thought about the previous years, suddenly remembering how Chris stayed home more, which would point out that it was during the time he left the Air Force. “So that’s why…”
“But I joined the police force,” he added, entering the highway to beat normal traffic. “They scouted me from Raccoon City. I’ve been there a few times to see what’s happening. I decided to stay there.”
“I thought so. You seem like someone who’d do that type of profession, aside from being a firefighter or an arm wrestler,” you thought aloud.
Chris let out a loud bellyaching laugh at that, “Really? Me? As an arm wrestler?”
“You have the guts and strength for it,” you shrugged.
“I’d much rather be a firefighter. I’d just beat the shit outta my opponent in the ring for trying to cheat or something.” He noted, using the fast lane, one hand on the wheel as his other lay on the center console of the car.
Just the thought of that makes you laugh, “Yeah…I can’t argue with you there.” You agreed as he got off at the exit to where you live.
“But hey, if that were true, you’re not far off.” he smiled, turning right to where your neighbourhood is.
When finding your house, he parked in the driveway, turning the car off, “We’re here.”
“Thanks, Chris. You basically saved me almost an hour and a half of bus rides and a train ride.” You thanked him.
“No worries.” He shrugged it off, getting out of his car to go open the passenger door for you, “Besides, I like these long drives with you. It’s fun. Totally not because my sister threatened me to drop you off.”
You laughed softly, thanking him once more as you exited the vehicle, “Sorry in advance.”
“Please, she’s my sister; she loves me too much,” he boasted.
“I will not be the one responsible for your injuries in the near future if she ever hears that,” you swore, pretending there was a bible in front of you.
The taller male in front of you let out a small laugh, “How rude. You’d leave me vulnerable?”
“You’re on your own.” You smiled as you made it to your front porch.
Taking out your keys, you searched for the right one for your house, moving in between the key chains and trinkets attached to the hoops.
“So, Raccoon City, huh?” You started.
He nodded, letting out a small breath, “Yeah.”
“You know that’s at least 4 to 5 hours away and that it’s in the Midwestern area, right?” You asked.
The man nodded again, “Uh-huh.”
“You already moved?”
“Yeah. In late 96.”
“Claire knows?”
“For sure. She was the first to know.”
“Have you found a decent place to live there?”
“Small apartment. Good neighbourhood, close to a gas station, bank, some food joints, and grocery stores. It’s quiet too.”
You nodded, finally finding the house key. “I’m happy for you.”
“Thanks. It means a lot coming from you.” He replied.
He held a soft look. “Sorry for only telling you after 2 years.”
You shook your head, “It’s alright. We’re both adults, super busy, and life just happens.”
“You’re always so understanding. People can learn from you,” he complimented you on your patience.
You felt the familiar flush reaching your cheeks as you couldn’t stop your grin from appearing: “I try.”
“I’ll make sure to update you more in the future, promise,” he vowed with a serious nod.
“You don’t need to, but I’ll look forward to it.” You smiled, knowing how stubborn he is when wanting to keep his word.
“I really missed you.”
You halted in your movements. You heard that sentence in the car, but you felt the emotion behind it. The flood of feelings rushed back, as now the silence from before wasn’t a cry for help this time.
But it was a steady silence that anticipated what would happen next.
“I…” Chris started, subtly shifting from one foot to another before standing still on the porch with you, “I just wanted to tell you that.”
He looked like he wanted to say more but decided to keep his mouth shut.
“I missed you too, Chris.” You smiled softly, “More than you know.”
The air between you cracked with newfound tension, neither of you willing to take the next step.
You were about to speak some more, possibly confess after so many months.
“I–”
You stopped when hearing his phone ringing as he cursed under his breath, “Sorry…” he muttered before sighing heavily when seeing the caller ID.
With an annoyed tone, he answered, putting it on speakerphone, “What do you want?”
“You’re taking an awfully long time to drop her off. Did you get lost and leave your phone on her porch or something?”
The man rolled his eyes. “No, I didn’t. I’m not stupid.”
“Uh-huh…Considering you’re a man, that’s debatable.”
Hearing Claire’s insult made you hold back your laughter as you puffed your cheeks.
“When did you get so rude? You weren’t like this when you were younger,” the older sibling said.
“I was always like this. You just never noticed. Now, put the phone where my bestie is. I need to see if she’s alive after your horrible driving.”
Chris was unamused as he stretched his arm to you with his phone in hand: “Tell her you’re alive.”
“Hi, CC! I’m okay. Chris was an amazing driver. I give him 5 stars,” you spoke to the phone.
“Girlfriend! Thank goodness! Hi! Miss you lots, girl! Glad you’re home safe! We’ll hang out next week, ‘kay?”
You smiled, “Sure! I’m down. I’ll text you when I’m free.”
Chris moved his hand back, having his phone near his face, “Good. She’s alive. You happy?”
“Oh, shut up! Did I tell you to speak? I wasn’t done with talking to her!”
“Okay, I think I’ve had it with you, young lady,” he said, quickly cutting the phone call off to an end.
You burst into small fits of laughter. “14 years of raising her, and this is what I get? I don’t believe in parenthood anymore,” he sighed.
“You’ll get your credit where it’s due. I’m sure. I’ll help.” You held out your pinky, “don’t tell her.”
He nodded, hooking his pinky around yours before pressing his much bigger thumb against yours, “Deal.”
Noticing it getting dark a little, Chris stepped back a little, “Well, I better head back. I still haven’t checked into the hotel I’m staying at. They’ll accept me if I make it now.”
“You’ll be alright?” You asked as he assured you he’s got it covered, “Alright. Be safe. Sleep well.”
Chris smiled softly, “Thanks. You too, alright? Don’t stay up too late.”
You watched him turn his back on you as he went into his car. A sharp pain of sadness appeared in the pit of your stomach when realizing you weren’t able to confess to him.
Seeing him leave made your heart ache already.
You held your smile when watching the reverse from the driveway as you waved when seeing him drive off.
Staring at the empty road, you sighed, “I really need to lock in, or else I’ll stay single till I die…” You trudged inside your home after unlocking it, closing the screen and the door of the home, locking it behind you.
For 2 months, Chris had repeatedly been texting and calling you whenever he had time. That didn’t change when he returned to Raccoon City to continue working in the new task force the police department had deployed.
Sometimes, Claire would join, turning it into some group calls, but it felt as if Chris wanted to speak to you one-on-one more instead.
There was a small stretch of silence for a few weeks as Chris had mentioned he’d be out investigating something with his teammates and wouldn’t be in contact with either you or his sister.
Instead… a whole month has passed since, and you haven’t heard a peep about Chris. Not even Claire knows.
You’ve known Chris for 3 years; you both became close friends, and now family, aside from the developing feelings you’ve had for him since attending university.
You know that he wouldn’t ghost you or his family unless necessary to ensure your and Claire’s safety.
A/N: Writing before going to sleep has become my therapy at this point…
Word count: 1.09k+
Warning: unhinged sayings (All for fun, do NOT take this seriously), explicit words, marital humour
Pairing: (DI) Chris Redfield x FemWife!Reader.
Note: You are pregnant with your first child.
Synopsis: While Chris just wanted to stay in shape because of his job, you couldn’t help but marvel at the sight of his muscular arms.
The day blended in as well as the previous ones, the sun would come up, stay for a couple hours and then go back to rest and repeat each day.
The warm weather and conditions had given Chris the excuse to start getting more active during his days off.
On your end, you were still trying to get from one place to another through the mundane house. Not like you were lazy or anything (...ahem…!) just carrying some precious cargo for a few months.
Since getting pregnant, you would notice how much more gentle and protective your husband was of you. He was always gentle with you, but now he treated you as if you’d break in his hold if he tensed even just a little bit.
Even more so when in public, to which he states he’d much rather have you in bed while he deals with whatever outdoor chore you need to finish.
For example, you had needed to get extra groceries for the week and, of course, Chris accompanied you, he wasn’t just going to let his pregnant wife go all alone.
He acted like a bodyguard the whole time while you were just picking the right vegetables and fruits.
The poor people who accidentally glanced your way were met with his piercing stare, making them scurry off.
So, yes, he’s overprotective…maybe a bit too much…
Also, there’s a significant development in his presence as well, as he started working out more, his stature and persona had changed drastically.
“I just want to be able to carry you both without breaking a sweat.” Was what he said simply once when you asked him why he was working so hard to keep in shape when he was on leave.
Regardless of your interjections of saying that he’s already plenty fit and healthy, he still shrugged, “No harm in getting more work done. If it’ll benefit you and our baby, I don’t mind.” When he said that, you just stood there baffled while blinking rapidly.
Leaving that conversation behind that day, you simply let him do what he pleased since he seemed quite determined.
It was almost obviously imminent that anyone would see a change in Chris’ appearance, but you were blessed to see that type of change up close.
“Honey, I made that protein shake you always drink—”
One day, during a lazy morning, you decided to make your husband’s drink he always consumes post workout. And the rest was history…
You stopped dead in your tracks, halting in the doorway of the indoor gym when seeing a magnificent view of muscles flexing before your eyes.
Chris was merely doing bicep curls, at least holding heavy weights that are double the usual load a normal person would.
All he wore was a simple dark T-shirt that matched his black shorts and indoor shoes.
But none of that mattered to you, what caught your attention immediately was his already big arms flexing at each rep.
You paid attention to every detail.
The way the veins would be subtly visible before showing themselves whenever his muscles activated…the droplets of sweat glistening down his skin…the way the said muscles expanded, stretching the elasticity of the shirt’s sleeve…
“I guess it is my lucky day…” you whispered to yourself, trapped in a daze.
After a few more reps, Chris placed the dumbbells back on the rack with a rough grunt, he finally noticed your figure standing in the doorway.
“I didn’t notice you,” he smiled your way before looking at your hand, “Oh. My drink. How kind of you, honey.”
The man walked over to you after drying the sweat off his forehead, taking the drink out of your hand.
“You didn’t have to, but thanks.” he thanked you, leaning down to kiss your temple.
Noticing your silence he stopped mid-sip, “You okay?”
“Uh-huh…perfectly fine,” you nodded almost instantly, still staring at his biceps.
Chris immediately took detail in your apparent staring, and an amused look appeared on his face.
He purposefully cleared his throat loudly to try to divert your attention back to his face. (Yeah…fat chance…)
“Is there anything you’d like to say to me?” He asked with a small laugh, finding the idea of his wife completely fixated on his muscles quite funny and endearing.
You kept your gaze fixed on his muscles. Replying to him without even thinking, “Mhm…” Clearly not paying attention.
This further made your spouse laugh lightly, “Hello? Earth to my wife?” He waved a hand in front of your face.
“H-Huh…? What?” You blinked, suddenly out of your spell.
“You were staring.” He simply noted, “Never knew you were an observer.” Chris teased lightly.
You felt your cheeks heat up a little, “W-What? No. They were in the way when I was looking at your face.”
He tilted his head, challenging your reasoning, “Huh…? Maybe you’re right.”
“Exactly. I AM right.” You confirmed, trying to keep the rest of your dignity alive.
Chris let out a small snort, “Right…Like you’re not currently eyeing me at the moment,” he trailed on, purposefully crossing his arms to make his arms look bigger.
You were clearly staring, mesmerized by the sight, “Thank goodness I’m already pregnant…” you whispered.
“Pardon?” He raised an eyebrow with a low smirk.
“Nothing! Just drink your beverage and take a shower,” You quickly replied before he could, averting your eyes to a nearby wall.
“Yes ma’am,” that deep voice of his will probably someday kill you before anything else.
Your eyes diverted back to his muscles as he busied himself with downing the smoothie in a few seconds.
“I can see and feel you staring,” he called you out, getting you to flinch while letting out a small squeak at being caught.
Chris looked down at you with a teasing glint in his eyes, “You’re horrible with keeping a poker face, hun’.” He leaned down to meet your gaze.
“J-Just go take your damn shower already!” You repeated, taking his used towel around his shoulders and shoved it in his face before making a run for it.
The man was taken aback but let out a chuckle before jogging after you, “If you admit to staring, I can let you join me in my shower!” He called out after her.
“STAY BACK! AND I WAS NOT STARING!”
“Sure you were…But, hey, I understand. Come on, I’ll give you the VIP treatment!”
“Chris! I swear—”
“I can start flexing all the time if you want. Maybe even join those muscle contests—”
A/N: I woke up at 4 in the morning thinking about this… (I don’t know what’s wrong with me…)
I had WAY too much fun with this...

Pairing: (Vendetta) Chris Redfield x WifeFem!Reader | Claire and Leon are mentioned and are married here.
Warning: A weirdo in the final part of the story. (Isn’t angst!) Just some tooth rooting fluff! (Chris deserves a family and a happy ending!)
Note: You and Chris have four kids here. (Like the last fic) Made a little younger to go with the timeline. 1. Charlotte (8 yrs) 2. Noah (6 yrs) 3. Piers (4 in a half yrs) 4. Lucas (2 yrs) All in the same timeline except this is when they’re younger.
Synopsis: During a hot day on a weekend, you and your husband suggested a day out to the local waterpark with some family and friends!
"Are we there yet??"
"No."
…
…
…
"Are we there now?"
"Nope."
…
…
…
"Now?"
"No."
…
…
…
"Are we—"
"Noah! If you ask one more time I’m gonna literally chuck your switch out the window!" Charlotte was first to blow a fuse.
"Charlotte!" You gasped at her outburst.
Meanwhile, your husband was cracking up while driving, keeping a hand on steering wheel while the other held your hand.
"I’m not giving you mine if she does it…" Piers mumbled, watching some videos online on his device.
Luca mainly made some noises either his mouth to pass the time, just watching the trees come and go as van drove past them.
"You’re not helping…" you huffed, glancing at Chris who still held a smile.
He shrugged, "I mean, she got that attitude from you. I don’t know what else to tell you."
You playfully hit his bicep, "I’ll get you back for that…" you mumbled.
"Sure you will," he mused, holding back a smile.
As the van started to slow down, the waterpark came into view.
"I see it!" Lucas was first to point it out when seeing the sign.
"Dad! Does that mean—" Noah started as Chris chuckled, "Yes, we’re here now."
"Finally!" Charlotte expressed her enthusiasm, "Next time, I’m sitting next to Dad when going home."
You turned your head to face her as Chris drove through the gate once it opened, "Hey! Where am I going to sit?"
"With the boys. Sorry, Mom. I need to be around more mature adults," The girl said casually.
You held a slightly deterred expression, going to glance at your husband again, "No way she got that from me…Must’ve been Claire…"
"Nah. You’re worse," Chris noted before laughing when you hit him again, “Ow! Did you forget I’m the one driving us here, haha!"
"Say that again, Chris Redfield, I dare you!" You dared him all while shaking his shoulder as he easily held your hands back.
"You’re attacking an unarmed man! That’s worth an arrest warrant," he joked, letting go of your arm when you stopped as he went to park the car near the entrance of the park.
"We’ll see about that. They’ll have to catch me first," you smiled, unbuckling your seatbelt to help the kids get out of the van.
You went to Charlotte’s side first as she easily dismounted from the vehicle as the other boys needed more assistance with their car seats.
"Stay near the car when you’re out, okay? Your father and I will make a headcount," you called out to the older kids as you got Lucas out last.
When getting the cargo out of the trunk, Chris did a roll call, "Char?"
"Here!”
"Noah?"
"Here!"
"Piers?"
"Right over here!"
"And Lucas?"
You emerged from the other side of the vehicle, "Right here!" He giggled.
"’Kay. Good. Everyone’s here." The man nodded before looking at his wife, "No matter what happens, you listen to your mother, okay? Whatever she says goes. Is that clear?"
All kids nodded, replying with their own response.
"Why don’t we go have you guys changed, hm?" You smiled, carrying Lucas as the kids excitedly followed you towards the changing rooms.
It took a bit of time and effort, but all kids were now in their bathing suits. Charlotte wore a strawberry themed one piece, Noah had superhero themed trunks on that matched with Piers’ dinosaur themed ones, and Lucas wore starry stripped trunks.
Your husband wore simple dark trunks with pockets, keeping his Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned since he thinks it looks "hip" as what people call it nowadays. (Spoiler…it didn’t…but it sure makes him look like a dad…)
You changed into a simple one piece Mesh sheer Sarong Wraps Bathing Suit, accompanied by some sun shades and sun hat to block out the sun.
Once seeing that everyone is changed, you told the kids to head towards the picnic area to find a spot where they can lay their things.
Charlotte, of course, took over for you. Staying in front while keeping her brothers in line to save the hassle of running after them.
"Lookin’ good, Mama…~" You heard Chris say, clearly staring at your figure while you covered your mouth to keep it together.
"Not in front of the kids, dear. Plus we still need to find Claire," you tried changing the subject.
"Yes, ma’am," he obeyed your order, but not before subtly snagging the bottom of your bathing suit with his fingers, letting it snap back in place when he let go. Which in turn earned a gasp from you.
You were glad you wore shades or else everyone would’ve see your bewildered expression of what just happened.
"That’s two times now that you got over me," you muttered, holding back a pout, walking next to him while pushing the two seat baby stroller that only Lucas occupied at the moment.
"I’m sorry, sweetheart. Can’t resist teasing my wife at times," he kissed your cheek to ease your anger.
You rolled your eyes behind your shades, "Uh, huh…Sure."
He then feigned hurt when hearing your monotone voice, "Ouch, that’s gonna burn more than the sun burn I’ll be getting later on."
Eventually, a smile reappeared on your face, "You’re so stupid at times."
"It’s why you love me," he returned your smile, swatting your hands so he could push the stroller, still carrying the cooler and backpack on his shoulders.
You watched as your husband casually walked around the area carrying not one, not two, but three bags while pushing a stroller.
In your mind, you thanked whoever made him your spouse.
"Hey! Over here!"
You heard a familiar voice and smiled when seeing your sister-in-law.
"Claire!" You waved from afar.
The kids were already running over to her, "Aunty Claire!"
"Oh! My! You guys have gotten so big already!" She smiled, crouching down to hug the three kids.
She turned to Lucas in the stroller, already unbuckling him to carry him, "Hey, Lu!"
"Did you bring Uncle Leon?” Charlotte asked as Claire laughed, pointing at the said man sitting by the table.
Charlotte was first to go greet Leon as the rest of the kids followed suit.
"Sometimes…I think my own daughter likes him more than me…" Chris muttered, squinting his eyes.
You chuckled, patting his chest, "I think you’re imagining things."
"No. No, I’m not. You’re just trying to deter me from getting paranoid," he denied.
Claire rolled her eyes at that, "Oh, hush, big brother. Let the kids get to know him. I’ve been married to him for as long as you were with your wife."
"Actually, it’s half of that. We got married 6 years before you two. I keep count." Her older brother clarified seriously, "What? I keep count of how long I've been married to the best woman in the world."
You felt your cheeks warm again at his words, smiling widely in response, "Aw..." You cooed, wrapping your arms around his muscular bicep.
"And that's exactly how you two got four kids," Claire but in, still carrying Lucas.
"Okay, low blow. But the question here should be about you. Where are the little bundles of joy on your end," Chris defended both his and your pride.
His younger sister merely gave him a judgmental glance before walking away with your son. Muttering something between the lines of "my brother is hound..." while moving away.
"See what I had to deal with back then?" Chris threw his arms up lightly, turning his head towards you.
You laughed, going on your toes to kiss his cheek, "I got you. Don't worry."
Leon gave you and Chris a small wave, "Thanks for joining."
"Of course!" You replied, unpacking the things in the backpack, "The kids really were excited to you see and Claire."
"Yep...I think I got the memo..." The blonde huffed out, seeing three of the kids that were either dangling off of his arms or hugging his bare back.
Chris let out a small snort, "Look at you, getting taken down by an army of children."
"I was caught off guard," Leon defended.
You told your kids to give Leon some space, "Okay! Before anyone goes to the park, I'm applying sunscreen. If I see even one of you without it, you're staying behind and won't go on the water rides."
There were groans from the children heard, "Hey, come on, gang. Mom just doesn't want any of you to get sunburnt, okay?" Chris told his kids, urging them to listen to you.
Charlotte went first as Piers stood behind her. Noah and Lucas were last in line as you applied sunscreen to everyone. "Okay! You're free to go!" You announced to the kids, "Aunty Claire and Uncle Leon will go with you firstly while your father and I unpack the rest of the stuff."
"Okay!" The kids said before cheering, following Claire.
"Who's ready for some fun?!" The woman asked as the kids eagerly followered her to the kids section of the park.
Both you and Chris watched to see the four children follow Claire as Leon walked behind them, acting as some sort of bodyguard.
"They'll be fine, right?" He asked as you turned to unpack the kids' stuff.
"They will. They have Leon and Claire. And we both know those two can take care of themselves and the kids," You assured your husband.
Noticing his still concerned face as he kept his gaze to where the other couple and children went, you walked over to stand beside the much taller male.
"If you're that paranoid. You can help me unpack, and we'll join them in a few minutes," you offered a solution. "Now, can you try to have some fun? At least for me, please? It's been months since we all hung out together as a family."
Chris stared at you and his eyes softened, "Alright. I'll try. For you."
"Thank you," you said gently before unpacking, and with Chris' help, you managed to get everything ready in a few minutes.
After getting everything settled. You went to join Claire and the others. They were already seen in the kiddie pool with small waves.
"Mom! Dad! Over here!" Charlotte eagerly waved her arms at her parents before letting out a squeal at Noah purposefully splashing her. "Noah! Come back here!" She laughed, walking around in the water, trying to splash her sibling back.
"Noah, don't go overboard," You reminded your eldest son. "Okay, Mom!" He called out before running away from her sister, who still chased after him.
Chris ended up taking off his hawaïen shirt, making you hold onto it for the time being.
Lucas wanted to see the view, so he was perched on his father's shoulders as Piers played around with Claire and Leon, as you watched over the two eldest kids who ran a bit further from the group.
You took a few photos and videos, keeping your phone in those waterproof cases people have.
"Whoa! I see the slides from up here!" Lucas grinned, pointing at the tallest water slide in the park.
"It's an advantage to being that tall, huh?" You teased lightly, having to crane your neck a little to look at your spouse.
A small laugh escaped his lips, "Maybe it's because you're too short."
"For your information, I am of average height for a woman. You, on the other hand, apparently asked for more height, and they have you too much." You retorted.
Chris merely grinned, "Whatever makes you feel more comfortable, hun'."
"Stop patronizing me," you lightly slapped his bicep as he laughed.
"Dad, can you put me down?" Lucas asked, kicking his feet lightly against his father's chest.
"Sure, bud," he let out a soft groan when using some of his strength carry him in his arms.
"And...down we go," Lucas was let down, but not before getting soaked by his father, gently dipping him in the water before letting him stand on his own two feet.
Lucas gasped, looking back at the adult, "You cheated!" He pointed up at him.
Chris pretended to be oblivious, "What? I'd never do that to my son."
The boy merely threw him a side glance before going to join his older brother.
"He has the same judgy look you give me whenever I act out of line," Chris chuckled when seeing the resemblance.
You held a proud smile, "Of course. I mean, my genes are there too, you know. The Redfield DNA cannot keep me completely out."
"Eh...Debatable," Chris tilted his head to the side, "But, I guess you're right."
"Ah! Mom help me!"
You watched Noah laughing while still running away from his sister, calling out for help. "I got you, Noah!" You went to help him hide from his sister.
Unfortunately, Noah didn't take in the way you double-crossed your fingers, giving a small smile to Charlotte as you both went to splash him, caging him in.
"Not fair!" Noah cried out, weakly splashing water at you both in defence.
You gasped, feeling some water hit your back as you turned to see Chris holding a smirk, "Did you really think Noah didn't have backup?"
"You-AH!" You were about to speak before letting out a high-pitched squeal, feeling more water hit your back.
Charlotte splashed her father to defend you, "Hey! No tag teaming on Mom, Dad!"
She let out a small squeak as Leon splashed her lightly, "Well, that doesn't apply to me, now does it?" He smiled.
Claire joined your side and Charlotte's, splashing back at the boys, "There's more of you, that's not a fair fight!"
"You started this," Chris reminded, splashing his sister.
"Whoever joins my side gets food first," You called out to the boys.
Your bait worked as Piers, Lucas and Noah joined your side, leaving Leon and Chris to fend for themselves alone.
"Okay, bribery is a crime, babe," Chris started to complain as you just smiled.
"Remember what you said earlier? Whatever I say goes. They're just following your rules," you smiled, winking his way.
"And that's also called stealing my words and using them against me," he added as Leon dodged a water attack from both Claire and Charlotte, "Should we give in?"
Claire grinned at her husband, "it's in your best interest."
"WATER FIGHT!!!" Charlotte shouted with a smile.
After having fun in the water for a few hours, the group returned to their table to get some food. You and Claire helped give away the homemade sandwiches and snacks you made for the day.
"Oh, no...I forgot to pack the popsicles..." you muttered, holding your hips after rechecking the cooler. "I'll just go at the food court and stands to buy some."
Chris already held out his wallet to you, "You want me to accompany you?"
You took his wallet and shook your head, "No, no. It's fine. It's not far anyway." You pointed out, "You all go ahead and eat, I'll be back!" You kissed his cheek before going to the food court.
At the outdoor food court, many visitors and families were seen walking the large area, getting food or something to fight off the heat.
It was pretty vast and large, but you found a stand where they sold frozen treats at lower prices if bought in bundles. You went in line, waiting for your turn to order.
Minutes later, the line went fast as there were at least three people in front of you.
"Excuse me..."
You heard a voice that's slightly deep behind you and turned to face a younger man, no older than in his late twenties or early thrities.
"Y-Yes...? Can I help you?" you replied, already not liking having to interact with others. And you felt that the guy had a weird vibe.
He had medium-length brown hair, still wet from the water, and a few tattoos spread out on his chest. He looked at least 5"8, probably just a bit shorter than Leon.
"Sorry, I just couldn't help but notice you walking by before...And...I think you're really, really beautiful. So, I was just wondering," he trailed off, invading your space, "Can I have your number?"
You blinked up at him, slightly surprised at his request; you've never been hit on before. Maybe because Chris was always at your side, and his large frame can practically scare anyone off.
"Uh..." you trailed off, still in slight disbelief, "I'm married." You informed him.
His eyes narrowed sligthly when hearing that, but you couldn't describe the type of expression he was showing.
"Oh," he simply said, "Well. That's uh... embarrassing."
You just gave him a look, "Yeah." You hummed, not knowing what else to tell him further than that.
"Can I still have your number, though? There might be a chance that I'm worth the risk, huh?" he smirked.
You just gave him a once-over, looking up and down at his figure and internally gagged. His personality is probably worse than his looks, too...
"Not happening," you refused instantly, turning to have your back facing him as you stepped closer to the food stand, waiting for your turn.
But he was persistent, walking in front of you, "Come on. You don't even know me."
"That's exactly why I'm refusing, I don't know you and I'm married to my husband." You clarified, already done with the guy.
Regardless of your words, he didn't seem the least deterred from your reasoning. God...you really wished you had brought Chris with you...
~~~
Chris grew increasingly worried when he noticed how much time you took getting the popsicles. The kids were almost already done with their food, chugging drinks and juice boxes.
Claire noticed her brother staring to the direction where you went, "You have that look again."
"What look?" He asked, glancing at her, but kept his head turned ahead.
"The look you always have when your wife is gone for too long," she explained, "You haven't even eaten much of your food," pointing out the half-eaten sandwhich in front of him.
Chris didn't even move, "It's been 12 minutes...about to be 13...She should've been back by now..."
"See what I mean?" Claire shook her head, turning to face her husband who helped clean Piers' face.
The man sent a small smile, "Cut him some slack. In our line of work, we have to constantly worry about those around us. That instinct rarely turns off."
"I guess you're right," Claire hummed, sipping her drink, "Though, in my brother's case, my sister-in-law has him wrapped around her finger."
Chris stood up, dusting off the food crumbs off his swim trunks, "I'm going to find her."
Leon nodded, understanding the feeling, "Go. We got the kids covered."
The man sent him a thankful gaze before walking away.
"What can I say? He's whipped." Claire joked as Leon laughed.
"Again. I am NOT interested."
Hearing your voice, he spotted you at the food stand, trying to fend off a man hitting on you. Chris felt the instinct the protect you from the man, already stalking towards your direction.
Just as the guy tried to reason with you, Chris walked over, holding your waist, "Hey, hun'. What took you so long? I got worried."
Your face held a relieved expression when seeing your husband come to your rescue, "Sorry, my love. The line's a bit long. I didn't mean to cause you worry."
He smiled softly at you, "No worries. As long as you're okay," his face turned stone cold when facing the man bothering his wife, "Who's our new friend here?" He asked, his voice changing to a deeper tone.
"Uh..." the shorter male just dumbly stared at how tall Chris was, seeing how jacked he was, already knowing not to mess with him.
"I was just-" Chris cut him off, "Leaving? Good idea."
He didn't need to be told twice as he scurried off before anything else could happen.
You let out a small sigh, going to cup Chris' face, peppering kisses all over his face, "My hero!~" You smiled.
"All in a day's work," he smiled before going to the stand to get the frozen treats you long awaited for.
"Now, why don't we go join the others? The little monsters are impatient for their popsicles," Chris joked about the kids.
You held onto his arm, following beside him, "I bet they are."
When walking to the picnic table, you couldn't help but give your husband a look, overseeing his facial features, "I should bring you with me more often on my outings."
Chris raised an eyebrow, looking down at you, "Why's that?"
"In case other guys try to hit on me. I can have my own bodyguard," You smiled, "Comes in handy to have such a strong husband."
He let out a loud laugh, shaking his head, "You'll be paying me, though, right?"
"Yes, but the money will be coming out of YOUR wallet," you answered as he rolled his eyes, "I give you enough of an allowance as is."
"True. But you can never have too much money, my dear husband." You told him.
Your husband merely gave you a look, "You're so lucky I love you."
"I know." You grinned, "I love you, Chris."
"I love you too," he smiled.
"Finally! Popsicles!" The kids cheered, jumping in place near the table.
You waved at the group, "Told you they were impatient," Chris whispered to you as you let out a small laugh, finally joining the others.
Claire saved you a spot as you all continued on about your day.
Note: I read a RE9 Leon version of this, and I just HAD to make a Chris version of it. ( HEAVILY inspired by @uramakimochi !! )
Pairing: (Death Island) Chris Redfield x FemWife!Reader
Extra: You and Chris have four kids, you read right. FOUR. (I SO see this guy having at least 2 to 5 kids. All to continue the Redfield Bloodline…)
Kids: Charlotte (oldest), Noah (second oldest), Piers (second youngest), Lucas (youngest)
I like to think about this variation of Chris since they made him show more emotions. The same goes for Vendetta Chris!
Synopsis: After a long week, the Redfield Family was enjoying a lazy Saturday. One of the kids had an idea for a video they’d like to post. And somehow got you roped into it.
In the large suburban home, you were sweeping the wooden tiles at 10 in the morning. Birds were still chirping, having just woken up. The kids weren’t awake til an hour later since they stayed up late Friday.
Chris had gone on his morning run, woke up at 5, got ready at 6:30, did his 30-minute stretches, and left at 7:15 after kissing you goodbye. Honestly, you don’t know why he has to wake up so early, but whatever…
Your firstborn daughter, Charlotte, came down the stairs, wearing a pink sleep set you’d bought for her 9th birthday.
“Morning, Mom…” The ten-year-old greeted you, hugging your leg.
You placed the broom against the nearest wall and dust pan on the ground, “Hi, baby,” you smiled softly, crouching down to hug her, “How’d you sleep?”
“Okay…Still sleepy, though…” she replied.
A laugh left your lips, “That’s why we tell you and your siblings to sleep at 8, not midnight.”
“But it was movie night!” She justified, “We never had a movie night in weeks, especially with Dad.”
Your eyes softened, going to cradle her head briefly, “Well, you are right. I’ll make sure we have plenty more before your dad leaves next time, okay?”
“Yay!” Charlotte cheered, “So…Can we have pancakes?”
The young girl’s mother shook her head while smiling, finding her amusing, “Again? Really? Oh, alright. But if your siblings complain about having them again, I’ll have to make something else. And you gotta help.”
“Deal!” your daughter agreed, shaking your hand. She went to freshen up as the rest of the family woke up.
Noah, the second-oldest, was heard running through the halls upstairs, “Charlotte! Stop taking my toys!” The 8-year-old whined.
“They were mine before they were yours! Mom got you better ones! I lost mine!” The older sister rebuked.
A small giggle left your body when hearing their banter. After cleaning up the mess on the ground, you threw it in the trash, tapping the dust pan a few times before placing the cleaning items back in the closet.
Up the stairs, the door of the third child in the family was opened by you. Crouching down near the dinosaur-themed bed, you rubbed the 4-year-old’s back gently.
“Hey, sweetie. Good morning. Did you sleep well?” You said softly, the four-year-old let out an incoherent noise as he leaned into your hold, and you hoisted him up in your arms.
“Mum…” You hummed at his mumble, “Morning, Piers. Come on, let’s get you washed up.”
After helping the second youngest of the family to wash up, you ushered all three kids down the stairs so they could go get some food.
You went down the stairs, holding Lucas, the youngest of the family. Perching the 1-year-old on a booster seat designed for him.
When making some French toast for yourself and your husband, who texted he’s on his way back from his run, you heard a few sounds, “Charlotte. No tablets when eating.”
“But…Mom! I wanna show you something! My friend sent it to me.~” She whined, turning her device to face your back.
You kept your back turned, concentrating on the toast before turning the stove off and letting the bread rest. Now moving to make the post-run smoothie you always make for Chris.
“What is it? Sorry, I’m preoccupied right now.”
Both Charlotte and Noah explained the video that the oldest wanted to show you.
“Okay…”
“So let me get this straight…”
You were now leaning against the kitchen island, “This prank…It’s basically about you talking back at your parents to see others’ reaction?”
Both children nodded as Piers munched on his cut-up pancakes, “Yep!”
“You do know that your father won’t be too happy about this, right?” You asked, “I mean…what if he takes it seriously? I’m not ready to watch one of you get chased around the house.”
Charlotte shrugged it off, “Don’t worry, Mom. Dad acts like a puppy around you; he probably won’t hear Noah telling you off.”
Your cheeks warmed at the comment, “Out of question.” You denied.
“Please! I’ll clean my room for a week on my own, you won’t even need to check,” the oldest pleaded.
When seeing both Charlotte and Noah’s pleading looks and pouty lips, a soft sigh left their mother’s lips.
Your head fell forward, obscuring their view of your face.
“Oh, alright…Just…Please don’t make me regret this…”
“Yay! Thanks, Mom!”
“It’ll be fun!”
Despite you agreeing, they were informed that if their father gets angry for real, they should immediately stop the prank and apologize, to which both kids agreed.
The prank was in place just as the man of the hour returned from his run.
“I’m home!”
Piers was first to greet his father, “Papa!”
Chris smiled, crouching down to pick him up, “Hey, buddy! Were you good to your Mom?”
“Mhm! We had pancakes,” the four-year-old giggled, “Again? Your mom sure loves to spoil you guys, huh?” his father chuckled before putting him down as he walked through the doorway, his son following after him.
Once his large frame came into view, Charlotte and Noah ran to him, “Dad!”
Chris was able to easily pick them off the ground, “Whoa! Good morning to you two.”
“I’m guessing you asked for pancakes again, huh, Char?” Her father teased lightly.
The young girl merely grinned, “Yep! Ain’t my fault, Mom makes the best pancakes.”
“True to that,” her father chuckled, sending a high-five her way, “Her food’s the best. That's why I always ask for seconds.”
“He’s a liar. He had fourths before you were born,” you chimed in, washing the kids’ plates in the sink.
Your husband made his way towards you, “It’s only morning, and you’re already taking jabs at me,” he feigned hurt by your words.
“Couldn’t help myself,” you smiled, “Good morning,” greeting him with a kiss.
“Good morning,” he mumbled against your lips.
Charlotte, Noah, and Piers all collectively groaned and shouted in protest when seeing their parents kiss, “Ew! Mom! Dad!”
Both parents laughed before Lucas was lifted out of his chair by his father, “Almost missed you, little man. Glad I caught ya. You got bigger, didn’t you?” He asked, gently raising him in the air.
His son giggled, showing his gummy smile, “You’re definitely going to surpass your old man one day.” Chris smiled, holding his son for a moment before placing him back in his booster seat.
He told you he was going to take a shower, and was already walking towards the stairs.
You locked eyes with both Charlotte and Noah, nodding at them. Noah got the signal and went to turn your phone on and roll the camera.
While plating the French toast from before to eat, you called out to your son, Noah, who lay on the carpet in the living room, “Noah? Can you go clean up your room? I’ll go clean Piers and Lucas’ rooms later.”
Noah pretended not to hear, playing on his tablet. Charlotte sat by the dining table, watching the scene unfold with a front row seat, with a smile.
Lucas sat in your lap now as you gave him a milk carton he drinks every morning, as Piers managed to climb up the seat beside you, wanting to be closer to his mother. He, too, had a milk carton, though it was chocolate.
After a beat, you tried again as planned, “Noah?” you called out again.
The boy let out a dramatic sigh, probably also rolling his eyes for dramatic effect. At this point, you’ll change his soccer junior league team career to an acting class, given how professional he was.
At the same time, you could hear Chris’ steps slow down as he went up the stairs; you knew he was listening despite not even being there.
“Come on, Noah. Can’t you help me out here?” You asked.
With a groan, Noah placed down his tablet, “Gosh, Mom…!”
“...Can’t you just shut up?!”
…
…
…
…
You stopped, suddenly not hearing anything, you even thought that Chris hadn’t heard him, but you thought too soon when seeing him practically stomping towards the living room.
Charlotte looked surprised since she didn’t even hear him go down the stairs, a trait he learned to hone when being in the military and the BSAA for so long.
“What did you just say?”
The distant tone made you freeze, knowing he only uses that tone when he’s away on month-long deployments. You know your husband is not one to bring his work to his family, let alone his kids.
Noah was about to explain himself, “Dad, I was just-”
“No.” He cut the boy off, “I think I heard enough from you.”
Chris took the device away from the child’s grasp, “I did not raise my children to say such things to their mother.” He stated seriously, tossing the device on the couch.
You exchanged taken aback glances with your daughter as you stayed silent, watching your husband handle the situation.
“When your mother asks you to do something. You do it. No questions asked,” Noah’s father informed, “We don’t yell or tell others to shut up, not in my house.”
“What’s rule 1?” Chris asked, holding his hips.
Noah averted his gaze, “Never insult or talk back to Mom…”
“Good. At least I taught you one good thing,” the adult concluded.
“Go apologize to your mom or else no tablet, no screen time, and you’ll be grounded for a week,” Chris told Noah, who immediately protested.
Noah gasped, “What?! But, Dad! I was-”
“If you make me repeat myself, it will not be pretty. And I will extend your grounding.” His father interrupted him.
Chris’s eyes narrowed, “Don’t even try me, Noah.”
A stretch of silence filled the house as only the TV was heard in the background with Lucas’ incoherent babbling.
Charlotte was the first to burst out laughing, and you followed suit with Noah lastly.
Your reactions deeply confused Chris, his original anger turning into a mix of slight irritation and confusion, “What is happening?”
“That was priceless!” The eldest cackled, hiding her face on the kitchen island.
Noah rolled on the ground laughing, “Haha! His face!”
“What’s so funny?” Your husband asked as you managed to compose yourself.
“It’s a prank.” You explained, “The kids and I were in on it. And honestly, it was funny.”
“I told you!” Charlotte said.
Staring at you, Charlotte, and then at Noah, who was still cackling on the carpet, Chris let out a sigh.
“You are the reason why my blood pressure rises,” he huffed, casually carrying Noah by the back collar of his shirt as the boy giggled, not deterred by his situation at all.
He was still laughing when he was lightly thrown on the large couch, “Still funny!”
“I didn’t like it…” Chris mumbled, going to your side to hide his face in the crook of your neck while you gently patted his head for comfort. “How mean of you all…”
“There, there, my love.” You hummed.
Charlotte pointed at her parents, “Told you! Dad turns into a puppy when it comes to Mom!”
“We’re gonna send the video to Auntie Claire,” Noah called out.
Hearing his sister’s name made your husband perk up, “You were filming? Oh, no you don’t!” He chased after the two kids who held onto your phone.
Both children laughed while running up the stairs, their father hot on their tails.
“Well, thank goodness you’re on the calmer side,” you noted, gently rocking a sleepy Lucas in your arms, locking eyes with Piers, who was casually finishing his milk carton.
The boy smiled up at you, “Does that mean I get extra pancakes tomorrow?”
You chuckled with a nod, “Sure thing, sweetheart.”
Synopsis: The Hound Wolf Squad was sent to deal with a suspicious group that was terrorizing the outskirts of the city in the U.S. with the remnants of the Umbrella Corporation’s bioweapons that were supposed to be destroyed. While dealing with the mess, the squad was surprised by a revelation they never saw coming.
The Captain of the Hound Wolf Squad has many secrets and is well known for his quick, decisive actions to fight off the threats that threaten humanity. No one knows much about his past, only bits of what he likes or a few habits he reveals during a time of peace.
But he never brings anything else. Of course, his team, who have worked for him for 3 whole years and even went to turn their backs against the HQ’s approval and turn rogue, never knew much about his past. And they respected him for it; he’s a private man after all.
So there wouldn’t be much that could set off the whole squad, right?
Right?!
It was only the afternoon, and Chris was already tired. Why did the higher-ups not deal with their problems?
Wasn’t the Baker House Incident enough? What about the village back in Romania?
It was all the same to him.
And he’s had it.
“Sir, we’ve got five suspects who are under suspicion of using bioweaponry,” Umber Eyes informed in the coms.
With a sigh, Chris flicked his cigarette away with his fingers, “Copy. Lobo, Night Howl and Canine go south, the rest with me as we go north. Let’s get this done quickly.”
“Yes, sir.”
While tracking down the suspects, Chris had thought it was going to be an easy arrest and get on to much better stuff.
How wrong is he…
The suspects just had to go and do something stupid.
Like what, you may ask?
Oh, I don’t know…
Maybe take in hostages and accidentally make a supposedly dead virus into explosives.
You read it right.
EXPLOSIVES.
“Sir, we’ve got traces of explosives nearby, and the suspects took hostages. We’re not sure the number,” Tundra came through the radio, her voice holding a grim tone.
“Secure the hostages and explosives! If possible, get the suspects, but prioritize the innocents first,” the Captain replied, running with Night Howl and Canine after the suspects they spotted.
“This day got a helluva more interesting,” Umber Eyes said under his breath.
Chris cursed under his breath, “Fucking BSAA can’t clean up their messes.”
The team’s sniper tackled one of the suspects, “On the ground!”
Tundra pointed her gun at the other one, “Hands in the air!”
The three were able to surround them, making them unable to escape. “Where are the explosives?” Chris asked the supposed leader.
The man just sneered back, “I ain’t telling you jack shit.”
“You might want to rethink your answer. Because I can still get answers from you even if I shoot your leg,” the male dressed in black replied curtly, pointing his pistol at the suspect’s leg.
This dawned on the leader making him curse, “Fuck…! Fine…I told the rest of my gang to head into the city with them…”
Umber Eyes checked his watch. “They must be near already.”
Chris nodded at the information given before turning away, “Take these bastards away.”
“Canine? What's your status?” He went to speak to the rest of his team.
“Near the city. We’ve got them, but some explosives were smuggled in. There might–”
Before he could finish, the ground started to rumble thanks to the distant sounds of explosions.
“Fuck me…” Chris muttered when staring at the clouds of smoke.
“Get to the site as soon as possible! And secure the perimeter!” The captain shouted in the comms before making his way to the Toyota Hilux to get there himself.
“There you go. You should be fine,” a soft voice told a child after tying a bandage around their arm.
The child smiled with a nod before running to his mother.
“We’ve got 2 more,” a male nurse said to the woman.
She wore a red ribbon around her right arm, signalling her alignment with the medical team sent to help the people affected by the explosions.
“Okay, I’ve got more beds in this tent!” She smiled, gesturing to the two cots, “You’ll be treated and safe here.”
They thanked her immensely before she left to deal with the rest of the problems.
“Yes, thank you. Please carry it over here,” She smiled, directing many people to place the medical supplies, food, and necessities for the casualties.
“Boss! More incoming!” Someone called out to her.
“Coming!” She shouted back, running over to help.
On Chris’ end, his team made it and found the remnants of the explosives.
“We defused the rest, they won’t be terrorizing the city,” Tundra said, standing with Umber Eyes.
Chris nodded, “Good. Any casualties?”
“None. Just a bunch of civies that were injured by the shockwave,” answered Canine, surveying the area, “I assume they exploded the devices while they headed here,” he said about the arrested suspects.
“Okay, check the area. Be careful of the BSAA; they might know about our whereabouts.” The leader of the squad ordered.
The group exchanged similar responses before separating again.
The captain was with Tundra and Umber Eyes as they looked around to see not much damage, just some shattered glass and a lot of things out of place.
“Kind of surprised there's a unit stationed out here,” Umber Eyes mumbled.
“I’m not sure it’s a unit, it’s probably some civilians helping each other,” Tundra said her theories. “They don’t bear any official markings.”
Chris took note of the many people wearing a blue bandanna around their left arm, “Keep up your guard, anything could happen. And try to find the leader.”
After walking around, Tundra walked up to a worker and asked who the leader was. The woman smiled, “Oh! You’re talking about our boss! She’s at the big tent over there, she wears a red bandanna. She’s a complete sweetheart.”
“Okay, well that was easy,” Umber Eyes shrugged.
They quickly found the largest tent to be in the middle of the perimeter that the civilians created for on-site medical tents.
“Could she be it?” Umber Eyes questioned.
“Maybe,” Tundra replied.
When Chris laid his eyes on the person, he immediately recognized who it was.
It was you.
You were treating a patient before asking for one of the volunteers to help them inside a tent.
Before thinking, he walked, his long strides eating up the distance between you two.
“Captain?” Tundra called out to him, “Sir?” Umber Eyes, too, but he ignored them. All his mind had was you.
Thankfully, you noticed the large man standing a few feet from you. Well, how couldn’t you, considering Chris’s size?
“There you are,” you smiled at him, standing up to greet him, “I suppose the threat is over?”
A wave of relief and calmness washed over him when he saw your smile, “Yeah. It is.”
He placed his large hand on her arm, it trailed down to hold her hand, “Are you alright?” He asked, his gruff voice holding a tone of softness, only for her.
You nodded, “I’m fine. I’m just helping out. Got word and signed my team to be dispatched here. We’re not doing much, but we want to help.”
“I didn’t think you’d accept it since it's on the other side of the state. But it’s you we’re talking about, I know you’d drop everything to help others,” Chris noted, holding a note of pride about how noble you were.
A small smile appeared on your lips, “Hey. I didn’t get a degree for nothing.” You joked lightly before your eyes softened, “I’m alright. Promise.”
“Thank God,” he breathed out, “I’m glad you are.”
You let out a small chuckle, “What? Worried I was going to run towards danger?”
He scoffed slightly, although it turned into a small airy laugh, “Knowing you. Maybe.”
“You know me too well,” You teased, “A bit too well.”
“I’m your husband, of course I do,” Chris replied.
He lifted your hand in his, raising it delicately as if you were a flower, “But seriously. I’m glad you’re alright…I wouldn’t know what I’d do if you were hurt.” He pressed a gentle kiss to where your ring is.
“Maybe blow up your enemies and anyone who dared to lift a finger against me?” You joked.
He held a small smirk, “Yeah, that sounds like what I’d do.”
“How about you?” You asked, “You okay?”
“Tired, but fine, thanks for asking, sweetheart,” Chris replied.
You gave a small hum, eyes glancing at his form, “Have you been smoking?”
He sighed, knowing he got caught, “I know, I know. It’s bad for me…I’ll cut back a little this month.”
“I’d rather you cut back for the rest of your life. You’re not getting any younger, love,” You lectured him lightly.
Chris gave an incredulous look, “Are you calling me old?”
You softly laughed, “No, no. I meant that–”
“Really? ‘Cause I think you just called me old indirectly,” Chris cut you off while you tried to stifle your giggles.
“I mean, isn’t pushing 50 kind of old?” You asked innocently with a mischievous smile.
Chris raised an eyebrow at that, “Hey, you’re only 3 years younger than me.”
“And that’s a lot! Plus, it’s almost 4 years so,” You corrected.
The tall male just threw his head back a little while subtly rolling his eyes, “You’re unbelievable…”
“You seeing this?” Umber Eyes asked Tundra.
“Our captain smiling and speaking without a care in the world to a woman who he kissed her hand? Yeah, I see it,” she replied sarcastically, “He never told us…”
“Probably because he wanted to keep it secret,” He suspected.
The two approached the couple, “Sir, the others are coming in our direction.” Tundra informed, not wanting to impose too much.
Chris’s face turned serious in a split second, “Got it. Inform of the updated status of the explosives.”
You looked between the two figures and your husband before realizing who they were, “Ah. You must be part of Chris’s team.”
Umber Eyes nodded, “Yeah, we are. Sorry if we’re imposing.”
“No, no, it’s fine. Really. You were doing your job, the people here are used to this a little,” you waved your hands around to dismiss it.
“You must be the leader of this group, right? Thanks for helping out,” Tundra gestured to the nurses and volunteers.
You smiled, “Mhm! We just wanted to provide comfort to those around us.”
The rest of the team arrived with the help of Umber Eyes. Making you realize just how tall these people are.
Noticing Chris’s silence, you glanced at him and realized he was staring at you. Your cheeks felt warm at his staring, and you lightly tapped his forearm, gesturing to his team.
“It’s improper not to introduce others, Captain,” you whispered.
Chris blinked once and realized his stupor and soon cleared his throat, “Right. Sorry.”
“Team…This is my wife,” he introduced you, saying your name and his surname.
You waved at them, “Hello! Nice to meet you. Thank you for all your hard work,” you said softly.
“It’s nothing, really,” Umber Eyes shrugged as Canine looked his way but said nothing.
Night Howl spoke after, “So…You’ve been married to the Captain for how long?”
“8 years,” you answered proudly, “almost 9. It will be our anniversary soon.”
“And he’s kept you a secret this whole time?” Umber Eyes questioned as Canine sent him a look for him to stop talking.
Chris let out a short breath, knowing his team was going to be curious, you chuckled and answered, “Yes. Even before our marriage. I’ve been with Chris for 15 years.”
Umber Eyes was going to say more before his boss gave him a sharp look, which made him immediately step down. “Told you so…” Canine shook his head, muttering a little at his teammate’s ignorance.
You, on the other hand, gently hit your husband’s forearm, “Oh, please. They were merely asking. It’s not like they wanted my social security number.” You chastised softly.
“Right, right. Sorry. Won’t happen again,” Chris apologized sheepishly with a lighter tone than usual.
Umber Eyes secretly gestured to the others in slight surprise, shocked by how someone that only reaches about the captain’s mid bicep can easily scold him with mere words.
“Honnestly, it’s no surprise he’d want to keep you secret,” Tundra noted.
You gave a small shrug with a sigh, “The cons of being married to a soldier. Specifically a Captain.”
“It’s to ensure your safety and my sanity. To which it’s at its wits end sooner than expected,” Chris answered truthfully.
You covered a part of your mouth to whisper something, “He’s just really protective... But he’s a teddy bear…”
The said “teddy bear” glanced your way as you quickly pretended to look somewhere else, humming a soft tune to avoid his gaze.
“Teddy bear…” Umber Eyes pursed his lips tightly under his mask, trying to stifle a laugh.
“Moving on.” Chris’ sharp tone brought the team back on alert.
“We still have a job to do. We need to secure and pack up the explosives before the BSAA gets their hands on it,” The Team leader told his team.
The soldiers nodded and went their separate ways to collect all the defused explosives to put them somewhere safe.
“So? I guess this is where we part ways, hm?” You asked, staring up at your spouse.
Chris’ eyes softened when holding your gaze, “I wish I didn’t need to. But, I don’t want you or anyone else hurt. I couldn’t live with myself knowing I deliberately brought harm to you.”
You nodded gently, “I understand,” reaching for his face as he instinctively lowered his head so you could touch his face.
“Be safe.” You advised, “And don’t–”, “–Don’t show up with scratches on my face or else you’ll kick my ass. I know the drill, sweetheart,” he interrupted gently.
You smiled, “Good. Means I don’t need to repeat myself.” You lightly punched his shoulder, “Give ‘em hell, Big guy.”
A small smirk appeared on his lips, “Yes, ma’am.” He replied before walking away to join his team.
Despite being in different worlds, you were always the center of his world. Sounds cliché. But you were truly the light of HIS world.
Synopsis: Your husband was doing his usual tasks or hobbies, everything was good til he suddenly realize that his ring went missing. Thinking that you’ll get angry at him, he choose to hide his dilemma and try to find it on his own.
John Price
It was a normal day, just Price sighing and reading papers for hours on end in his office.
He sighed, signing another piece of paper. You were in the living room, cleaning up for the day, your humming could be heard down the hallway.
Price went to the kitchen for a cup of tea, refuelling before he returned to work.
"Taking a break?" You asked, closing the closet to where the cleaning products are.
He nodded, going to press a kiss to your ring, "Almost done. Just a small pile and I’ll be free."
"Up until you have to do it all over again tomorrow," you laughed as he groaned, rubbing his face.
"The downside of being a captain…" he huffed, "Wish I could retire…"
"You can, though," you hummed, patting his shoulder before going upstairs to your shared room.
After finishing his mug, Price went back to work, but he felt something off.
No, he didn’t forget the laundry. He does it on Saturdays and Sundays with Wednesdays if there was too much in the basket.
It wasn’t the dishes…they turn on the dishwasher before going to sleep.
He took out the trash and made sure the yard was cleaned.
So why was he feeling so…
…lost and empty…?
He checked his hands and noticed something missing.
"Bloody hell…" he cursed, "Where the fuck…Did I…put it…?" He immediately went searching for his ring.
His ring!
The one he wields proudly on his left hand. The symbol of love and commitment to you.
How could he lose such a thing?!
Price checked the porch at the yard, nothing.
The kitchen, nothing.
The living room, nothing. Plus he hadn’t been there all day. His office, nothing, just paper and more paper.
He searched high and low and still couldn’t find it.
"Shit…" he muttered, hoping you weren’t aware of his dilemma, since he’d hate to tell you he lost the most important item to him in this world.
"John?"
The said man whipped his head your way, and the first he did was walk up to you and hold your hand gently in his own, "Lovie…I’m so sorry…Please forgive me…! I don’t know where it is and I’m sorry for not being able to take better of it…"
You blinked in surprise, "W-What…?"
"Dont be angry, Poppet…" he sighed, "I didn’t meant for this to happen…"
"What do you mean…? You did nothing wrong," you said, still a little puzzled.
Price pursed his lips and soon spoke, "I lost it…"
"What?"
"I lost it."
"Lost what?"
"The ring…"
“The what…?!"
"My ring."
It was silent before you let out a small laugh and soon showed the said jewellery, "You left it on the table outside when tending to the porch this mornin', remember?"
He sighed in relief, soon placing it back on before kissing you, "Thank goodness…that was giving me grey hairs…"
"But you already have some—"
"Don’t push your luck, missy. We’re the same age."
Simon "Ghost" Riley
This happened when you both were trying to go out after not seeing each other for months. (Thanks to his deployment.)
It was simple, go get some food spend some time outside and then go back home and cuddle.
Simple, right?
Not really.
While getting ready, Simon realized that he lost his ring while changing into his usual dark clothing he wears on a daily basis.
And him being the loyal spouse, he refused to go out in the world without his ring.
Not when the ring he swore he’d keep safe til his death was now gone.
But he didn’t want to worry you of his problems, of course.
Instead of trying to tell you.
He became silent.
Reeeaaally quiet…
"Si! I’m ready!"
"Fuck…"
You appeared from the bedroom, wearing something modest but formal for the occasion.
"Is something wrong, dear…?" You asked, noticing how quiet he is. He’s always been quiet. But never this quiet…
He simply stood there, not moving an inch before turning to face you.
"Love, I can’t go." He told you.
"What?"
"I can’t go…"
"Huh…? Why?"
"Because…" he started before clearing his throat, not finishing his sentence.
You stood there, holding your hip, waiting for his reasoning.
"I lost my ring," he revealed, "I can’t go out there without my ring."
The tall man waited for you to scold him but you ended up just holding back laughing at the situation.
"Haha! Sweetheart…Check your drawer," you suggested after laughing.
He did as you instructed and found his ring.
Ah. Right.
He took it off to help you build the new patio furniture you bought the other day.
"Bloody hell…" he let out a sigh of relief, quickly slipping the band back on and let out a sigh of relief.
You stood there, holding your hips, "So? We still staying in?"
"Wut? Nonsense. Not after you spent all tha' 'ime to get ready," he shook his head, gently taking your hand to carry you outside towards the car.
Kyle "Gaz" Garrick
For Kyle, his wedding ring was sacred. And when he meant sacred we’re talking about state of the art museum exhibition sacred.
No one was allowed to go near or touch his ring. Everyone who knew him knew that.
So how doesn’t he have this so called sacred ring around his finger when he went out that day…?
"I’ll be back soon!" He called out to you, "Okay! Come back in one piece."
Kyle smiled at that, "Copy that."
The sergeant usually goes out for morning and evening runs to keep himself in shape. But it also brings his mind a peace of mind whenever he feels conflicted or stressed.
He reached the park where he usually takes a breather before he went to continue his run.
Although…this time…it would be a little different.
"Hey, I see you run by a lot around this time of day? New routine?" A woman, close to his age but a little younger smiled towards him, stepping forward.
Kyle stared at her with a blank stare, "Pardon…? Oh, uh yea. I run in the morning too."
"Cool!" The woman smiled, taking another step closer as Kyle backed up.
"You won’t mind if I tag along unexpectedly one day, right?" She suggested, invading his space.
"S'rry, but I’m not available," he replied curtly, showing his left hand.
He tried indicating her that he was married but the woman looked at him in confusion, "What…are you showing me…?" She asked uncertainly, looking in between his hand and his face.
Kyle realized the horror that he wasn’t even wearing his wedding ring.
"Bloody hell…" he cursed under his breath and soon ran back to his home without even finishing the conversation with the said woman.
~~~
Hearing the door open, you peeked your head from the kitchen, making some food, "Oh…? You’re back early."
"Love, I think I’m cursed," Kyle said, looking around the flat in urgency.
You blinked in confusion, "Say what now…?"
"The ONE time I go out 'ere without it I get hit on like it’s a fuckin' flash mob," he grumbled, going into your shared room.
"I am very confused about what is going on…mind explaining?" You questioned your partner who froze.
Kyle immediately held a forced smile, "Nothing. Just forgot my phone. All is well."
"Right…" you hummed, "Then what about you saying that you’re cursed, hm?"
"Figure of speech, you know how I get," he answered quickly, hiding his left hand from you.
He tried to leave without being suspicious, but it proved to be hard, especially around you.
"Hold it, right there, Kyle Garrick."
The dark-skinned male flinched at hearing his full name, he stopped moving, thinking if he moved forward, he’d blow up like it was a mine.
"Come here," you instructed.
He let out a small sigh, accepting his fate, "Yes, love?"
"You forgot somethin'," This made him even more nervous.
Instead of outrightly saying it, Kyle went to damage control, "It’s not what you think. I know where it is and I am currently tryin' to find it so you won’t get too angry at me."
You creased your eyebrows in confusion, "What…?"
"I was talking…about my ring…"
Your husband stood there, holding a look of guilt and shame for losing such a precious item.
It was a reminder of his binding to you and it hurt him greatly that he carelessly lost it.
"Haha…!" You started laughing, cupping your mouth while stifling the fits of laughter leaving your mouth.
Now it was Kyle’s turn to be confused, "What’s so funny…? I thought you were angry at me."
You came down from your fits of laughter, "Angry?! Heavens no, hun'. But…did you forget already?"
He gave you a look, still not getting it, "I don’t."
"You dropped off your ring to be customized, remember? You wanted to add our anniversary date on the inside."
…
Oh!
He ran a hand down his face, "For fuck’s sake…!"
This made you hurl down in laughter at his reaction, "Oh my gosh! Your face!"
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up while you still can," he huffed, clearly embarrassed.
A small yelp left your lips as your husband lifted you off the ground while laughing with you, "You’re not being fair, love…!"
John "Soap" MacTavish
When it comes to Johnny, oh boy. He would NOT shut up about his ring. Price knows the story of how it was picked, and the story behind how Soap proposed.
This actually happened during one of the conferences he had to attend with the rest of the team after an operation to just get over the details and the paperwork.
"Hey, Soap?" Price started, "I am begging you…shut your arse up…"
That pretty much sums up how annoying the sergeant can be when he spoke about his ring.
So, when he lost the said ring right before work ended. Let’s just say he kind of panicked…Like a lot…
"Ghost!" Johnny ran over to his lieutenant who was busy packing his things, "Please tell me you know where it is!"
The masked man stayed silent, trying to process the words, "Wut? Know where what is?"
"My ring!"
Gaz could be heard holding back a chuckle, "Oh, how have the mighty have fallen…"
"Oh, shut up!" Johnny spat back in retort.
"If I go back home without it, Bonnie will murder me…! No, she’ll wait til I’m asleep and then murder me!" The Scot was about spiral out of control.
“Well, good thing we all know she can get away with murder," Ghost shrugged.
The sergeant looked at him in horror, "You and your jokes aren’t funny!"
"They are," Gaz chimed in, "SHUT UP, GAZ!"
Price went over to calm Johnny down, "Now, now, I’m positive she won’t kill you. Do you know the last time you had it?"
"Of course! I had it when I was home, but before getting here, I took it off to clean the truck—oh fuck me…Hell’s fucking bells…" Johnny was seen getting his stuff before booking it outdoors.
Gaz was heard cackling now as Ghost crossed his arms, "If he doesn’t come back the next week, can I choose our new sniper and demolitions expert?" The lieutenant asked.
Price just shook his head, "I need a smoke…"
~~~
When getting back home, you were seen waiting for your husband and smiled when he came back.
"Hi!" Right before you could say more, he cut you off by taking your hand that held your wedding ring and got down on one knee.
"Mo ghaol(My love)…Please forgive me for the wrong doings I’ve done," he pleaded to you.
You stood there, looking into his eyes in slight confusion, "Johnny…? What’s—I…You didn’t do anything wrong, though."
"But I did, mo chridhe(my heart)…" he professed, kissing the back of your hand.
You were still confused but wanted to listen to him, "Okay…? What did you do wrong, hun’?"
"I…I lost my ring…"
Your eyes went wide slightly before a soft smile came on your lips, "Ah, no wonder. You usually do this when you really messed up."
Johnny’s eyes softened when seeing your face, "You’re not mad at me…?"
You laughed slightly, "Not with something like this. Plus, you left it on your nightstand before you left for work. I tried calling you, but your phone was off apparently."
Johnny let out a sigh in relief, he stood up and hugged you tightly, "You don’t know how much I love you, Bonnie."
"I love you too," you replied, "Now go get your ring back on before I hear you lose it again."
Hey guys! I got some more ideas with my COD series!(LET ME COOK!!)
Note: The trend is texting your spouse/fiancé(e)/partner that you can’t pay the mortgage off this month. And you wait for their reaction!
I saw someone make a really good one with Task Force 141 and Keegan and I was laughing my butt off while reading them. So I got inspiration from them! (Props to you! 🤍)
Anyways, that’s all I have to say!
Warning: ⚠️ There are none!
Pairings: TF-141 x Fem!Reader as their spouse (except for Gaz, who is your fiancé.)
Hey guys! I got some more ideas with my COD series! (I swear I say I write many other stories/characters but they’re not ready yet and making these posts are much easier…😅)
Note: This is the first part of my post about the Task Force 141 members reacting to their partner’s telling them they can’t pay the mortgage!
Warning: Just some swear words from both Price and Ghost’s parts… Watch out for Ghost as he does mention having a gun. (Which is NOT pointed at you of course.) ⚠️
Parings: TF-141 x Fem!Reader {As their spouse.) (In seperate parts.)
I’m back! Sorry for not posting! School is starting again and I haven’t had the time to write some stories.
Anyway, I had this amazing idea! It’s about seeing your family members who are soldiers back from deployment!
Note: I saw this one video about a child running to his father after he appeared at the airport gate and it was so cute!
Pairings: Fem!Reader x 141 (individually, alongside with your children.)
Synopsis: Task Force 141 has just finished a long deployment of 3 whole months. Eager to see their families or loved ones, they decided to head home early in the morning. What they didn’t know was that their families were too eager to wait at home!
Warning: There is none! Just watch out for the cutest moments ever!!
Genre: Fluff, SFW.
John Price
John was tired. Exhausted even. Actually, exhausted was an understatement. He was on the brink of passing out.
3 months before wasn’t that much or a deal, but now that he has a son and a wife waiting at home. All he thinks about is his family and it pisses him off that he had his flight delayed over the wind picking up.
So when he could finally make it to his flight and ensure that the rest of his Task Force members were accounted for properly, he could finally sit down and take a breather.
It was a grueling 6-hour and 45-minute flight. Price did not know if he was going crazy but could swear that he took at least a 3-4 hour nap but saw that there were STILL 4 hours left to the flight.
"Bloody hell..."
To say the least, he was relieved to be back in London and on land. Getting through security and going to the luggage area to pick up his belongings felt like a blur.
He remembered walking through the gate to welcome the arrivals before hearing a familiar giggle.
"I'm coming, papa!"
John's eyes widened when seeing his son running towards him, he didn't expect this but he sure damn is happy it happened.
Without thinking, he knelt down to welcome his son into his arms, picked him up, and continued walking while reuniting with his son.
"Hey, kiddo. Missed you lots," John smiled kissing the boy's head who squealed in delight.
You smiled when seeing the moment happen, having it on film to go back on this memory in the future, "Surprise! We wanted to see you first thing in the morning."
"I would've told you to wait fo' me back at home. But I'm glad you came 'ere instead," John for once showed a genuine smile when speaking and hugging his wife.
Oh. How he missed his family.
Kyle "Gaz" Garrick
Gaz was eager to get back home as his wife had told him about being in labour during his deployment.
He was saddened he couldn't be there physically but sent letters and messages to show his support for his ever-so-strong wife for pulling through with a healthy baby and birth.
"Hells fuckin' bells, Gaz. You've been pacing 'round for 20 minutes straight," Soap commented, looking at his teammate moving around in the airport gate waiting area they're in.
The said sergeant sighed, groaning as he sat next to Price, "Sorry. Just a bit restless."
"A bit?" The captain huffed out a small laugh, "Looks more than that to me, eh?"
"He's just eager to meet his new addition to his family," Ghost spoke, scrolling through his burner phone.
And they were right, Gaz was eager to meet his baby girl as he couldn't be there for her birth. It made him nervous when thinking about his family.
Once they were called to board their flight, Gaz booked it towards the counter and was first to sit down.
Price blinked in amusement but didn't pry as he understood the emotions the young male was going through.
The flight lasted 5 hours, but it was like a whole day according to the tan-skinned male. (He was getting tired of aircraft after his series of falling out of them twice with Price during a mission.)
Once landing in London and saying goodbye to Soap as he was heading to Scotland, Glasgow to reunite with his family.
Gaz immediately went to talk things out with his in-laws about how to get to his wife and daughter.
But to his surprise, he didn’t know you gave birth a little in advance while he was in early deployment.
"Yeah. So sorry to bother you. Is it possible that one of my brothers could pick me up from the airport? It’s 7 in the morning, and I know it’s not ideal, but if you could at least ask one of them, that would be much appreciated."
While speaking on the phone with his mother-in-law. You were seen trying to wrangle your first born son while your newborn daughter was in a baby stroller as the rest of both you and Kyle’s family were all gathered to the greeting area of new arrivals.
"Hurry up, everyone!" Kyle’s mother whisper-yelled, seeing a glimpse of her son made her signal to everyone to get into their positions.
Price notified the sergeant on his phone earlier, "You okay, Gaz?"
"Yeah, Cap." He replied calmly, putting his phone back in his pocket. "Everything’s fine. Just trying to find my brother-in-law. Apparently Roy he was supposed to pick me up."
Price and Ghost have offered to drop him off but Kyle insisted on not disturbing them when they just returned from their deployment.
While walking to exit, a group of people suddenly yelled, "Welcome back!!" It was Kyle’s family and yours, greeting him back.
This made the sergeant stop in his tracks before a large grin appeared over his face as he walked over to his family and greeted them all.
"There’s someone else who wants to meet you!" His mother added after being able to hug her son.
"Papa!"
A young boy, no older than 3 years old ran towards his father making his heart flutter out of joy to see him.
"Oh, hey, bud," Kyle smiled, picking him up.
You walked over to your husband, "They were eager to see you."
Kyle was surprised to see their newborn daughter in your arms. He almost cried when seeing the fragile baby girl, "Oh, love, she’s beautiful."
The family hugged it out, "I’m home," he mumbled in his wife’s hair.
This was one of the best surprises he’s ever had in his lifetime.
John "Soap" MacTavish
(We all knew that Johnny would probably win when it comes to the biggest family reward. I mean, he’s a Scot, of course he’d have at least two or three older sisters waiting for him back home.)
The moment where he was allowed to head back to Glasgow was the time where he really was able to be just John MacTavish instead of Soap.
He’s just happy to be home and see his family. Especially his adorable triplets that his missus gave him in a healthy birth.
While getting his luggage, he felt someone wrap their around his shoulders, he instinctively tried to push the person off, military instincts kicking in.
But he knew that laugh…He knew who just tackled him.
"You troublemaker! I thought someone tried to tackle me," he laughed, hugging his older sister.
"Ha! You wish! Still haven’t beaten me yet, Johnny!" The ginger grinned, hugging her younger sibling tightly.
The two other sisters ran and lunged at John practically almost making everyone tumble to the ground.
But he couldn’t care less, he missed his family, his siblings. The people who supported him throughout his childhood and adulthood.
"Johnny!/JJ!” His other sisters, who are twins, also with ginger hair greeted him happily.
He laughed heartedly, for the first time in months he was able to laugh like he meant it. It felt nice to see his family again.
"Our golden baby brother is finally back," ever since his childhood, John could remember about his elder siblings shower him in gifts and love.
"Come on, you three. I’m not a baby anymore. I’m married and have kids," John dismissed their awes.
"Adult or not, you’re still our baby brother," his elder sister smiled before calling out to a group of people to join them.
"Papa!/Daddy!"
Huh…? He could have sworn he heard his children but couldn’t find them. He swerved his head to try and find the source of the sound.
And there they were, his adorable children running to greet him after being separated for so long.
John didn’t waste them to embrace them in a tight hug, “Aw! I missed you guys so much!"
Simon "Ghost" Riley
3 months…
3 months…!
3 months!
"Bloody hell…"
It wasn’t unusual for Ghost to be gone for long periods of time. But for some reason, he felt extremely tired and unable to think straight since his deployment ended.
All he could think about is you.
His wife.
His family.
His children.
The long flight towards Manchester was gruelling for him.
The checking in, signing the papers and getting his passport back while getting his luggage felt like an eternity for him.
He was about to call you that he’s heading out of the airport before seeing a banner at the exit.
It said: "Welcome home, Dad!"
To anyone, they would’ve thought it could any person, but Simon knew that that banner was meant for him.
"Daddy!" His eldest son smiled, running up to him, too eager to wait for him to walk towards them.
Without missing a beat, the tall man picked up his son, "I missed you!" The 8 year old grinned.
"Same ‘ere, kiddo."
You were seen holding your 4 year old daughter, "Welcome home, Si!"
The young girl squealed when seeing her father, "Papa!"
Ghost was no longer when he was with his family.
In their eyes, he was Simon Riley, your husband, the kids’ father and role model.
Simon picked up his daughter from your arms, happy to see his children after so long.
Both kids were seen in the big man’s arms, excited to have their father back after his long deployment.
"Did you wait long?" Simon asked, turning towards you.
You just waved him off, "Not at all. In fact, we got here half an hour before you got here."
"That’s good," He murmured before giving you a side hug, not wanting to squish the children still in his arms.
"Welcome home, Si," you said making him smile under the balaclava.
Heyo! It’s been a while! Sorry I haven’t been active in posting so much, I was so busy with other things in my life that I completely forgot about this account 😅.
This will be a few funny/heartwarming moments between you, their wife, and the Task Force members!
Note: this a male x female reader based storyline, so if you’re not interested nor comfortable, then please go find another post. Thank you!
Warning: ⛔️ Just watch out for some silly stuff, nothing serious! Well…maybe just watch out for Price’s texts…
Hello! I’ve been wanting to do text posts for a bit! I was wondering if you could share how you make yours! Thank you 🖤🍒
Of course!! (I’ll be showing you a few pictures so you can properly understand!)
So I basically use my phone for text stories. It’s all free so no worries!
First off, you are going to have to download an app called "Chat Tales". (I have an iPhone so I don’t know if it’d available on Google Play Store…)
Second, you don’t need to use your money for a membership/premium,etc. It’ll only give you more access to how many chats you want and stuff.
Third, there is a LIMIT of at least 4 chats you can create. (Usually I take screenshots—from my phone or use the app to take screenshots to save time.)
There are different fonts! You even have the option to chat like you do on Snapchat.
(I usually add the cover of the person that you’re texting so everyone can know who is who.)
Fourth, it’ll be something like this! Well, it depends on your story. (BEWARE of the watermark at the start if you take screenshots with the app! The white arrow in a blue circle)
The " + " Is where you add characters in the chat! I usually hide the person speaking (blue bubble) with the character so the person can think it’s them actually texting them. (There are PLENTY options.)
Lastly, the blue and white arrow is where you basically "export" your story. (I HIGHLY recommend to either screenshot with the app or do it with your phone. The videos aren’t that good…)
You can change any style of the chat, wallpaper, the profiles and more! (Like erase all chats so you can create a new one without having to go through all that trouble of doing the characters, etc!)
The “ is the give quotes in between the messages! Like by example — "Today 3:55 PM"
And that’s basically it! Thank you for asking me about this! I was going to do a tutorial but I completely forgot! I hope this has helped you with your journey of writing in text style!
Note: This is from my old account! (I will be reuploading them all to this account!)
WARNING! This is my first time writing about military action, and war with battlegrounds/warfare. So bear with me...
_________________________________________
You are Alejandro Vargas' younger sister by 4 years, and by what Las Almas sees, you're like his little princess he doesn't want to see sad nor hurt. Hell, even his men are scared of your brother. Once, a new recruit for the Los Vaqueros thought you were a good choice to flirt with...Let's just say he was bedridden for about 4 days...
You met Rudy at the same time you joined the Los Vaqueros so you both clicked and just sailed away happily. Alejandro was relieved of you being quite attached to someone like Rudy as he is the only man he completely trusts aside from you and even called him his brother in all but blood.
Your occupation is being a combat medic and head of the medical department of the Los Vaqueros.
"Hermana. (Sister.) Rudy and I with some of our men are meeting up with Sergeant Mactavish and their Lieutenant of TF 141 to help for the El Si Nombre and Hassan problema." Your brother arrived in your office as you just finished taking care of 10 patients and their paperwork.
"¿Ah, de verdad? (Oh, really?) Interesante(interesting), Alejandro. But you do know the problem in Las Almas is bigger for only four soldiers, hm?" You reclined in your chair.
The leader of the Los Vaqueros only smirked, "You underestimate my allies, flor(flower). Rudy will be driving if you want to come along." Your brother left before you could even get a say in making you huff.
~~~
Rudy was already in the black van ready to go as he saw his superior and his sister.
Seeing you just made Rudy's day or even week, "No me digas. (Don't tell me.) ¿Te animó a unirte?" (He egged you on to join?)
"Mhm. Used you to bribe me. Puta. (Bitch)" you mumbled making both males chuckle.
"Ah, Rudy? ¿Estás bien para moverte? (Are you okay to move?) You took quite a beating when chasing Hassan a few days earlier. Estoy preocupada. (I'm worried.)" You gave the second in command a soft look making him smile delicately towards you.
"I'm fine, Angel. (That's your codename btw!) I've been through worse."
"Ahora, ahora tortolitos. Tendrás tiempo para coquetear más tarde." (Now, now lovebirds. You'll have time to flirt later.)
Both you and Rudy only slightly eye rolled at Alejandro's teasing and started to head to the meet up spot for the new allies.
When arriving, you were cut short with some problems since some new recruits caught themselves in strife, "Doc, dos cadetes se lesionaron durante una sesión De entrenamiento." (two cadets were injured during a training session.) Spoke up a Los Vaqueros when you arrived to the base making you sigh sharply, "Oh Dios mío...(Oh my god...) Looks like I'm held back again."
Alejandro and Rudy nodded, "We'll meet the Sergeant and Lieutenant for you, hermana. (sister)
Before leaving, you and Rudy did a secret handshake (It was basically you both giving each other a high-five from side to side then you guys doing a cross over your chests before doing a fist bump.)
"See you soon!" You bid goodbye to Rodolfo as you gave a nod to Alejandro.
"Nos vemos Ángel. (See you Angel.)" Smiled Rudy before getting a pat on the shoulder by his colonel as they left.
~~~
To cut it short, the Vaqueros(as) with the addition of Srg Mactavish and Lt Ghost haven't found El Sin Nombre making you get ticked off but radio to your brother that you will find him yourself if you have to.
"(Y/N) is it?"
You heard your radio working making you pause but answer, "Yes. Who is this?"
"Kate Laswell at your service ma'am. I heard you're the 3rd in command of the Vaqueros with Alejandro. I'm here to help you find El Sin Nombre. I'm with TF 141 consisting of Sergeant-" You cut her off,
"Mactavish and Lieutenant Ghost. I have heard quite a lot beforehand." You heard a hum for an answer.
"I have now understood that. I just sent you some information I have gathered from the boys on their recent search of El Sin Nombre. If you can, I'd love to see if you can find this person with my help."
You smirked, "Of course. Let's get to work Laswell."
After doing some digging with Kate, you both found out the Cartel had a house for a base in the far part of Las Almas.
"Thanks for the help Vargas."
"No problem Kate. I'll tell the boys and we'll be off with your orders." You said to her as you got the papers you used for information while talking with your radio.
"See you soon." That was the last message you've heard of her before the mission.
While getting out all the Vaqueros bowed to you in respect as you walked towards the part of the base where your brother is. (It was made mandatory they had to since Alejandro wants everyone to respect you like they respect him.)
Of course they were outside so they could be quickly briefed for the mission.
"Didn't know the Mexican Special Forces had a beautiful lady like you walking around." Said an unfamiliar person as you turned to see a soldier with short blonde locs and a smirk on his face.
'He's American...Must be with the Sergeant and Lieutenant.' You thought.
"There are many things you don't know about Las Almas." You replied ignoring the whole him hitting on you bit.
"Well then, let me at least get to know you better." Urged the man as he walked closer to you.
"¡Esa es mi hermana idiota!" (That's my sister dipshit!)
You both turned to see Alejandro speed power walking to get to you and the soldier.
"Detente ahora, Vargas. No lo sabía, eso es todo." (Basta ahora, Vargas. Él no lo sabía, eso es todo.) You held a hand to the colonel's chest to stop him from hurting the oblivious guy.
"What now?" As you said before, the blonde male was confused as hell since you both spoke Spanish and not English.
"Please excuse the Colonel. He gets...protective of me. Ale. Move." You apologized on behalf of your brother before ordering him to get a move on so you can be introduced to the rest of the men, the said Colonel moved on your order.
"Whoa! I didn't know there was someone who can order Alejandro around like that." Said a surprisingly Scottish voice near Rodolfo and Lieutenant Ghost.
"She's the only one who can." Added Rudy as he smiled when you approached them.
"Men, meet the head of the medical department in the Mexican Special Forces. (Y/N). Codename: Angel." Introduced Alejandro as you smiled and nodded to the men.
"It is nice to meet you all. I was supposed to meet you beforehand when you landed but some idiotas(idiots) decided to hurt themselves while training." You joked as you shook the Scottish male's hand.
"Sergeant John Mactavish. Nice to meet you. Call me Soap." Smiled the man, as you nodded.
"Ghost." Simply replied the Lieutenant making you nod.
"Philip Graves. Head of the Shadow Company. At your service ma'am." The man that talked to you before smiled at you. Alejandro gives a short glare, making you do the same to him, making him stop.
"Alejandro." You warned.
"Sí, sí flor. (Yes, yes flower.) Got information for us?" Asked the Colonel as you nodded.
"Yes. I have acquainted myself with Laswell and talked about your next move. Y deja de burlarte del coronel, sé profesional.” (And stop teasing Colonel, be professional.) You nodded.
"By all means, please do tell." Urged Graves.
"There's a small selected house in the outskirts of Las Almas. We figured they(Cartel) could be there. And I think possibly, El Sin Nombre." You told the males as you showed them a picture of the house and the address.
"So we just go there and tackle the guy or whoever El Sin Nombre is?" Summed up Soap as you nodded.
"Bingo. All the vehicles and weapons are at your disposal. The only thing we need for this mission is you and El Sin Nombre back. And as head of the medical department, I want you all to be unharmed during this mission if you can." You finished.
"We'll do our best. Let's move! Volveré.” (I'll be back.) Alejandro kissed the side of your head as you smiled, "Vuelve pronto.” (Be back soon.)
"Rudy. Permanezca en (S/N) y en espera.” (Stay with (Y/N) and standby.) Alejandro ordered his second in command.
Rudy gave his leader a nod, " Si Colonel." (Sí, coronel.)
You scoffed, "I don't need protection."
As soon as the men left Rudy started to silently cackle, "Say that again when you were cornered by three big men ready to tackle you down if Alejandro wasn't there to save you."
"Rudy! ¡Cállate! (Shush!)" You hit the man on his back as he only laughed more.
"Eres tan lindo cuando estás loco, Ángel.” (You are so cute when you’re mad, Angel.) The man before you held your hand as you had to register what he had said, making you turn away.
"Estúpido... decir cosas así sin darme una advertencia adecuada…" (Stupid...saying stuff like that without giving me a proper warning...)
"I'm glad to be called stupid by you. Come on, why don't we hang out for a bit, hm? That is...if you'd like to spend time with all your papers instead of me." Suggested Rodoflo making you laugh at how dramatic he is.
"Don't worry, Para. I'm all yours for the rest of the day."
You didn't know that the man was flustered by your statement before he started jogging to catch up to you.
~~~
"WHERE IS HE?" You yelled as some masked men decided it was a good idea to invade your base.
"Angel! We gotta go! They're here to arrest us!" Rudy grabbed your hand and led you to a secret pathway out of the base before you'd be detained/arrested by the mysterious masked men.
"Rudy! ¿¡Qué está pasando!? ¿Quiénes eran esos tipos y dónde está mi hermano?!” (What's going on!? Who were those guys and where is my brother?!) The moment you enter a small black SUV is when you bomb the second in command with questions.
"Graves se volvió y acogió a Alejandro. Lo recuperaremos.” (Graves turned and took Alejandro in. We're getting him back.) Responded Rudy as he drove to the safe house.
"That pendejo(dumbass)! I'll sever him up when I find his body if he did something to my brother! Let's go and break him out." You said as you got a few guns and put on some tactical gear.
But before you can continue on suiting up Rudy held your shoulders, "I can't let you go, Angel. Not when Alejandro told me to keep you safe."
"Rudy. I joined at the same time with you and Ale. I've been a soldier before being a doctor. I know how to use a gun." You reminded me.
"Sé que no eres débil, amor. Pero no puedo soportar que te lastimen ahí fuera. Déjame traerlo de vuelta.” (I know you're not weak, love. But I can't bear you to get hurt out there. Let me bring him back.)
You knew Rudy wasn't going to let you go but you still want to protest, "But Rudy...Alejandro is–"
You were cut off by some soft warm lips on your own for a few moments before they were pulled away.
"Por favor(Please), Angel." He looked in your eyes with a pleading look making you sigh and nod.
"One injury and I'm going to find that American myself if he hurts you." You warned making him smile.
"I'll keep that in mind. See you." He nodded as you both did your handshake.
"See you, Rudes."
~~~
While Rodolfo went to check the perimeter you went to the small medical area of the safe house before you heard a noise outside. You radioed to your ally immediately.
"Rudy? Alguien está afuera." (Someone 's outside.)
"Quédate quieto. Estoy atrás dirigiéndome al área principal de la casa. Quédate en las sombras." (Stay put. I'm in the back heading to the main area of the house. Stay in the shadows.)
"Rog."
It was quiet for a few moments making you grab a pistol and a few throwing knives before using the shadows as an advantage.
You stopped dead in your tracks when you heard someone get in from the window making you hide behind a large wooden pole.
A red laser appeared on the man's shoulder, "Don't move." A deep voice was heard throughout the house before a knife was heard hitting the wooden pole.
"¿Quién es?" (Who is it?)
You didn't wait for Rudy to get a reply as you threw a warning knife back at the men as it hit the window near them, "Cac naomh...!" (Holy shit...!) Lowly exclaimed a Scottish voice making you remember on the men you've met before at the base.
"Rodolfo!"
"Soap! Ghost!"
Rudy got out of his hiding spot as you stayed put in the shadows.
"Nice throw." Rodolfo gave back the knife to the Lieutenant.
"What about the other one? Who threw it?" Asked the masked soldier.
"Ángel. Está bien. Si estás cerca, puedes salir ahora." (Angel. It 's okay. If you're near, you can come out now.)
"Podrías haberme dicho que tendríamos invitados, Rudy." (You could've told me we'd have guests, Rudy.) You appeared from the shadows making the Scottish soldier curse under his breath.
"That was you wasn't it?" Asked the masked soldier as you nodded.
"Forgive me about that. I didn't know it was you." You apologized before thanking Soap for giving your knife back.
"That was a good one. Almost had me there." Praised the Scottish man as you smiled, "Ale always wanted me to be prepared for every situation. I was a soldier before being a doctor."
"Speaking of that. You two were on the run?" Asked Rudy.
"Yeah."
"But I was on the run. Ghost waited for me." Clarified Soap.
"Of course no?" You asked.
"No–"
"Yes. This happened on my watch. And I need help to fix it. We're a team. No one fights alone." Cut off Ghost as Soap nodded.
"Why did Graves turn?" Rudy asked the bombing question.
"We don't know. But no can be trusted out there. Price, Shepherd, Laswell, and all others are considered hostiles." Answered Ghost.
"Except for–" you cut off the Scottish soldier, "Alejandro. He was taken, no?"
"Yes. And we're getting him back." Responded Ghost.
Rudy then led the group to a table and explained where your brother was being held.
They quickly got into gear to get the Colonel back.
"I'll stand by and head towards our other base. It isn't completely safe here." You told the men making them agree.
"Be safe, Doc." Nodded Soap as you gave a nod as well.
"Nice throw back there." The Lieutenant praised you, making you smile, "You as well."
Rudy held your head before giving you a silent message with his eyes, "Volveré contigo." (I will come back to you.)
"You better, Tonto.” (Dumbass) You whispered back before doing your handshake.
(While heading to the prison.)
Soap was a bit curious about the relationship you and Rudy had, "Rodolfo. What kind of relationship are you in with the doc?"
"Àngel's been with me and Alejandro since we've joined. 20 years to be exact. Toughest woman I've met in my life. Same goes to Alejandro. We swore to protect her as she's saved our lives so many times. That's why the Colonel always tells me to keep close to her, to keep her safe." Answered the second in command.
"Hm. Seems like you've done a good job."
"Thanks."
"Feels like you two are closer than friends." Jumped in Ghost.
"We are. It's a bit classified." Responded Rudy.
"Classified, eh? Don't think Alejandro would like that." Joked Soap.
"Hm. He didn't at the beginning." Lowly chuckled the Mexican before he changed the subject and went to their task.
(After getting Alejandro out.)
"What about my sister Rudy? Is she..." started the Colonel as he was handed a rifle.
"She's fine, Colonel. She went to a more secure base. That's where we're going too." Nodded Rudy.
"Good. Let's get my men out." Stated Alejandro.
"Wait a second...You have a sister Alejandro?!" Said a bit too loudly Soap as they continued to move forward in the prison.
"Be more quiet Soap. We're in bloody enemy territory." Scolded Ghost.
"Sí (Yes). I kept it a secret to protect her. She wanted to join me and Rudy to look after us. I trust you and Ghost so I'm telling you this now."
"Thank you for trusting us. Won't tell a soul." Thanked John.
"Of course."
~~~
You were ordering around some Vaqueros to prepare for the fight that Alejandro would like to have ASAP since Graves turned.
"¡Escucha ahora! (Listen now!)" Whistled the Colonel to his men as you ran up to him.
"¡Gracias a Dios...! (Thank goodness...!) Are you okay?" You asked as you examined your brother's face as he only smiled.
"I'm fine hermana. (Sister.) Glad you're safe too." Alejandro kissed your forehead making you smile before you two held each other's hands as a greeting.
"No way I'm leaving you and Rudy alone." You joked as you saw Rudy making you hug him.
"Estoy de vuelta como le prometí a mi amor." (I'm back as promised my love.)
"Me alegro de que hayas vuelto." (Glad you're back.)
"I'm confused here right now." Said Soap as you smiled at him and Ghost.
"Captain, Sergeant Garrick. This is my sister, (Y/N) Vargas. The head of the medical department of Los Vaqueros." Introduced your brother as you nodded to the new sergeant and the captain who was beside him.
"Delighted to meet you Miss Vargas. Captain Price of TF 141." Captain Price nodded towards you and even took off his hat in much more proper greeting.
The new sergeant beside him nodded as well, "Same here."
"Nice to meet you Captain, Sergeant." You greeted back.
"Wait! You're the sister!? This whole time?!" Yelled Soap making you grin.
"You just caught on to that Johnny?" Asked the masked soldier.
"I thought it was obvious by how affectionate he is. But yes, he is my blood brother." You responded.
"So then, what's your relationship with Rodolfo?" Asked Soap.
"Ella es mi ángel. (She's my angel.) My wife of 6 years." Answered the second in command as he held your left hand.
"What?! I only thought you two were close friends!" To TOTALLY clarify, Soap did NOT see that coming. He honestly thought you were dating Alejandro by how close you two are. And thought you were the sister of Rudy. While trying to figure out who could be the Colonel’s sister.
"We get that a lot. Some actually thought I was my own brother's wife a few times before Rudy made it public to the person who asked. Al menos podrías haber aclarado lo de la hermana, idiota. (You could've at least clarified the sister thing idiot.)" You laughed a bit as you explained the misinformation before scolding your husband.
"Alejandro told me to keep it secret, querida." (darling)
"Oi! Lovebirds! Let's move. We got an American to finish." Said your brother as you gave him a small playful glare before following him and the team to the table.
Captain Price was the one to talk about the plan as they all grabbed skeleton masks naming themselves to be the "Ghost Team."
You almost did a double take when Ghost took off his own mask to the team as Price welcomed him back, "Good to see you, Simon."
Since you and Rudy were near Gaz and Soap you whispered to the Scottish soldier, "Better engrave that in your head before you forget Sergeant."
He huffed meaning he found it funny making you do a small grin before the men went to all put masks on.
"Okay, the first team is Alejandro, Sergeant Garrick with some Vaqueros to secure Valeria and possibly our base again. Alejandro will be leading since he knows the base well. The next team consists of Rudy, Ghost, Soap with Vaqueros. Ghost will be leading the team. The third team will be Price in a helicopter to assist in the air with a pilot. Laswell had already got the coordinates to where you will be dropped off at the base. Any objections?" You explained as you showed your tablet and the teams.
None of the men said anything making you learn they understood and have no complaints.
"Nice one, Doc. Let's move." Praised the captain making you smile, "Delighted to be of help captain."
Soap and you did a small high five as you gave a nod to Ghost and Gaz.
"Be safe." You said as you hugged your brother.
"Always. You too!" He said as he joined Gaz and the Vaqueros on his team.
Rudy gave you a loving look, "Te amo.” (I love you.)
You smiled before putting his forehead on yours, "Yo también te amo a ti, mi marido. (I love you as well my husband.) Esté a salvo y regrese conmigo.” (Be safe and come back to me.)
"haría cualquier cosa que estuviera en mi poder para volver con mi esposa. Nos vemos pronto, Ángel." (I'd do anything in my power to come back to my wife. See you soon, angel.)
"You're so romantic. Go." You chuckled as he squeezed your hand before leaving, "You know it!" You heard him say, making you laugh.
~~~
It was a few hours and there were already so many Vaqueros that got injured while giving Graves some payback as you already had to operate on 12 men and women.
It was a rush but none had suffered any severe injuries, just some deep gashes, big cuts and strained limbs. With a few who got a hit on the side of some bullets but at least no surgery this time!
While you started on the paperwork one of your nurses appeared to tell you some news, "Doc. El Coronel y el segundo al mando están de regreso con sus equipos. Te están esperando afuera." (The Colonel and second in command are back with their teams. They're waiting for you outside.)
"Finalmente. (Finally.) Gracias. (Thank you.) Estás a cargo hasta que yo regrese.” (You're in charge till I get back.)
"Sí, Doc.” (Yes, Doc.)
You walked outside making the men turn to you as Alejandro was first to greet you, "Hope you weren't busy, flor (flower)."
"Not really. Except for the numerous patients I had to stabilize with a small needle and be covered in blood while patching up wounds. Graves is gone...?"
Soap nodded, "Blew him up to smitherins." You nodded as you did a fist bump to the Scottish man.
"Valeria will stay in our custody until further notice. My sister will interrogate her more if she hides more information from us." Alejandro spoke up.
"Valeria, huh? Seems like she was trying to keep the war and terrorism intact for her business with the Cartel. Not surprised at her being El Sin Nombre." You hummed as the said woman was seen getting into the black SUV.
"So the golden child appears at last. ¿Cómo estás? Espero que Alejandro no te haya ocultado mucho sobre nosotros.” (How are you? Hope Alejandro hasn't hid that much from you about us.) Smirked the ex female soldier towards you.
"I got this." You stopped your brother from roasting the bitch in front of you, "¡Será mejor que mires lo que dices, perra! Los usaré contra ti.” (You better watch what you say, bitch! I'll be using them against you.) You swore to her in Spanish before signaling the men to take her away already.
"Steamin' fuckin' Jesus...You're wife is something Rodolfo." Said Soap to your husband as the man smiled, "She is. Now you know why I married her."
"She's still my Angel Rudy. She's my sister. Well it looks like this is it, eh?" Retorted playfully to the Colonel before smiling towards Ghost and Soap.
"Guess it is. Keep fighting the good fight, hermano.” (Brother) Soap and Alejandro shook each other's hands while patting each other's shoulders.
"To the bitter end my brother."
"Good luck amigos.” (Friends) Rudy then shook Soap's hand right after.
"It was nice meeting you, (Y/N). Hope to see you soon." Smiled the sergeant to you as you both did a small fist bump, "Of course. Same here Soap. Esté seguro ahí fuera." (Be safe out there.)
"Si hermana." (Yes sister.) You smiled when he talked in Spanish with his accent as he then patted Ghost on the shoulder so they could head out in the chopper waiting for them.
"Keep your throws well." Simply said Ghost towards you as you nodded, "You too."
"Oi Ghost!" Your brother stopped the Lieutenant, "No te pierdas, hermano.” (Don't get lost, brother.)
"A huevo!"(Of course!) He yelled with a fist in the air before turning back to the chopper.
Alejandro chuckled at that as you saw them leave.
"You made them learn Spanish, didn't you?" You asked.
"Hey, the more the merrier, no?" Laughed your brother, "Vamos. (Come on.) We get the afternoon for ourselves if we get the puta (bitch) locked away in time."
"Rudy? I almost forgot. Glad you're back, mi corazón.” (My heart.) You kissed his lips briefly before patting his chest a few times.
"Hey. I told you I'd do anything in my power to come back to you. Come on, let's go before your brother teases us again." Chuckled your husband as he opened the door of the van for you.
"Too late! Move, you two! Or else I'll make you!" Yelled the Colonel making you and Rudy laugh as you both entered the van.
"Wanna go on a date later on? It's been a while." Asked Rudy.
"I'd love that." You smiled.
"Oi. What did I say about being cariñoso(lovey dovey/loving) while on duty?" Teased Alejandro.
"Nothing, Ale. This is the first time you've spoken of that ever since me and Rudy got married, pendejo. (Stupid/dumbass, etc)" You retorted as you all laughed and headed to the place where Valeria will be locked up.
(Bonus! Here's you taking care of Rudy after he met Hassan. Note: he was shot with adrenaline during the process of the bullet extraction.)
You shot Rudy with adrenaline so the process of extracting the bullet will be less painful.
"Eres tan bueno conmigo.” He murmured to you, eyes blown from the adrenaline. (You're so good to me.)
“Te amo mucho.” (I love you so much.) Your husband told you as you did your work on his injury. “Eres un verdadero Ángel que los dioses me han regalado. (You're a true Angel that the gods have gifted me.) Eres una doctora y una esposa increíbles." (You are an amazing doctor and wife.) Rudy babbled on and on. It lasted at least 5 five minutes.
You had to force yourself from not smiling from ear to ear at the compliments your husband has given you but also found it funny since it was due to the effects of the syringe mostly but he's still behind those words.
"Cállate ahora, amor. Déjame ayudarte. Ahorra el aliento." (Hush now, love. Let me help you. Save your breath.) You whispered to the man you're operating before giving a small face rub to assure him you're still there beside him.
But your hand that held his cheek was trapped by the arm that wasn't shot, You could see the love and adoration in his eyes.
"¿Cómo tuve tanta suerte?" (How did I get so lucky?)
That made your heart jump at how adorable he looked. (He'd kill you if you said it out loud.)
"I should be saying that. Now lie back down and rest up, the syringe won't last long and I'm only almost done." You gently put him down so his bruised rib and other injuries you've treated wouldn't get irritated.
"Please say yes if I ask you to have a family with me in the future. I want to spend eternity with you, amor. Eres una diosa para mí. (You're a goddess to me.) Let me worship you."
You were so glad that your medical room was slightly dim lighted so your husband wouldn't see your taken aback face. But you were regardless, happy he had life goals set already.
"Rudy...I'd love that. All of it, but please. Save your strength. And I'm no goddess, just a doctor, Mr. Parra." You finally got the bullet out of his arm and now it was time to stitch him up. You had to use another syringe since the last one was getting weaker.
"Tonterías. (Nonsense) You are one."
"Rudy..." You warned him, but you just wanted him to rest instead of forcing himself to assure you he'd be fine or him spouting his praise towards his wife.
"Sólo que decir mi nombre me hace feliz. Esa es una verdadera diosa para mí."(Just you saying my name makes me happy. That's a true goddess to me.)
