Believe it or not this came about when I was trying to think of a joke about Flowery using terms like "best friend" or "old buddy" romantically because Asgore used them whenever he talked about Rudy and he was clearly in love with him, but the more I thought about it the sadder it got so I went another direction, haha.
First time I've done a long comic like this with separate pages! I wasn't really sure how to post it here, hopefully this'll work.
(I think Rudy felt just as much about him as Asgore did but since they never talked about it he also thought Asgore wasn't taking it seriously and so they ended up not pursuing it because they just didn't tALK TO EACH OTHER AAAA)

Pearl has been trying to get everyone to fight for this whole SMP, but in this episode she:
1. Is actively distraught when Owen and Sausage are chosen (first time all smp)
2. Tells Sausage to take her ability so he doesn't have to see what he's about to do
3. Tries to tell them not to fight at all
4. Tries to take their place in the area despite knowing it wouldn't work
5. Tells them to play the whole thing off as a sparring match so they can pretend it's not real
She does not want her family to die in the arena or to be negativly effected by killing their friends

how many times do i have to tell people. psychiatric institutions do not exist to protect mentally ill people. they exist to separate us from society and torture us into complicity. most people i have met in psych hospitals lie their way out. because there is no other way out. they don't help us there. some people find it beneficial, but most don't.
also, not everyone there even "belongs" there! i met someone who went to the ER for a headache and ended up in the psych ward! another person came in for an anxiety attack mistaken for a heart attack and got put in the psych ward. i was involuntarily admitted because they thought i tried to kill myself when i didn't! i had only told my doctor i was struggling with drinking and wanted to make sure i didn't need detox. and when i got there, they forced me to go cold turkey from all my medication (including the ones for my chronic illnesses!). i was stuck in bed for days, and this was then used against me as proof that i needed to be there!
(by "belong" i mean according to the actual written standards for hosptialization. i don't think anyone "belongs" in a psych ward)
these places are not safe. they were a compromise the ruling class made after people started realizing asylums were abusing, torturing, and effectively kidnapping women. they didn't stop doing that. they just made it look like they did. they convinced everyone that it was different this time.
a cage made of gold is still a fucking cage. (disclaimer: this is US-based experiences, i do not claim to speak for people in other countries)

Character concept:
An oracle who relays messages they don't understand, to people whom they don't know, through graffiti. Most of it seems like completely random nonsense, in completely random places, but whatever compels them to write this instruction in this exact place ensures that whoever needs to see it will see it at just the right time, and make the right choice.
Not knowing the question, only the answer, the oracle frequently feels compelled to write these messages, such as "turn left", "no", "the greener one", "it's in his shoe", "garlic bread", or "the dog knows", to random things and places like on a trash can, on the bottom of a park bench, on a post-it note in the bathroom of a coffee shop. The oracle doesn't know that these messages sometimes solve matters of life and death.
And at one point while on a walk, passing under a bridge, the oracle feels compelled to write, "stop searching for these. You will not find me this way." And then, on the complete opposite side of the city, they see a bicycle, can sense that this is a place for a message, but this time one isn't dictated - they can freely choose what to write. And this time, they vaguely know whom it's for. So the Oracle leaves a message.
"I would like to be friends, though."
Some of this is just called 'monkey wrenching', it's the lost art of simply throwing a wrench in the gears of the system to bring it down.
ICE driving behind you? Forget where you're going and Just ... sit through a green light. Don't have to keep doing it, or get caught ... just PERFORM YOUR TASKS POORLY.
Drop a wrench and say 'oops'.
You can resist while saying sorry, and pretending to comply. it's still resistance.

i've always been dogshit at pottery on a wheel because i have weak noodle arms and can't hold my hands firmly in place to center the clay but i finally realized the root issue was that my legs are SHORT since i have the limb/torso proportions of a dachshund and i couldn't brace my elbows on my legs, so i put bricks under my feet and now i can sort of do it!! i've tried to learn twice in the past from TALL people but had a revelation when i watched a medium size guy throwing.
The moral of the story is: don't give up, maybe you just need bricks

like it's actually astounding how they can grasp that masculinity & femininity are social constructs & gender expression is a conscious set of choices made with the intent to be perceived a certain way in relation to these concepts when it comes to white people but the moment you're like "there wasn't actually any intent to be subversive or gnc made here that's just what my hair looks like as a Black woman" they have a meltdown
