older lotr illustrations sometimes depict éowyn wearing ridiculously small armour. apart from the problem general sexualisation of the only female character (who really does anything), there’s another hilarious thought:

éowyn pretended to be dernhelm, a man. to fit in, she must have worn men’s armor. so the armor in the illustrations is normal for rohirrim.

therefore, all the rohirrim rode to war just like that:

there’s a thundering sound in the distance as the rohirrim ride into war but rather than hoofbeats it’s the collective sound of all their cheeks clapping

the artist for this particular piece is Frank Frazetta and to be fair to him this is how he drew the orcs armor 

so the rohirrim comment is probably not that far off

Frank Frazetta was the reason He-Man was designed like that; the producers conduct a study to see what art appeal the most to children, and Frank’s work came out on top in popularity. So everyone in He-Man is dressed the way they are directly because of Frazetta.

I know Tav isn't implied to have any family, but I find the situation of Tav's parents being tavern keepers in Baldur's Gate REALLY funny.

Like during Act 3 they have the opportunity to set camp at their home instead of the Elfsong Tavern. Just imagine your disappeared kid suddenly showing up back at home, potentially accompanied by:

A vampire

A githyanki warrior

An ex-Sharran

A guy with a bomb in his chest

A tiefling on fire

The son of the duke who's now a devil

A mountain of an elf, occasionally bear

An ex-antagonist noble drow

The head of the Harpers

The ranger hero of the city

The daughter of the moon goddess and her used-to-be-dead girlfriend

The fiend patron of the duke's son

An old couple, with one of them being a lycanthrope

Astarion's wording is so old fashioned when he's using vicious mockery 😭 it makes me think of Wyll and his dialouge about Astarion's age becoming apparent with his words choice at times.

And it's just. So funny to imagine this happens extra while Astarion is pissed.

He's frusterated over something and there's a 50/50 shot he'll do the dramatic dumbing down shit he does in game or begin just. Sneering words no one but Halsin and Jaheira recognize 😭

The first time Astarion is genuinely tweaking out at something in camp Gale is off to the side with his dictionary like

Those are actually not spiky feathers at all! They sure do look like it, though, and that's likely the point- if I were a raptor looking down upon a pincushion, I would think twice about grabbing it with my bare feet.
