These Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish Donuts are a delightful twist on a classic pastry. They are perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat any time of the day. The cream cheese and blueberry jam filling adds a creamy and fruity burst of flavor to these donuts.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened. 1/4 cup blueberry jam. 1 egg. 1/4 cup milk. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup fresh blueberries. Powdered sugar for dusting optional.
Instructions: Grease a donut pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Blend the softened cream cheese and blueberry jam thoroughly in a separate bowl. Blend the cream cheese mixture until smooth, then add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mixing until just combined, pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Add the fresh blueberries and fold gently. Spoon the batter into the donut pan that has been preheated, using a piping bag or a ziplock bag with one corner cut off. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the donuts are just starting to turn golden and bounce back when you touch them, in a preheated oven. After a few minutes of cooling in the pan, move the donuts to a wire rack to finish cooling. If desired, dust with powdered sugar after they've cooled. Your delectable Danish Donuts with Blueberry Cream Cheese can be served and enjoyed!
