Why her, she kept asking as she curled under the blankets. She cried the pain away as it tore at her heart. Crying was never enough. She needed to know emotional pain wasn't all there is. She would take a blade to her wrist when tears stopped helping. His words would fill her head. You're too fat. You feel too much. You will never be enough for me. I'll fix you before I leave you. But then he would leave and come back a few weeks later. Apologies, I love you's, words that never truly meant a thing. Every time she took him back. Every time she broke more. Pieces breaking and getting lost. Who is she? What has she become? She couldn't do it anymore. She didn't recognize the face in the mirror. She left, lost the last piece of her as she walked out that door. Now she's finding the pieces, so scattered and lost. But it's still hard. Why her, she kept asking as she curled up under the blankets.

Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016).  There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

He was beautiful. When we began I fell head over heals for him. I don’t know why but I was drawn to him. He never said the right things, always said the worst. He told me I was disgusting and I needed fixed. That I was a problem that needed solving. Somehow, I still fell for him. He treated me like garbage but I loved him. He was abusive to me, not physically but emotionally and mentally. He played me like a broken violin. It wasn’t a lovely sound but it worked. He’d get bored and leave me. Constantly. If he decided he was stressed, he’d leave. Once, he found someone else and left me. He said it was what made him realize he loved me. That was four into our 8 1/2 years. I realized my love for him was like a disease and it became terminal...

She couldn’t breathe. She grasped her throat hoping somehow she could control the panic. It was tearing her into pieces. Someone standing beside her, “You’re such a failure. You can’t even remember to breathe.” A voice behind her, “Way to be a worthless piece of sh*t!” Her heart was pounding much faster, much harder. “Everyone hates you. I don’t even know why you try.” I have to try, she thought. Otherwise you’ll take over... I can’t let you... “You’ll never succeed. Just curl up in the corner and cry like you always do.” “You’ll never change.” “It doesn’t matter because none of this is real! None of you... are... real!” She exclaimed. Her throat lessened and she could breathe. “You’re all just the voices in my head! My insecurities! My fears! You’re just me!”

Once upon a time, she was happy. She believed that a guy could make her happy. He alone held her happiness in his hands. He’d dangle it before her and she would do whatever he wanted, whatever it took, just to have a taste. This dance, his demands and her will, continued for years. She lived ignorantly to the things going on to herself and the person she was becoming. 

To everyone else, she was no longer her. This girl they all loved and cared for is now a broken husk of who she once was. His abuse was not physical but scarred all the same. These scars are just much deeper than the skin and last much, much longer. Her mind was turned. If he said she was unattractive and worthless then she whole heartedly believed she was. When he’d say he wanted her - even if she wasn’t good enough for him - she felt grateful someone like him could want her. He destroyed her.  

Years later, she opened her eyes. Her heart throbbed in pain, her mind circling, her eyes finally clear. This was bad, unhealthy. This was abusive. She endured 8 1/2 years of mental and emotional abuse. She believed someone who told her she was ugly and worthless. Looking at herself now, she is brave, strong, and beautiful. She has grown and learned. She’s worth so much more than him. She persisted, she survived.

She was dead. She was one of the lucky ones. The cliff started to crack under her, but I think she noticed it. Just didn't care enough to try and run. I wish she didn't leave me alone in this world. We were supposed to be a team, dammit! I can't do this alone. We were supposed to make it, together. This world is too harsh for a girl to make it on her own. We struggled apart. Together, man we could take on the challenges. I knew she struggled inside with herself. This dead world could easily destroy you. I just thought... I meant more than this. More than to let yourself die. I loved you, with everything that is me and you go and die. Now what?

I saw it in his gorgeous eyes. There was something about a twilight sky that made him nervous. It wasn't until I couldn't break his gaze that I noticed this isn't right. The hair on his back started to rise on end and a growl rumbled deep in his throat. Sweat started to run on the back of my neck and the only thought I could muster was I should run. My feet were frozen to the ground unable to budge from fear. His head slowly turned to meet my terror. His eyes... they were no longer the blue green that matched my own. They were now glazed over with red... and I knew even if I could run now, I would die tonight.

They always say the devil made me do it. It's always his fault. But this... this wasn't him. This was a different monster that exists within the darkness of my soul. I didn't see it, didn't feel it. I only realized it when my vision came to focus. My hands were dripping with blood, blood that wasn't my own. I stood there staring at them as if they were not mine. That's when i noticed her. Lying on the ground was the female body - or what is left. "But I'm not a monster" slipped through my lips. Looking at the girl on the floor and my hands, i knew it wasn't the devil. It was the monster inside of me who had a taste for blood.
