i see this “let shepard rest” thing pretty often from many people and i do have to say that. that’s not how death works? like death is not resting. it’s just the end. you don’t get to relax or recuperate. death as rest is just a religious fantasy, and that’s fine to hold for yourself, but i’m having trouble imagining someone like shepard ascribing to that. and i don’t think it makes for a convincing narrative argument
