summery: Tomodachi life drops and you wanna play it... but you don't have a console to play it on! lucky for you your socially awkward and totally not adorable classmate kenma is willing to share his console with you, what happens when the two of you share an island?
Dividers made by me :D
For the past week time seemed to move slower, the atmosphere felt different⊠like everyone else's time slowed while you were too busy trying to figure out what was going on and how to slow your own pace in life. That's when you got your answer, in the form of your friend showing you this new game that just released, tomodachi life, and immediately it clocked to you why everyone seemed to be in this unreachable world. They were all playing this cool new game behind your back! To be fair it's not like everyone tried hiding it from you, you just didn't have your own gaming console to bother keeping up with the latest game. That doesnât mean you've never played video games before, god you weren't that uncultured and boring of course. Your older brother had his own console, and would sometimes lend you his switch to play games on. So you decided to buy the game and play it on your older brotherâs portable console, problem solved.
âYeah uh- no⊠sorry Y/N, but Iâm not lending you my console again.â Kota told you after you asked to borrow the gaming device.
âWhat?! Why not?!â You were beyond pissed! You already bought the game, that was a big chunk of your allowance!
âI lent it to Ren (your youngest brother) the other day and he accidentally cracked the screen, so I've decided I won't be taking any more chances.â He said sternly like nothing you could say would change his mind.
âWhatâs that got to do with me?! I'm always careful with your things!â You were getting really desperate, that yucky feeling of having spent a great amount of money on something just for it to be a waste in the end was currently devouring you whole.
âI'm sorry Y/N but I seriously wonât be taking any risks anymore, plus if Ren saw you using the console when he's banned from it, heâll probably brat about it to mom and dad and frankly I can't be bothered to deal with any of that.â It was obvious Kotaâs decision was final. You lost. KO.
You stomped out of his room grumbling and whining about how annoying he was cause how dare he turn his back on you like that! in your moment of need! That's what you get for depending on your siblings.
âShoot me if I ever decide to do anything for anyone in this house again.â You mumbled to yourself angrily as you marched your way to your room, stupid âtomodachi life: living the nightmareâ clenched in your hand. Could you even return this thing? You already opened it out of excitement so thereâs no way the store would want it back.
There's nothing you could really do now but hope that Kota would calm down and decide to give you his console again. Honestly, you couldnât decide who to be more mad at: Ren for being such a careless child and breaking the screen or Kota for not trusting you enough.Â
you ended up concluding that both were equally as bad and that in an ideal world where murder wasn't punishable, double homicide would be within your options. Sadly however you lived in a broken world therefore killing your two nuances werenât within your cards (plus youâd feel too bad doing it)
So, defeatedly, you put away the game card on your shelf, a constant reminder of how the world decided to join against you for no reason, maybe this was karma for laughing at your friend when she tripped on the sidewalk⊠no thatâs too minor itâs probably karma for when you trash talked your teacher. or maybe itâs karma for when you ate Rens ice cream. damn youâve got a lot of bad karma built up no wonder nothing is going your way.
Life felt so dull going forward, waking up the next day felt like having a rain cloud looming over you, and only you while everyone else (who had tomodachi life) enjoyed the rainbow. You weren't like them, your world was grey while theirs was colored. No one will ever understand your pain, but life does not stop for the unfortunate and school tolerated no absences. So on you went dragging your feet all the way to school, slouched like a brain eating zombie. Some people turned and stared at the off way you were walking but you couldn't care less right now your life is in shambles, let them stare! You soon approached the school gate and quickly realized you were way too early today.
UghâŠ
Well it wouldn't hurt if you walked around the courtyard near the gym for a bit. The weather was quite nice now that you're actually taking it all in instead of sulking. As you neared the area you started hearing loud noises coming from the gym, volleyballs smacking the floor and sneakers squeaking.
Oh⊠the school's volleyball team is probably having morning practice right now.
You thought to yourself, it's quite well known that Nekoma high was one of the top schools when it came to volleyball. You weren't that into the sport but even you knew how good the students on the team were at the sport.Â
Looking around the area you noticed you weren't alone, some guy resting against a tree with the team's uniform on.Â
Weird... Isn't he supposed to be in there training..? Oh- wait isn't that Kenma-?
Right. Kenma. He's in your class, you talk to him whenever you get the chance, you'd consider him a friend but you weren't quite sure whether he saw you the same way with the way he'd respond to you. (nothing mean⊠just Kenma being Kenma yk). You immediately clocked the gaming console in his hands, you quickly stormed over with no warning.
âOh my god Kenma! you have a gaming console! Like duh, you do. I knew that but I didn't know you had the exact model as my brother!â The same model that would support tomodachi life.
Your sudden appearance caused the poor kid to flinch. He was so into the game he hadn't even noticed you there to begin with until you emerged from thin air and startled him.
âUm hiâŠâ He answered back carefully, one wrong move and you looked like you might devour him.
A moment of awkward silence passed over the two of you. The eye contact was going to kill Kenma, with how intense you were staring at him.
âSo uh⊠Do you need something?âÂ
âOh uh-â You hadn't thought this far on what you'd really say, so you took a moment to gather your thoughts before finally answering him. Sitting beside him so you could be on eye level.Â
âSo um⊠I was wondering if you would be ok with lending me your gaming console⊠You see I- kinda⊠Bought a game without actually having a console to play it onâŠâ You started fidgeting with your fingers breaking eye contact suddenly feeling shameful over how audacious you sounded right now.Â
âOh- that's stupid.â He replied calmly while pressing the keys to his handheld game console.
âHey-! Thatâs just rude! I thought my brother would let me borrow his but he didnât⊠Now I just have the game.â
More silence passed you both, before you finally got to the point.
âSoooo⊠I was wondering if I could borrow yours!â You asked enthusiastically leaning in way too far, and catching him off guard once again making him slip back at the sudden closeness.
âYou want mine?!âÂ
âMhmâ You nodded eagerly, like your happy go lucky personality would be enough to get him to hand over his console.Â
âBut I-â Sensing a rejection you quickly cut him off.
âPlease Kenma! Please! Pretty please! I spent so much on the game and can't even play it. Isn't that just the worst!?â You clasp your hands together looking at him through the most puppy dog eyes you could muster, it might be a little manipulative but it wasn't like you were hurting anyone, but only if you knew how much you were affecting himâŠ
To you Kenma might be somewhat of a friend, but to him you were one of the only people to go out of their way to interact with him aside from kuroo and his team mates. Admittedly he sorta had a teeny tiny crush on you, NO BIGGIE THOUGH! (its totally a massive ass crush he's just so awkward you canât pick up on it)
And right now with how you were practically begging him to share his console he couldn't help the blush that spread across his cheeks and ears, he's never been more grateful for his long hair because it did an amazing job at hiding his flustered expression from you.
With that it didn't take much more to get him to fold.
âAlright⊠You can borrow it I guess. But- if you donât mind me knowing. What game are you going to play? I might already have itâŠâ He tried acting nonchalant, sitting up properly again, regaining his balance and a bit of his composure.
âOh it's that new game tomodachi life.â
âOh that game? I've heard of that, I was planning to get it later this week." He started getting more comfortable and relaxed now, the tension from before leaving his body.
âOh my god really? Cool! How about I give you the game card for you to keep, and you let me borrow your console to play it on.â You struck up a deal. Kenma was already more than willing to give you his console without this deal, but sharing the game sounded quite nice, and a little romantic if he thought about it too longâŠ
âI- uh⊠I wouldn't mind, but are you sure you're okay with me keeping the game card?â He asked, wanting to make sure you were okay with this.
âYes I feel like thats fair, I get to play tomodachi life on your console and in return you get to play it too when you get the console back, and since you own the console I feel like its better you keep the game card, im a little worried i might lose it haha..â You admitted with a little giggle.
That sealed the deal for Kenma.
Your alliance with Kenma has now begun!
âKenma get your butt back in here you're missing out on training!â Yaku yelled out from the gym entrance, cutting the moment short.
After that day you began coming to school early borrowing Kenma's console during his morning practice and then borrowing it once again during after school practice. Kenma got to play during breaks and when he was home, a fair deal.
The both of you had mutually agreed to share an island, you thought it would be more fun that way, having a mix of video game, drama show characters and a sprinkle of people from school in one island gave to a more interesting experience.
To make sure you guys were on the same page you guys made sure to update one another after every playing session.
âHey Kenma, I just finished building that pool we were talking about.â
âOh by the way princess zelda has a crush on L.â
âI gave bokuto a pet owl.â
âThat one guy from that drama you like diedâŠâ
âNOOO!â
âYaku is beefing with that girl from algebra.â
âCanât blame him.â
âTwilight Sparkle befriended Mordecaiâ
Weeks went on like this, you guys taking turns playing and sharing information, and over time the two of you grew closer.
That âOh I think we're sort of friendsâ turned into âthat's my ride or die if you mess with him iâll eat your favorite snacks!â
And the "She's sorta cute⊠But I definitely don't like her!â turned into âI definitely do like her⊠but shut up donât bring it up!â
One day after you had given him back his gaming console, said your goodbyes and went home. Kenma opened up the game the moment he got home, he had a bunch of assignments due but he'd do them later.
Kenma the king of procrastinationÂ
Laying on his bed he switched on the gaming device and logged into the island. Lately everything had been super calm on the island, no beef, no drama, no death⊠but the quiet never lasts, not in Kenma's life at least. While checking up on the miis he noticed that the miis of you and him were offly close, a new friendship? Kinda out of the blue a little⊠but it's not like it was different from real life.
But then, out of nowhere his mii started acting strange, and as he followed along he found out something that shook him to his core⊠his mii had a crush on your mii!
âYou can not be doing this to me right now!â Naturally he started panicking, who wouldn't?! You guys shared an island and if you saw this tomorrow things would get awkward!
His mii started talking about true love after your mii would hang out with him and every time Kenma tried everything in his power to shut it down.
âAaAaH⊠YoU KnOw EvEn ThOuGh I DoNât KnOw Y/N VeRy WeLl, I JuSt KnOw ThAt We ArE MeAnT To Be ToGeThEr⊠YoU KnOw?â
âNO Kenma I DONT KNOW! Well actually I kinda do⊠BUT! That's not the point right now!â Kenma yelled back at his video game self.
âWhAt Do YoU ThInK I ShOuLd Do?â options dictating whether he should confess or not appeared on the screen.
âGive up! GIVE UP!â in his rush to press the give up button his finger accidentally slipped and instead he pressed âConfess your love!â
âNOO!â
âCoNfEsS My LoVe To HeR? JuSt⊠OuT Of ThE BlUe?â
âNO Kenma NO I SAID NO!â He was screaming at the tiny screen like that would change anything.
âAlL RiGhT! SeIzE ThE DaY! WhIcH I WiLl!â
âNOOO! DONâT!â Kenma buried his face into his pillow screaming out in frustration.
âI hope you trip on your way there and dieâŠ!â He said begrudgingly, lifting his head back up to reluctantly see what happened next.
By the end of the night, you and Kenma were married. The amount of things Kenma tried doing to break the miis up was crazy, and ultimately he still failed. Maybe their love was too strong⊠That didn't matter though! If you found out you'd probably think he did it on purpose and cut all contact!
âI hate you so much KenmaâŠâ He groaned.
Well maybe you wouldn't notice tomorrow⊠there were a bunch of other miis on the island hopefully you'd focus on them instead. So with that Kenma called a quits, packed his school bag and launched himself into bed.Â
âHey Kenma!â You waved him over when he arrived at your agreed meeting point in the morning. There was about 5 minutes before morning practice started, previously he would drop off his console and give you a few updates on the island then head off to the gym so he wouldn't get scolded for being late.
Today however he was scared for his life, he hadn't slept properly last night brain storming excuses on what to say about the situation between you guys on the island. Sadly to no success.Â
âMorning Y/NâŠâ He greeted back in his usual tired voice.
âOh you sound more tired than usual, did you stay up all night playing? Oh my god did something exciting happen!?â You asked too eagerly, the island had been at peace for the past few days. Finally something fun was happening.
âN-no.â He blurted out without thinking, how the hell was he supposed to tell you that you and him got married, had a wedding and kuroo was the flower girl.Â
He was considering making some excuse about how his console wasnât charged and therefore couldnât give it to you, but come on this is Kenma weâre talking about would you ever believe if he spewed such nonsense? plus it wouldnât be fair, this was your game after all it would be selfish of him to withhold your playing rights like that.
so without further more delay, he sighed quietly in defeat handing over the device. He decided at this very moment that he would not tell you about your union, you probably wouldn't notice anyway, you've been hyper fixated on getting hatsune miku to befriend saiki k. Yeah he was totally safe. Now that he had established a false sense of security he had started feeling much better.
âOh alright then, have fun at practice Iâll update you soon!â You quickly got to loading up the game, waving the mentally drained guy off to the battle feild.
âByeâŠâ Kenma waved tiredly, slouching over as he dragged his feet to the gym, the last thing he needed was to be late and yelled at by yaku or anyone else from the team.
Morning practice was hard on the soul enough, having to be up at the break of dawn to toss volleyballs around was probably some sort of torture mechanism created in 100 bc that even the ancient romans were to merciful to put someone through. So not only was Kenma being put through child labour right now but heâs also currently being filled with this sickening pit in his stomach, because no matter how delusion he tried to be about this situation, telling himself youâd probably not notice. There was still a voice in the back of his mind grating about the fact youâll find out and tell the entire school.
âOoOoh~ Kenma~? You like me? No you LOVE me?! HAHA what a loser! Enjoy our marriage in game because I'd NEVER marry you in real life!â You point at him mockingly in his mind.
âLook everyone! Kenma has a crush on me and got our miis married!â You announced to everyone making him a laughingstock.
He shivered at the thought of you doing that. No. Kenma knew you'd never humiliate him like that in front of others, you werenât like that. however he wasnât sure how you'd react when you found out.
By the time practice had ended he looked like he had aged 6 years from over thinking, mumbling and muttering incoherently at every step he took towards the gym exit and to your meeting area.
you were still sitting there in the same spot he had left you in, maybe that was a good sign You didn't seem annoyed, mad or furious, just focused in that cute way you always are when he leaves his console with you. Kenma couldn't help but stare for a bit, taking in the precious moment in front of him, sometimes he couldn't wrap his head around why you ever even talked to him. Before all of this tomodachi life deal, you guys were just classmates, he admired you from afar not just because you were pretty and cute but because you were one of the only people who ever said goodmorning to him and talked to him randomly unprovoked. Through it all he may have seemed unbothered and uninterested as he continued gaming, but he was always intently listening to you the whole time. And now you guys were friends and he didn't have to admire you from so far away anymore.
After several moments he gathered up enough courage to approach you, after finally convincing himself you didn't know about his and your miis being married, judging on the fact you were still happily playing.
âHey.â His voice grabbed your attention from the screen.
âOh hey Kenma, you're done with practice already?â You looked up at him with a smile, that made his heart skip a beat.
âUh yeah- we finished a few minutes early.â
âCool.â You beamed scooting over for him to come sit next to you so you could show him the screen.
As he sat down you started giggling.
âHuh, what's so funny?â
âOh nothing.â You continued giggling contradicting your previous statement.
Kenma deadpanned, clearly it wasn't ânothingâ, did he do something?
Is something on my face? Did a bird shit on me again?!
Before he could overthink further, you turned the screen towards him, showing him the cause of your laughter.
It was like time had frozen at that very moment and the air was knocked out of his lungs, he genuinely couldn't comprehend what he was seeing for a good few seconds. The sounds of the miis talking broke him out of his trance. His and your mii, together, holding what seemed to be a baby. One that has his miis hair and your miis face, immediately his face was aflame he felt so stupid that he never thought you wouldn't notice! But last night he had left the game with you two married. How the hell was there a baby now?!
âSheâs so cute isnt she? I named her Maru.â You broke the news to him giggling at his baffled face.
âHuh- how- I MEAN- WHEN-?! Wha-?! Why would you do this?! I-â Poor guy was malfunctioning in real time.
âI don't know if you tell me, you got us married, didn't you? I didn't know you liked me like that. Ken~â You took the opportunity to tease him.
âI didn't mean to- it just happened-" He frantically tried defending himself getting even more flustered than before.
âSo you donât like me?â You tilted your head coyly, batting your lashes at him innocently like you didn't know exactly what you were doing.
âI- what- no- well-â He stopped himself, taking a deep breath before looking to the side, away from you to gather his thoughts.Â
His hair covered the majority of his face from that angle, so you couldn't quite tell what his expression was.
âI do like you⊠I really do- but I swear I didn't marry our miis on purpose! I'd never force you into an uncomfortable situation like that! It- it just happened⊠I tried to stop them but everything I did seemed to help them get closer until they finally tied the knotâŠâ His voice got quieter as he looked down in shame, he liked you loads more than his words could describe, but he knew you probably didn't reciprocate his feelings, so having your miis become a married couple was a massive breach of boundaries.
âIâm sorry if I made you uncomfortable that wasn't my intent-â
âWho says I don't like you too?â You said it so casually Kenma didn't register it at first, he looked back at you awe struck as you went back to playing with the little mii family. Like you hadn't just reciprocated his feelings.
âYouâre super adorable, you should see yourself when you're grumbling about something that's bothering you, or that look on your face when you're hyper focused on something, usually your video games.â
âIâm not adorableâŠâ was all he could muster. You liked him? Of all people?? He couldn't believe it...
âYeah you are!â You giggled, âNow stop moping, you're missing out on Maruâs milestones!â Your casual tone made all the fear and awkwardness melt away.
can y'all tell I don't have Tomodachi life? :P
i really wanna play it ngl like I tried de-influencing myself and it usually works I'm not the type of person who's easy when it comes to selling stuff to but I REALLY wanna play this game and like I don't have a console to play it on, if only I had a kenma in my life :c
(I actually do have a guy in my class who has the Nintendo switch but he's low-key a misogynist and was quite rude to me a few times as a 'joke' so I don't wanna ask him.)
reblogs, likes and comments are appreciated just so you know whenever you guys tell me you loved my fic or that it made you happy it makes my day 29083973 times better so thank you so much for the love and support

i take this university history class where we analyze different cultures from different times and how the environment affected that culture, its a pretty fun class ngl.
anyways we were taking a lesson about ancient Greece and we got to this vase with drawings of women getting water using these big water containers, the question that was brought up was why were the women the ones getting the water? the containers weren't heavy but once filled with water would be super hard to carry back home so why weren't the men doing this task? the reality was that they could have but the women volunteered to do it themselves, why? was it to show how strong they were? to have contributing roles to society? no. the simple answer was they just wanted to hang out with their friends and yap, bc water was an everyday need which meant the girlies could hangout every day while filling their vases with water. genuinely the moment I heard that it made my heart melt cuz wdym girls in 400bc went through the annoying task of getting water just so they could hang out with their girlies and talk about their new outfits and gossip about the latest crap happening in Olympus. idk that's just so cute to me ;-;

BokutĆ KĆtarĆ teaching your daughter how to say âHey Hey Heyâ âfluff
âCâmon, baby, I know you can do it! Say: Hey. Hey. Hey.â
Your babygirl grins widely, looking incredibly cute in her Hello Kitty Onesie. âHâŠH!! He!â
You giggle, gently tickling her sides, making her squirm on your lap. Your Husband shakes his head slowly, âNo, no. Itâs: Hey! Hey! Hey!â
Your daughter laughs loudly and slaps Bokuto with her tiny hand. âDada! Da-Da!!â You gently tangle your fingers in her black and white Hair, making her look up to you, âMa-Ma-Ma!!â Her little toddler fingers grab your hand, being completely distracted by them.
Bokutoâs hair falls down and he pouts softly, âCmon, I believe in you.â He taps his pointer finger against your Daughterâs shoulder, trying to get her attention back. âJust say Daddyâs Catchphrase: Hey! Hey! Heyy!â
He tries to make her say it for thirty more minutes, failing miserably.
Later that Day, youâre all watching âBlueyâ together as your Daughter randomly shouts, âHey! Hey! Heeey!â
You gasp loudly and Bokuto jumps up immediately, just to drop on his knees dramatically, âShe said it!! She actually said it! Iâm the happiest man alive!â
You giggle so hard, your belly hurts and your daughter just looks confused from one parent to the other.

headcanons for how I think Iwa's daughter would be like.
just some fluffy headcanon I thought of one day, semi-proof read, enjoy!
When you and your husband Iwaizumi found out you were expecting a girl, Iwaizumi fully prepared himself to be a girl dad.
He practiced tea drinking etiquette for all the tea parties his little girl would make him have.Â
He watched hair styling videos (he already knew some basics from having to have to do your hair when you were too tired to yourself), and would ask if he could practice on you, which you gladly agreed to.Â
You even once caught him secretly doing one of those buzz feed princess quizzes, you had to hold back your laughter as he very seriously explained how he needed to know this stuff so that his daughter wouldnât think he was an uneducated, unrefined idiot or something along those lines. In the end you just burst out laughing with your unborn baby kicking harshly as if laughing alongside you at her father.
And rightfully so, because from the moment your baby girl was born it was pretty evident she was not interested in anything her father had practiced for.Â
From the moment she could choose her playing preferences she leaned into aggressive play. Instead of tea parties she made Iwaizumi wrestle her, pinning him down like some sort of dirty thief who stole from some poor old lady, thing is he doesnât even need to hold back shes just naturally strong.
She loved watching wrestling matches cheering for her favorite wrestlers in her little tiara and tutu the ones you had gotten her for a friends birthday party that was princess themed (never in your wildest dreams did you think your daughter would wear them as she suplexed her plushie tiger while watching her match). Iwaizumi calls her his warrior princess which couldn't be more true.Â
Of course she likes playing with her dolls and plushies as well. Every girl has her own roster of toys she likes to role-play with, for your baby girl her roster owned dojos, were a part of a secret fighter community, other times were ninjas fighting against an oppressive system and many other intricate story lines. There were times where you would find yourself getting distracted by her little acts while you were meant to be working from home. In your defense she has a way with acting out certain roles that had you way too invested.Â
Before your daughter could crawl, you and your husband thought she might get into volleyball the same way he did as a kid. so you both got her a tiny volleyball she could easily grip so you could get her started early, she now uses it in her attacks against mr tiger (poor thing).
She absolutely loves watching Disney princess movies (maybe that buzzfeed quiz Iwa took wasn't a waste after all), one of her favorites being brave and the princess and the frog. She says the frog reminds her of uncle Oikawa, Iwaizumi let his childhood friend know to which the pro volleyball player responded in immense offense.
Your daughter may be into interests society does not deem befitting of a little girl. However you and Iwaizumi will never stand in the way of her interests, and will always make sure she has the support she needs to achieve her dreams.
Whether that be wanting to be a professional wrestler or becoming a crime fighter who is secretly an undercover princess. You'll both be there to love her the same because both of you are more than ready to take the role of coach and undercover knight, whichever she's in the mood for at that moment.
if Iwa ever had a daughter she'd be such a girl boss omg
i have an assignment worth 15% of my grade due tmr and I'm posting on Tumblr instead of working :P

fluffy One shot that's it :P
Summary: nothing just Bokuto playing Roblox and the chaos that follows
All you wanted was a quiet afternoon, but sometimes we don't always get the things we want and being married to someone like Bokuto meant you had signed away your peace and quiet the moment you agreed to be his wife. Kenma had introduced him to this game called Roblox a few weeks ago and he's been glued to his IPad ever since (you cannot convince me Bokuto is not an ipad kid). You'd be lying if you said you didn't enjoy playing Roblox with Bokuto, it was pretty hilarious watching him scream over dying in those stupid Obbys like he was feeling the pain his goofy avatar was going through when it oofed, although you weren't as addicted as he was. Today was no different from the past few weeks, he came home from practice, showered and got dressed before eating dinner with you and quickly cleaning up to play on his IPad. Heâd been paying this game called adopt me for the past few days now
It's probably his current favorite right now with how much he's grinding in the game.Â
You're both on the couch in your living room sharing a blanket to keep away the cold, you're watching this show recommended to you by a friend. It was calm until it wasn't, the environment that was peaceful was suddenly filled with this sort of tension- perhaps it was anxiousness? You didn't have to look at your husband to hear how hard he was aggressively typing on his IPad. When you do eventually look his direction you notice immediately the speed at which he was typing- he looked like a hacker in those movies where if he didn't write code fast enough the main leads would die. His eyebrows were furrowed with a clear crease forming between them, and his bottom lip was tucked between his teeth with unmatched concentration. If you were being honest he looked more determined right now than he ever did on the court when playing a hard match. You could only wonder what on earth he was doing⊠Was he seriously fighting with a child online? He can't have seriously forgotten that he is a famous volleyball player, who if found out to be behind this atrociously dressed account would be judged and maybe even cancelled into oblivion, never to be seen or heard from again.
âKoâŠâ You finally broke the silence, âHoney what are you doingâŠ?â
âThereâs-!â He paused to quickly send another message into the chat that you presume got hastaged from his defeated groan, âThere's this person trying to scam someone for their legendary fly ride unicorn! They keep saying they'll turn it into neon but they're lying!â
Mind you the only reason he knows this person is lying is because he was scammed 4 times before this.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me four times⊠Whoever came up with this saying wasn't fooled four times to let us know what happened after.
He quickly went back to typing trying to save this rando from getting tricked.
âY/N! THEY'RE NOT LISTENING!â Bokuto whined looking at you with the worry of a widowed woman from the Victorian era trying to think about how she'd feed her 13 children now that her husband was gone.
You peered over his shoulder to see what was going on.
âWell⊠Ko, maybe they⊠I don't know? Deserve to be scammed? You're not the only person trying to warn them there's so many other people in chat saying it's a scam and they aren't listening to anyone else so itâs not your problem anymore, you tried and they didn't want your help. Maybe this'll teach them to not be so trusting and naive.â Even though you tried to say this in the nicest, kindest way possible you could obviously see and hear in real time your husband's heart breaking.
âHow could you say that Y/NâŠ? No matter how stubborn someone is, you should never give up on them! If we all gave up on each other the world would be a much worse place, that's why we need to come together and look out for each other so we can take one step closer to world peace!â You genuinely thought he'd say plus ultra afterwards with how he was directing that speech.
Seeing his hero complex and his determination to help those in need, you let out a sigh, there was no harm in him trying to help.
âAlright just don't let it get to you.â He didn't even wait for you to finish before spamming chat with âscammer!â and â########â. You couldn't help but feel bad for his IPad. The poor thing was being beaten up and abused in the name of justice.
Finally you decided to join his game to watch in real time what was going on, truth be told this was probably more interesting than whatever that show you were watching could ever be.
Upon joining on your phone you see 3 different people including your husband surrounding the scammer and his victim, but even though there was literally a swarm around these two players calling the trust trade a scam the victim still went through with the trade. Evident by how the unicorn disappeared from next to them and reappeared with the scammer, which was followed by a loud defeated âNOOO!â from your husband.
âIt's ok Ko⊠You triedâŠâ You tried to comfort him, he's probably more sad than the person who just lost their unicorn. âMaybe we can report the scammer.â You thought out loud, quickly taking a screenshot of the playerâs username knowing they'd leave the game, and not a second later they were gone. Predictable.
Of course after getting scammed the once unicorn owner started crying in chat.
âNooo⊠They're sad nowâŠâ Koutarou pouted, before he suddenly had a light bulb moment (a once in a lifetime occurrence) âOH- Wait I know! I can give them a free pet.âÂ
It's things like these that remind you of how cute your husband is, he's so sensitive and he cares so much for people even if he doesn't know them.
How sweetâŠ
You thought as you smiled to yourself.
âAlright then you do that and Iâll leave the game to search for this scammer.â
The citizens of Adopt me came together to give away their hard earned pets, it gave you hope in humanity seeing how people were coming together to make someone who just got scammed feel better.
Now it was your turn to do your job, you searched up the scammers username and instantly found their account, you were about to press the report button when you noticed something weird⊠The account only had one friend, which raised some red flags in your head because even you, someone who just started playing Roblox, had more friends than this. Not just online friends but actual in real life friends like Kenma, Kuroo and his wife, Akashi and of course Bokuto. You remembered Kenma calling accounts with barely any friends alt accounts, and with how new the account looked it seemed that perhaps it was an alt account after all which means reporting it would be useless. So logically whoever was on the friends list was probably the real owner of this account which means reporting that account would be the smart choice. So with that you opened up the friends list and-
âUm Ko⊠can you spell out the user name of the person who just lost their unicorn?â You asked hesitantly not looking up from your screen.
âOh it's dookie_fartsniffer⊠um what a unique name.â He said not paying it much thought before clicking on their avatar then pressing give item and giving away his ultra rare lamb without hesitation. âI hope you like your new lamb dookie fart sniffer!â
âKo wait!â
âHuh whats wrong?â
You couldn't help but sigh before breaking the news to him âDookie fart⊠sniffer is the only person on the scammers friends list⊠They own that accountâŠâ
âEh?!â And before he could even comprehend what you just told him, the sniffer kid left the game.
Fool me five times, just quit playing adopt me all together.
Authors note: I haven't played adopt me in YEARS so I'm not quite sure if scams like these still exist but I'm sure we all still remember these daunting scammers lol I remember I used to like trolling them by saying I'd trust trade then proceed to waste their time by acting dumb and slow.
I still stand by the fact Bokuto would 100% be an IPad kid like ik for a FACT he has one of those massive IPads that he uses for the stupidest things.
also while scrolling through Pinterest to make the banner for this ff I found this
IT LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE BUMPY FROM CAMP CRETACEOUS JURASSIC WORLD I WAS LITERALLY SQUEALING SHE LOOKS SO STINKING CUTE I CAN'T

No warnings just fluff :D
The Isagi family is an average suburban looking family on the outside, on the inside however? Was filled with calculated minds, with equations being run 24/7 and analytical skills that were unmatched, it wasn't just Yoichi who had these capabilities you were just as calculating as he was perhaps even more. While he's busy analyzing things you're already a step ahead with your problem solving skills. Together you make an unbeatable team.
Today, while your husband was getting his daily dose of TV, you were in your shared bedroom talking to a friend on the phone, the topic of your conversation being tea from 8th grade that somehow hasn't run dry even now that more than a decade had passed.
You had been in the kitchen earlier getting a glass of water while gossiping when you caught your 4 year old son, Hinote, trying to sneak in a few cookies before lunch. Of course you stopped him, taking away the jar before sternly telling him sugar would ruin his appetite for lunch, finally you made sure to put the jar of cookies in the highest cabinet where he wouldn't be able to reach them (Hinote had a big appetite you doubted eating a few cookies would stop him from eating lunch but the sugar in his system was what you feared, whenever this kid ate too much sugar the house looked like it had a tornado run loose within the corridors.)
Hinote was not one to give up though, peeking his head slightly into the corridor to make sure you were in your bedroom he quickly rolled over making his way to the living room where his dad was located.
âPst⊠pst!âÂ
âHuh?â Yoichi pulled his gaze away from the TV and looked over to see his son on the floor like a soldier crawling through the trenches. "Whatâs up bud?â The father asked curiously.
âPapa, can you help me get the cookiesâŠ?â Hinote whispered lowly knowing the price he'd have to pay if you heard him.Â
âSure Iâll get the jar-â Isagi paused suddenly while in the process of him getting up. his brows furrowing as he shot his son a questioning look, âWait a second⊠your mama would never let you have cookies before lunchâŠâÂ
âWell I asked mama and she said I could have a few but she was too busy to get them down for me so she told me to ask you.â What a liar⊠surely Yoichi wouldnât fall for this-
âOh ok that makes sense.â And with that Yoichi picks up the little boy and happily makes his way to the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen Yoichi puts his son down on the floor and then he starts reaching up for the cabinet holding the sacred treats, Hinote eyes light up with delight, his plan was working out and there was no one to stop him. The goods were now within his fatherâs grasp and they'd be as good as his any moment now.
âYoichi Isagi!â Before the jar could even be uncapped you had caught them.
âOh hey honey.â Happy to see his wife as always he gave you the most innocent, most Isagi coded smile ever, the one your son had inherited as well. He clearly was not picking up on your furious aura, your son however ,even at the age of 4, was not as naive.Â
âWhat on EARTH are you doing! How many times have I said no sugar before lunch?!â You crossed your arms sternly.
âHuh? But you said Hinote could have some cookies he told me-âÂ
âPapa said he'd give me some snackies, I told him âno, mama said noâ, but he insisted!â The little boy quickly cut his father off, there was no way he was going to allow him to expose him like that. If throwing his father under the bus could potentially get him out of time out he'd do it without an ounce of hesitation . (heâd throw his dad under the bus even if the only thing youâd was pull at his ear)
Yoichi's jaw was practically on the floor trying to comprehend what was happening. He kept looking back and forth between you and your son rapidly. A look of betrayal crossed his face like a puppy who had just been told they weren't getting a treat after performing a tedious trick.
âI- but- you-â Seeing his father stammering for words to defend himself the toddler had to quickly put an end to it before he could be disproven.
âSee papa I told you mama wouldn't be happy about dis.â The little boy gained disappointment by pouting, puffing his cheeks and shaking his head while crossing his arms, now looking like an exact copy of you.
âDon't- you told me your mother said-â Seeing this Hinote had no option but to deploy his most underhanded trick yet.
âMama!â He ran towards you hugging your legs and rubbing his face against them like getting snacks had resulted in him becoming a victim, he was using that tone he knew made you weak for him (for a 4 year old he was concerningly manipulative âŠ). Your attention was instantly grabbed, your oh so sweet boy would never go behind your back to do something you told him not to, would he? No he wouldn't!
âThat's enough weâll talk about this later Yoichi I canât believe you'd break my word like that, unbelievable.â You picked up your toddler while huffing making your way back into the bedroom to continue your gossip sesh with your friend who mind you was still on the phone stifling a laugh as you lectured your husband. Before you disappeared out of sight Hinote made sure to stick his tongue out over your shoulder at his stunned father, chuckling mischievously after having gotten his way.
âYou little-â
After all no matter how smart you and Yoichi might be there was only one person who could outsmart you both and that person was none other than your son, how truly ironic.
I'm not sure how I feel about this fic I don't like it that much I'm not sure y ;-;
maybe it's writers block idk.

Synopsis: After moving from Tokyo to Hyogo Kasai, you struggled with making new friends. The only bright light in your life was your pet Quaker Blueberry, whom you'd raised as a chick. No matter how chaotic and bratty your Blueberry was you couldn't help but spoil and adore him, he was your baby after all. You made him the goofiest sweaters and hats, which he wore more often now that the weather was getting colder. Which is why when you woke up one day to find your window cracked open and a silent room dread immediately filled your body. The worst case scenarios flooded your mind, what if a cat got him? Or he got run over by a car? Or- or- or-! What you would have never guessed though, is that while you were having a panic attack your ball of terror was taking refuge at the Miya household a few blocks away, claiming the hearts of the twins and their mother, and being fed the best food. The boys who also happened to be in the same grade as you, and on your brother's volleyball team.
authors note: this takes place when your a first year making the Miya twins first years as well.
Friends werenât easy to make for you. Ever since youâd moved into a hyogo for high school, youâd lost all connections to your middle school friends back in Tokyo. While everyone in the area was familiar with one another you were still struggling to remember their names. School wasnât any better, teenagers tend to be quite mean⊠Therefore you had no friends, it didnât help that you were super introverted and already had some self esteem problems.
Which is why you loved Blueberry so much, your baby blue quaker, he was your only friend. youâd gotten him when you first moved here from a bird breeder, he was quite different back then⊠bald is the word youâd describe him as he was quite literally featherless when you took him home barely a few weeks out the egg. The two of you bonded instantly as he depended on you completely. Now that heâs older the two of you are inseparable although heâs grown into an attitude (youâre not quite sure where he got that from). You cook for him and spoil him rotten with toys and treats, one of your favorite things to do was make him tiny little clothes that fit him while watching a movie as you two shared a bowl of fruits and he squealed constantly like he was discussing the events of the movie you two were currently watching.
Your morning had started chilly, an average day for early December, but something felt off⊠it was quieter than normal, by now Blueberry would have woken you up with his squawking like some sort of personal alarm, but there was nothing. That's when you felt the cold air bite your skin, the type of coldness you'd only feel outside⊠thatâs when it hit you, your window was barely cracked open, but it was open enough to let wind in⊠and let your precious obnoxious quaker out. Fear and panic filled your body instantly as you jumped out of bed, maybe he was hiding somewhere- he wasnât stupid enough to actually fly away was he!? Okay maybe he was a little stupid but right now you couldnât think of anything besides finding him. You tore your room apart, searched his cage, under your bed, the entire damn house. heck even your brotherâs bedroom thinking maybe heâd bribed your blueberry with some snacks, but he was nowhere to be found. Your eyes began to well up with tears, and your brother whom youâd just woken up by slamming his door open to find your baby had woken up in a panic from how youâd loudly entered.
âWhat the hell- wait are we late for school!?â The poor guy genuinely thought you were about to drag him out of bed because you were running late, thatâs when he noticed the look on your face. âHey whatâs wrong- thereâs like⊠water coming out of your eyes.âÂ
Older brothers werenât known for their emotional intelligence.
He quickly sat up straight awkwardly trying to think of what could have you crying like this.
âIs someone bullying you at schoolâŠ?â He asked carefully with a tone he only used when he was being genuine.
Right⊠School⊠A place you need to be at in an hour⊠With your best friend missingâŠ
You tried to speak, tried to tell him what happened, that you needed his help to find Blueberry. Instead your lips trembled as you struggled to speak like there was some sort of force holding your voice hostage.
That's when the hysterical crying started, it was loud and ugly and frankly it scared the crap out of your brother who didnât know how to deal with these types of situations. The crying had alerted your parents and they came rushing in thinking you were on the verge of death.Â
âWhats wrong?â Your mother exclaimed at the sight of you, both your parents hanging onto your brother's doorframe. Your brother just shrugged at them clearly just as confused as they were.
âBlueberry- he's gone-!â You finally managed to get the words that felt like they were choking you out. Silence filled the room as your family tried comprehending what you just said.
âHe- did you check his cage?â your father tried to reason with you.
âI checked everywhere he's gone- the window was open- and-â Your words were barely coherent through your hiccups and sobs.
School was going to start in an hour and Blueberry was nowhere to be found.
âOk- weâll look for him outside while we walk to school, and I'll ask all my buddies at school if theyâve seen him.â Ryota, your brother, offered hoping it would calm you down. He too loved Blueberry and was just as worried as you, but he put on a brave face just for you. He's quite considerate when he really wants to be, itâs kinda sweet of him.
Your mother stepped forward wrapping her arms around you for a hug, an attempt at comforting you.
âEverything will be alright⊠Weâll find him okay? But right now you guys need to get dressed for school.â She gave you a reassuring kiss on the forehead, the same way she would when youâd scraped your knee as a child.
âWe'll go looking outside while the two of you are at school, I'll even ask some neighbors if they saw him.â Your dad added.
Even though you were quite literally having the worst day of your life, the world goes on regardless which means you had to get to school on time and the last thing you needed was people seeing your tear stained face. It took everything in you to compose yourself.
A Few Blocks AwayâŠ
âWOAH! WHAT IS THAT!?â The blonde haired boy exclaimed.
âTweat! Tweat!âÂ
âIt looks like some sorta bird.â His grey haired counterpart replied.
âI know that ya idiot! He just looks different from all the other birds around here.â
âOh stop it, you two.â Mama Miya chastised gently as she moved around the kitchen.
The Miya's object of admiration was on the kitchen island waddling around like it owned the place. A small blue bird that was in a baby blue sweater And a tiny beanie with a pompom? Did birds receive starter packs now?
âI found him outside this morninâ, he was tweetinâ loads so I brought him in, he looked cold and oh I just couldn' resist helpinâ him.â Miss Miya explained to her sons before they could ask further questions.
âDid ya make him that sweater too, ma?â Osamu asked curiously, causing his mother to chuckle softly.
âWell actually I found him like this, he must belong to someone, I'm sure they're looking everywhere for this cute lil pea but until then he can stay with us. The streets clearly weren't made for him.â Said quaker whistled as if agreeing with what she said which had Mama Miya petting the blue blob of feather.
âCool! He's a Miya now.â Atsumu seemed overly excited for this new addition to the family, reaching his hand out to the quaker and waiting for some sort of breath taking gesture from the tiny creature.
âUntil we find his owner.â Osamu crossed his arms, reminded his brother.
Just then the quaker hopped into Atsumu's palm like he was used to doing so which caused Atsumu to squeal like a school girl in excitement.
âHe loves me!âÂ
âHey lemme tryâŠâ Osamu argued while stepping forward wanting to be in the bird's view of sight. The fluff ball turned to Osamu while tilting his little head cutely looking between the brothers as if finding a correlation between the two. Then suddenly he took off flying and landing onto Osamu's shoulder, the sudden action causing the three Miyas to flinch and pause for a second before Atsumu finally spoke.
âHey! Thatâs not fair!â
âI guess he must love me more then.â Osamu provoked with a smug smirk, the bird hopped around the grey haired twin's shoulder tweeting in content. Sensing Atsumu's growing irritation, Mama Miya stepped in.
âOk thatâs enough you two, youâve got school in an hour, and isnât there volleyball practice this morning? Yâall better get going now.â She said sternly while gently reaching out towards Osamu's shoulder for the cheeky bird to perch on.
âBut-â Atsumu tried arguing he knew they had practice but they could get there on time if they ran, right now he wanted to spend more time with their ânew petâ.
âNo buts youâll be late and your captain ainât gonna be happy, plus iâm sure this lil guy will be here when you two get back, his owner could be anywhere and itâll probably take a while to find âem so weâve got a few days with this cutie.â She explained sternly wanting them to be on time.
âAlright maâŠâ Atsumu sighed defeatedly knowing there was no arguing with his mother.
Both brothers made their way out of their house and began walking to school, heading in an hour early for morning practice.
Little did they know this mischievous little quaker was none other than Blueberry, your Blueberry. So while you were out there in the cold, anxiously looking around for your ball of chaos before school, hoping he wasnât a victim of the food chain. Blueberry was in the Miya household, nice and warm being pampered and fed their food.
â----
âBlueberry!â You called out desperately, holding out a hand with his favorite treat which were unironically blueberries. Your brother was doing the same, hoping you'd get to find him on your way to school. Your voice was growing hoarse from the yelling and calling and to no success, as you reached school grounds you were filled with this helpless feeling, like the more time passes the less likely you'll find him like some sort of missing person.
âY/N.â Ryota's voice pulled you out of your trance, his expression was sympathetic and a little disappointed that your morning search was a fail.Â
âLook⊠I have practice now⊠and I can't leave you here alone since it's early, so you'll have to come and stay during practice.â
Before you could protest your brother put his hands on your shoulders grounding you.Â
âAnd before you argue, I can't have you walking around all alone with the sun barely up, I know you're desperate to find him- I am too but we haven't had any success in finding him, not even a feather. So for now we'll have to wait. We'll ask around, and I'm sure some kind person has found Blueberry and given him a nice shelter.â His voice was more stern now, like his decision for you to come with him was law. You desperately wanted to fight back for godâs sake your baby was out there in the cold with god knows what creatures trying to eat him! How could you just relax and stay inside and search for him after school?! But part of you knew deep down⊠That this search was useless.
You exhaled a breath you didn't even know you were holding in making your lungs feel light as your shoulders sagged.
âAlright⊠Are you sure I can stay during practice though..?â You asked not wanting to intrude, you'd never attend any of your brother's practices so you were convinced it would be awkward. What if the team hated you for intruding on their sacred intimate meet up where they practiced tossing balls?!
âYeah it'll be fine, a bunch of fangirls always show up, and sometimes a few volleyball enthusiasts come in here and there, I'm friends with the captain too. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you being there as long as you're not disturbing practice.â He paused examining you before he gave you that signature teasing smirk, his hands dropping from your shoulders to his sides.Â
âAnd hey you're too shy to stand out or do something that would distract the team from playing so you're safe, just don't anger the fangirls.â The third year warned looking up above your head as if he was having flashbacks from the war he wasn't even alive to live through.
You nodded trying to put an end to his traumatic flashbacks that were somehow telepathically making their way to your brain, as you imagined the type of things these girls would do if you breathed the wrong way. You already had a bad experience with most of these girls at the start of the year which resulted in you struggling to make friends with anyone, it's hard to believe people can be so mean in their first year already who knows what they'd do in their later years.Â
The both of you started walking towards the volleyball gym as you prayed that Blueberry would be safe and not hungry- what if he was hungry-? No⊠even though you had your doubts and worries you had to be optimistic and believe in your tiny friend⊠he was dumb yeah⊠but you hoped his sassy attitude would keep him alive, who knows maybe he secretly had the survival instincts of his great ancestors the dinosaurs. This wishful thinking was what kept you calm.
âMorning Kita.â Ryota greeted the grey haired second year who was already there early, you stepped away from behind your brother to make yourself visible to your upper classmate and offer him a mumbled greeting hoping your presence wouldn't bother him.
âGood morning Ryota-san,â Kita greeted your brother with his usual robotic tone before turning to look at you, âAnd who's this Ryota-san?â
âAh- this is my sister, Y/N,â He gestured towards you with his hands, âShe came in early with me so I thought she could stay here during practice while she waited for school to start.â
âOh, good morning Y/N, it's a pleasure to meet you.â His flat tone was intimidating but you could tell it wasn't out of malice.
âGood morning Kita-san⊠the pleasure is all mine.â You replied quietly mustering up a friendly smile, it was a struggle to smile with how things were right now.
You started heading toward the bleacher after getting your formalities done, sitting in the far corner hoping you'd be forgotten and unseen by the rest of the team who were yet to come. You didn't want to be rude but frankly you weren't in the mood for introductions or morning greetings. You put your earphones in as you chose some mood appropriate emo worthy songs, pulling out your sketchbook where you tried to doodle your sadness away.
It didn't take long before the rest of the team filed into the gym, stretching and getting warm ups done before they started playing to prevent injuries.Â
âMorninâ Suna.â Osamu greeted his friend who had already changed his shoes while he and his brother started taking them off.
âMorningâŠâ Suna mumbled back checking something on his phone before putting it away to prepare for training.
âYouâre never gonna believe what happened this morning Suna!â Atsumu exclaimed enthusiastically, his body vibrating with energy as he jumped up from the floor, almost falling over with his fingers still in his sports shoes as he tried to put them on quickly.
âDid you blow up the microwave again?â Suna asked with a ragebaitable smirk.
âHuh?! No!â The blonde yelled finally standing up properly after his shoes were successfully worn. He calmed down, opening his mouth to tell him about the bird that had appeared in their home, but Osamu beat him to it.
âSome blue bird showed up at our house this morninâ.â
âHey I was gonna say that!â
Osamu just shrugged, finally standing up having gotten his shoes on.
Suna had an amused expression on his face, âIts blue?â
âYeah we think he's a runaway, he came in with a sweater too.â
Suna was even more amused. It didn't show on his face but the thought of a blue bird in a tiny sweater showing up at your house one morning seemed quite funny.
âAnyways he's ours now.â Atsumu added like it was a known fact now.
Osamu was taken aback; he didn't expect his brother to take ownership of a bird who clearly belonged to someone else.
âUntil we find his owner.â He corrected his brother.
âNuh uh he's our new pet now, his owner clearly doesn' love him enough if he could lose him that easily.
âIts hard to believe his owner doesn't love him when he made a tiny sweater for him.â Suna butted in.
The two boys started arguing like they usually did with Suna standing off to the side adding occasional comments increasing the fuel to the fire.
Ryota noticed the commotion from a far and paused the training he was carrying out to chew them out.
âHey! Miyas! Cut it out or you'll be warming benches next match!â The vice captain barked at them from across the gym before they could start getting physical.
They quickly froze up knowing he wasn't messing around. He started approaching them, stopping a few feet away and crossing his arms, posed up like a dad.
âLook you guys Iâve just gotten a text from the captain that he won't be making it today because he's sick which means as vice captain im incharge, were going to be doing some serves then weâll move onto three v three matches, so I better see you doing some warming up and less bickering?â Ryota instructed sternly.
âYes sir.â The twins mumbled in shame while Suna nodded quietly.Â
Training went on with no further trouble with the whole team putting in their all for the upcoming match they had. Mid way through the training session a dozen or so fangirls started filing. It surprised you quite a bit to see these girls diligently come in so early in the morning to gawk at their crushes, giggling and cheering for the boys. You weren't one to judge but you'd much rather be in bed if you could right now, so if there ever was a day where you'd be some place early in the morning to see a crush he'd have to be some sort of hotshot. You tried ignoring them for the most part, taking your brother's warning very seriously. Though it seemed you were more noticeable than you thought you were. While you were scribbling away drawing some fruits you felt someone tap your shoulder, turning around to see who it was your heart dropped, it was one of those crazy fangirls what did she want from you? Was she going to kill you for being here? Did you need to ask them for permission beforehand to stay here?! You took out your earphone, mentally writing your will in case things went south.
âHey I've never seen you here before, what's your name?â the girl sweetly asked⊠too sweetly⊠its probably a trap you told yourself.
âUm im Y/N, Y/N L/N.â Surly including your last name would let her know you're related to Ryota which could potentially save you from execution via the wrath of fangirls.
âOh my god! you're related to Ryota-kun?!â she gushed. Bullseye you were safe now, although it was kind of rude how she used your brother's first name like she knew him personally but you'd let it slide if it secured your survival.
âYeah I am.â you chuckled awkwardly hoping this awful interaction would end soon.
âGuys this girl is Ryota-kuns sister!â She exclaimed to the other girls it was loud enough for the whole entire gym to hear.Â
It was like time froze, the sound of balls bouncing stopped for a good few seconds. The fan girls giggled and gushed as they bumbared you with questions about your brother and some of his other team mates, you looked over to see your brother giving you the type of salute a dead shoulder would get at their funeral.
freaking traitor
After you were interrogated with questions that couldn't even be answered and what felt like hours, training finally came to an end. Your jerk of a brother decided that he finally had the guts to help you. He walked up to where you were sitting and cleared his throat.
âHey ladies, trainings up and the teams gotta clean up.â Trying to hint at them leaving.
âOh Ryota-kun! We can help you clean up!â one girl announced on behalf of the other girls who nodded in unison.
âUmâŠâ Ryota shrinked with the other players groaning, that's when Kita stepped forward calmly taking control.
âThanks for the generous offer, but that won't be needed. You may leave now.â He said ever so calmly.
A sad sigh left all the girls as they picked up their things to leave, even they knew there was no arguing with the future captain of the team. The other guys including you held your breaths as the last girl finally left.
âThanks man, I don't know what I would have done without you.â Ryota slumped forward in relief, thanking Kita for saving the day.
âThese fangirls are gettinâ real annoyinâ lately.â Atsumu groaned as he stretched his arms over his head.
âYeah but I'd rather stay alive than confront them.â Ryota countered.
âYouve got a point but its reached a point where its become unbearable especially when theyâre coming in so early, its nice to have support but practices donât need this type of pressure.â Aran added while mopping the floor.
The team split up into two, with the first years and half the second years mopping the floors, and the third years and the rest of the second years putting away volleyball equipment in the storage area.Â
With classes about to start, you started packing away your things so you could leave for class, who knows maybe just maybe Blueberry would miraculously be in the school courtyard or in the area between the gym and the main building waiting for you to find him. If you were hopeful enough maybe youâll find him now and all your stress and anxiety would finally be gone, you'd scold him for a bit of course, not out of malice but out of fear and worry. This wishful thinking was what got you hastily walking towards the gym door without paying attention to your surroundings.
âEh! Hey! Watch where yer goinâ! Idiot!â Atsumu yelled, feeling someone who he presumed to be his brother Osamu bump into him, so imagine his embarrassment when he turned around and saw you, not his brother. His expression immediately turned dumbfounded he just called you an idiot! And you're vice captain Ryota's sisters! Heâs sure to kill him now!
Your day was already crappy and now this?
âIâm sorry-â all that optimism left your body immediately and the hurtful emotions came crashing down all at once, it felt crushing, like it would suffocate you at any moment. Your lips trembled, god why were you so emotional all of a sudden, you're not a cry baby but with Blueberry missing and that unknown feeling of not knowing what was happening to him heightened your sensitivity.
Atsumu could clearly sense you were about to burst.
âH-hey I didn't mean that I thought you were âsamu, please donât cry!â Atsumu was this close to begging on his knees. The last thing he needed was Ryota beating him up for making his sister cry or something. Ryota might not be as scary as Kita but that didn't mean he wasn't scary at all.
âI-I'm not gonna cry-.â You said defensively your voice shaking as you frowned desperately trying to hide your expression.
âHey what the hell did ya do âtsumu!â Osamu hit his brother with the stick end of his broom.
âOuch! Cut it out! She just bumped into me. I thought she was you!â Atsumu tried defending himself desperately, rubbing the top of his head to soothe the sharp pain caused by the broom, before turning back to look at you.
Now that he was taking a closer look at you, you were quite pretty- it was the quiet type of beauty that didn't demand attention. The type of beauty you could look at forever without being too intimidated. The way your hair was tied into two cute little pig tails and the way your bangs swooped right above your eyes, and your eyes oh so pretty like stained glass, and with how tears filled them they looked like hot syrup. Oh right- he needed to fix things or else he'd have to pick out his casket.
âI'm really sorry yer not an idiot I promise-.â Atsumu clarified once again thinking his words had hurt you, but that wasn't the truth, any other day you would have shrugged it off and went on with your day but right now you were super stressed and anything was a good enough excuse to have the water works start. Not being able to trust stability you quickly rushed off towards the gym exist wiping your eyes with the sleeve of your sweater to try and stop tears from escaping.
The cold air was like a slap to the face compared to the much warmer inside of the gym but you didn't look back you forced yourself to march forward to run as much as you legs could handle, you needed to find Blueberry, you needed to have hope or else you'd start crying at the thought of losing him. He was your partner in crime, the one who'd push pencils off your desk as a game, the one who'd sit on your shoulder like some sort of pirate watching you study, the one who'd get himself tangled up into your hair for warmth but end up stuck and screeching for help.
You couldn't live without him, you were already alone as it was and without him life would just be too unbearableâŠ
You helplessly roamed around the school courtyard calling out his name, you didn't care if people saw you and thought you were crazy. Your classmates didn't like you anyways so who cares what they think of you now as you scream a random fruit out into the open like some sort of insane witch.Â
â-----
âHuh? Where'd Y/N go?â Ryota asked in confusion as he approached the group of boys who were cleaning up the gym while he was in the supply closet.
Atsumu immediately tensed up his shoulders rising like he was preparing for impact.
âO-oh? Y/N? She left a few moments ago.â Atsumu stuttered.
Ryota paused for a second, he thought you'd wait for him so he'd walk you to class, but knowing you, you were probably outside trying to find Blueberry in hopes he'd flown to the school.Â
Smart thinking.
He thought.
oh well he'd meet you during lunch.
âAlright then boys were all done for this morning, there's still afternoon practice so make sure to show up we've got an important game this weekend.â Ryota informed the youngsters, not noticing the way Atsumu let out a sigh that caused Suna to chuckle.
The boys quickly dispatched, saying their goodbyes and making their ways out of the gym.Â
â------
By the time you entered your classroom you were already drained, not only were you searching frantically around the school in hopes Blueberry decided to pursue an education but in the end you didnât find him and now youâve given the popular students some fault for gossip, your day couldnât be getting any worse.
you melted into your seat tiredly taking out your books for the lesson, they hit your table with a dull thud drowned out by the sounds of students chattering. Normally during this time, the few minutes before the teacher came in to start class, friends would chatter, sharing details about their mornings and catching up on things they missed out on from each other from the day before. Everyone was mingling, everyone but you⊠Ever since you'd started here your classmates made it a point to exclude you, your lack of a kansai accent labeled you as an outsider to them, they'd grown up here, known each other since middle school and some even before that. You stuck out like a sore thumb, and it's not like you didn't try to make friends, you did, But the girls here were super mean, they were even meaner in groups. When you threw in the towel, and defeatedly tried to befriend the opposite gender in hopes they'd be easier to befriend, you were labeled a some sort of boyfriend stealer trying to whore around by the girls, and so both boys and girls refused to even acknowledge your presence, unless it was to humiliate and bully you when they were hungry for gossip.Â
You sat there pretending to be busy, opening your text book and faking reading it. It was less embarrassing that way, it'd make you look like less of a loner if you pretended to be the one who didn't want to interact with others, not the other way around.
Soon the bell rang signalling the first period and the teacher finally made his way in.
FinallyâŠ
You never thought there would be a day where you were thankful for class starting without further delay. Just a year ago when you were still in middle school you'd groan internally wherever class started on time, now things were different all you wanted to do was be as far away from these horrible people as possible, and the sooner the class starts the sooner it'll end and the faster you'll get out of here.
â-----
The first year volleyball player had barely made it into their class in time, they'd entered right before their teacher came in. Part of their delay was mostly blamed on Osamu who had forced his brother and friend to wait for him as he tried buying a snack from the school vending machine that proceeded to get stuck and led to the three boys trying to force the bag of cursed chips out the machine.
They hurriedly sat in their seats so they'd avoid a horrid scolding from Mr Junpei who hated tardiness, Atsumu aggressively went through his abused book bag praying he hadn't forget to bring his text book for the class, Suna hid his phone so that the old man wouldn't snatch it from him like he did last time (Suna literally shivers remembering how he had to survive a week without his phone, he hugs it tight before going to sleep every night now) and Osamu was shoving the chips quickly down his throat before the teacher notices him eating in his scared class and banishes him to a far away land (the principles office).
Mr Junpei gave them a look over squinting his eyes at them in displeasure knowing damn well they'd just arrived, but he didn't say anything further than that causing the trio to sigh in relief (Osamu choked on his food while doing so).
âYou okay âsamu?â the girl next to him whispered in concern, offering him some water to ease the choking. He took uncapping it and chugging down some water to end his misery.
âYeah, thanks Yamamoto.â Osamu thanked the girl, Yamamoto, she had befriended him at the start of the year by offering him some cookies sheâd baked the first week of school. Now they were seat mates. They werenât thick as thieves but she was closer to him than any of his fangirls ever dreamed to be and that was good enough for her.
Class continued as usual with Suna dozing off behind he note book and the twins pacing notes to each other with Yamamoto inserting herself by pacing notes to them as well.
â what do you think mom made for dinner today?Â
Atsumu passed of the folded piece of paper to his brother.
â she said weâd have curry today.
Osamu answered on the same piece of paper and handed it back. Atsumu immediately scribbled something and passed it back again.
â do you think blue flash will still be home when we get back?
Huh?- ohâŠÂ
It took Osamu a good moment get who Atsumu was talking about.
â blue flash?
â yeah thats our birds name now
â he's not ours thoughâŠ
âhe is for now!
âMiyas.â The cold voice of Mr Junpei caused the twins to flinch in sync.
The old man squinted at them, debating on if he should scold them for passing notes
Or make them read the notes out loud to the class.
âFocus on the lesson,â He decided on neither.
âYes sir.â Atsumu said with his brother nodding like they weren't going to go back to passing notes the moment he turned his back to them.
âOh my god!â Yamamoto whisper squealed, âYou two got a pet bird? I love birds!â While Mr Junpei was scolding the pair, she had taken the piece of paper the two had been using to communicate off of Osamu's desk.
Right off the bat Osamu made a face, cause why the hell was she snooping through him and his brothers stuff.
âYes he's super cute and friendly!â Atsumu whisper yelled to her he was way too eager to talk about his âpetâ to anyone who'd listen that he didn't even bother to question why the hell she was all up in their business.
âMaybe I should come over and meet her. I'm really good with birds.â She offered but it sounded more like she'd come over anyways whether they said yes or no.
HerâŠ
The two never thought of the possibility the fuzz ball was a girl, his vibe was more⊠boyish? If that made sense.
Before Osamu could say anything, Atsumu chimed in with a loud and excited yes.
âAtsumu!â
âGah! Sorry sir!â He quickly sat forward in his seat, causing his twin to chuckle and grin at him being scolded.
âââ
âDon't worry little lady, we'll look for him after school.â Katsu gave you a warm comforting smile, he always spoke to you like you were a little child.
Your brother was friends with this group of about 5 guys from his class, you were quite jealous of how easily he made friends when you moved here, at least they were nice enough to let you hang out with them during break.
âYeah and I'm sure weâll find him Y/N heâs probably having the time of his life and making a bunch of new bird friends, who knows maybe heâs joined a gang- or even better formed one himself.â Ryota said in a mock serious voice it made you laugh and for a second you had hopes⊠Maybe he was right. Blueberry might be dumb BUT he isnât that dumb he knew cats and crows were dangerous and was surprisingly a fast flyer, plus youâd taught him how to attack targets (thanks to your jurassic park era). He had basic survival skills and that was enough to put you at ease for a while. for now enjoying this sandwich with your brother and his friends didnât seem like such a bad idea.
âââ-
âBlueberry! BLUEBERRY!â Your voice grew hoarser. It's been about 2 hours since school had ended, two hours of you calling out to what seems like the empty void for your bird. You had ran home once the bell had rang to grab some of Blueberryâs favorite treat box and even some blueberries, shaking the box while calling out like some sort of crazy lunatic. Some old grandma in the neighborhood thought you were selling blueberries and asked for a batch. You had to explain to her that you were indeed not selling blueberries but looking for your missing bird named Blueberry, in which she wished you luck as you walked away in shame. The sun was already starting to set⊠your parents would be worried if you didn't get back soon⊠one family member missing was enough you shouldn't add yourself to that list. Your brother was almost done with practice anyways, he said he'd go searching as well with his friends.
You wanted to keep searching, what if he was just around the corner waiting helplessly for you to bring him home, and frantically squawk about his adventures on the street and how he'd never run away again. Maybe he was in the corner after or the one after that or 10 streets away. It felt like you were betraying him by going home, but the more you called out the more you lost your voice and the harder you tried to yell the more it hurt. As much as it hurt to admit⊠going home was the only option you had. Your blueberries were squished and sweaty from how long you'd been holding them you doubted Blueberry would be willing to have these soggy sad blueberries. All you could do was pray Ryota would have better luck finding him.
â-
âOoo your house is so nice.â Yamamoto commented as she walked in with the Miyas. Osamu couldn't believe she was really serious about coming over, but she was here now there wasn't much he could do now.
The three of them took off their shoes at the entrance. Tweeting and whistling could be heard from the kitchen with Miss Miya talking lively to the source of all the noise.
âWere home ma!â Atsumu called out, he excitedly lead the way to the kitchen wanting to see âblueflashâ
âWelcome home boys-â The Twins mother greeted turning away from the stove only to see an unfamiliar face join her twins. âOh? I haven't seen you before.â She said curiously waiting for the girl to introduce herself.
âI'm Yamamoto Yuki, I'm a friend of the twins maâam.â She smiled politely.
âBlue flash! I missed you!â Atsumu joyfully picked up âblue flashâ and brought him closer to his face who proceeded to hop in his palm matching his excitement then nuzzled his cheek, making Atsumu chuckle boyishly from the ticklish feeling.
âBlue flash? That's quite the bazaar name.â The mother questioned.
âThats exactly what I said.â Osamu crossed his arms.
âAww she's such a cutie!â Yamamoto squealed it was so high pitched it made Osamu and his mother scrunch their noses from the sudden frequency change, they had the same exact expression like they were the twins and not Atsumu and Osamu. But Yamamoto was too distracted to notice their displeasure and bleeding ears.
âShe?â Mama Miya quietly asked her equally annoyed son.
âYeah she's convinced it's a she⊠I mean she could be right, we can't know definitively the gender of⊠âBlue flashâ.â
âYeah but he's definitely giving me boy energy the whole day. He's definitely a boy.â she countered confidently while crossing her arms.
âCan I hold her?â Yamamoto asked Atsumu, already extending her hands out so he could transfer the bird.
âOh um ok.â Atsumu was a little caught off guard having been too distracted with greeting his new friend.
He placed his hands near hers waiting for âBlue flashâ to move to the new pair of hands. But shockingly he didn't. He just stared up at Yamamoto then at Atsumu, a little confused. The girl pushed her hands a little closer trying to gently force the birds feet onto her hands. To that blue berry angrily pecked at her fingers and cried out. Osamu could almost imagine the censored swear words coming out of the tiny bird in speech bubbles. He quickly flew away and perched on Mama Miya's shoulder trying to escape the girl he deemed danger for some reason.
âUm⊠That's weird⊠He was really friendly this morning.â Atsumu stated, causing the bird to grumpily tweet back.
âMaybe something's wrong with her, animals usually love me.â Yamamoto's eyes twitched. She clearly didn't like being rejected by such a tiny creature no matter how hard she tried hiding it. The three Miyas didn't like how she said that and their mother was really starting to dislike this girl. In a shocking turn of events Blueberry flew back perching right on top of Yamamoto making her freeze at the sudden movement.
âAww I guess she's had a change of heart about me.â Yamamoto said feeling very pleased with herself.
Miss Miya sighed and started heading towards the cabinet, dinner needed to be served and watching a bratty girl whine about not getting attention from a bird the size of an apple was getting tiring.
âYamamoto sweetheart, are you going to stay for dinner? Should I serve you a plate?" The mother asked kindly that no matter how much this girl's behavior bothered her, she hasn't done anything outright rude for her to be mean to her.
âSure ill stay-.â Just then blueberry let out a loud satisfied whistle before flying away, one the Miya twins hadn't heard before and one Mama Miya knew all too well by now⊠he usually only lets out such a sound afterâŠ
âEWW!â Yamamoto exclaimed and she wasnât wrong, the shit on her head was undoubtedly very eww worthy.Â
Silence filled the room, and âBlue flashâ unable to read the room (or maybe trying to add more salt to the wound) started squawking proudly. That was it for Yamamoto anger filled her body, the Miyas swore they saw her eyes turn red. (Atsumu took a few steps back and was lowkey scared). Yamamoto turned to face the proud little fluff ball, her eye twitching with fury.
âYou stupid piece of crap! UGH!â She yelled at the comically small creature pointing her finger at him. Blueberry just tilled his head at her sitting there nonchalantly like he didn't just use the poor girl's hair as his personal toilet. Yamamoto was shaking in anger and breathing heavily she looked like she was about to foam at the mouth and with out a word she grabbed her bag and stormed out of the Miya house hold without even saying goodbye (or getting the poop out of her hair)
The three Miyas looked back at her as she stormed off Mama Miya debated on whether she should try calling her back and try cleaning the shit on her head, having felt bad she judged her moments ago.
âI think that's âBlue Flash'sâ way of sayinâ he ainât a girl.â Atsumu said calmly approaching the bird like he hadnât just recreated every humans worst nightmare (being shat on)
âShould we go after her?â Osamu asked, feeling a little bad. Osamu honestly didn't like the girl, she was very nosy and gave off fake vibes but that also didn't mean he didn't view her as somewhat of a friend.
âI do feel a little bad.â the mother sighed, âbut if I'm being honest she wasn't giving off good energy⊠âBlueflashâ must've noticed that too. There's something very off about her.âÂ
âTWEAT TWEAT!â
Blueberry tweeted, flapping his wings like he agreed with the sentiment.
The Miyas fawned and gushed over him, the previous situation being completely forgotten.
â------------
Ryota twisted his keys to the house, opening the door. It was quite late, almost midnight, he was out for hours after training searching for the mischievous bird with his friends. As hours passed though, with no successful find, they each had to call it a night; they still had school tomorrow after all. The moment you heard him enter you jolted out of bed and practically jumped down the flight of stairs. You were expecting to be greeted with the sight of your exhausted brother holding a sleepy blueberry who would be satisfied with his adventure but ready to be back home with you. Instead you were greeted with Ryota's solemn expression.
âI'm sorryâŠâ Was all he could muster.Â
The smile that was on your face due to the false hope had immediately vanished and your shoulders sagged.
âLook, I'm pretty confident someone in the neighbourhood- maybe even the near by town has him. There's no way he wasn't noticed by someone. Me and the guys checked the whole neighborhood and the nearby blocks, alleys- everything we couldn't even find his feathers⊠which means he's not been hunted or eaten.â Ryota said bluntly, eyes heavy with sleep and worry but also determination, âIt also means that blueberry hasn't been outside for too long, someone must've caught him and tomorrow ill go around and ask every household- we could even hang some missing posters.â
His words brought you comfort, through your panic you hadn't thought of such and explanation. You hoped- prayed he was right.
-----
BONUS:
A Few Weeks EarlierâŠ
SQUAK SQUAK!!
âYea! just like that Blueberry!â You cheered on as Blueberry flew into a poster you'd hung on a wall seemingly attacking it.
Said poster was a magazine page you'd ripped out of a teen model, Yamamoto.
The girl had been bullying you for weeks, why she acted so high and mighty genuinely confused you.
Yeah she was popular⊠but it was only because she was modeling for that stupid agency she kept bragging about, people only liked her for that because in your eyes she was a bully who had no redeeming qualities.Â
âNow we're gonna practice our crap attacks, Okay Blueberry?âÂ
âTWEAT TWEAT!â
