I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Stan and Kyle would grow up to look like Matt and Trey.... But i hate that the special is on Paramount+ hopefully they can work a cross stream deal at some point so it's more accessible to everyone cause I know that this is just so Viacom being greedy.

Let's face it, though, Randy and Gerald are incompetent assholes of a parent while Sharon and Sheila actually care about their kids.

Clarification: I meant this in the context of why Stan might not be that emotionally attached to Randy and Kyle to Gerald.

(Sheila is by no means a great mother either, but given that Kyle is more of a mommy's boy, it's understandable that he'd care about her more than Gerald.)

I finally watched the special so here's my usual pros and cons list

Pros:

-no randy, thank God, finally.

-Boys centric episode that feels like one of the older ones that's filled with hijinks.

-the way they handed garrison seemed like the best way to do so they can't exactly kill him off since he's always been a horrible influence integral part of the show

-M&T using their own photos for being "hollywood elite" (what would've made things better is if they put in a "warning" like they did for mormons and scientologists.)

-the lil's q-ties vs Kommunity Kids. Just... It fucking killed me how they care more about the names than what they were doing/ standing up for.

-they really didn't hold any stops against Q-anon people, how they easily fall the most stupidest things and try to find meaning in things that aren't there.

Meh (things I'm not super glad about nor find horrible):

-i know SP takes shots at everyone but was the on field reporter their mouth piece or was it the one in the studio?

Cons:

-i didn't really like the weird infantilization of kenny, i understand that they needed the tension of them not really feeling like friends any more but it's weird how they kinda excluded kenny from the discussion. (It's understandable if kenny is a stand in for betty and Trey is venting through the show again)

-So is garrison "gay" again? I thought it was established that mr.hat was his closeted self. I don't want to touch that with a 10ft pole if that's where they're going since garrison (as a character) is a mess

-you can tell Matt and Trey were struggling to make this episode, they were the only voices used which i imagine would be straining since they most likely would have to have near daily video meetings (which if their doc is factual is much more work than their team is used to) i hope that with the 'broship' storyline it isn't them that's also feeling the friendship burnout.

@behind-the-blow It most likely has to do with the Q-anon conspiracy theories which lead to many political issues during the 2020 elections and helped fuel the fire for the storming of the US capitol building in January.
