The thing about having issues with regulating anger that I wish more people would understand is that getting stuck like that doesn't feel good. I don't like being angry all day for several days in a row. I don't like having to put myself in time out so I won't say something awful. I don't like when I get so mad that my lungs seize up. It's miserable. It's tiring. It physically hurts to be that tense for that long.
And my anger regulation problems are mild. I can only imagine what it's like for people who have the more intense versions.
