Aziraphale silently snapping his fingers when he sees Crowley in Rome is so cute because Ancient Rome was the origin of doing that instead of applauding to indicate happy approval of something.

Nowadays, you're likely probably more likely to see that at poetry readings, within sororities, or between actors workshopping in group settings but, in the 41 AD of Rome, Aziraphale moving his fingers like that is the equivalent of being so happy to see that redheaded crab that he's basically silently clapping with excitement.

Quick question for you lovelies: Does anyone have the ability to read the smaller print on the poster for Rank Shoes near the top of the wall in Maggie's shop in the picture below?

I've been periodically playing around with the metric fuckton of wordplay in the stuff on the walls in Small Back Room & Mr. Arnold's shop and this is the only thing I can't read well enough to take apart. I can't read anything past the homophonic pun-laden 😊"Stole My Sole 2018" line. Thank you. 💕

This is very helpful, thank you! I think it might be "side effort" (euphemistic effort/"bit on the side") but that font either is the same one or is extremely close & that ability to put in possibilities will make it easier to try to decipher the track listing. Based on the setlists on the wall, I think it'll prove relevant enough that it's worth the look. Absolutely nothing on these walls is random. Thanks again. 💕

Fun fact those dry markers were supposed to have water put into them to make them work. You take off the bottom thing and pour water in and bam, instant marker success. Only learned about this four years after I’d lost my set 🙃
