AU where instead of Bruce’s parents being shot and killed leading him to become Batman, it leads him to joins politics and advocates for banning guns. He studies law and protects innocents against criminals, and gets elected to something of something. He becomes a fierce anti-gun politician, using his parents’ death as his fuel and example that guns hurt EVERYONE. He later becomes an advocate for mental health treatment and works to better the conditions in Arkham and city-wide services.

He still adopts other children stricken by tragedies brought on by unjust forces in their lives. Grayson still becomes a cop in Bludhaven, working to take down organized crime. Jason works in mental health and rehabilitation centres. Tim ends up the head of Wayne enterprises and works to better the corporate world for the poor and the environment. Cass works with abused children in the system, also dabbling in the mental health field. Damian grows up as a doctor, helping people at every opportunity.

Basically everyone grows healthily, fueled by their trauma to become stronger, kinder people. Being a vigilante is great and all, saving people and taking down criminals, but they can make stronger, more personal impacts by working the systems and bettering them from the inside.
