Rottmnt AU : AKA âthat one AU where Leo and Don are Dead.â
So Iâve been at it with an AU of mine, which is pretty angsty but, it was a heck of a ride making and developing. Which it still sort of is but most is worked out now. Read on below to learn more about the AU.
Art will be sent later on designs and such, which the only really changed up designs are Leo and Donnieâs.
Just an fyi, Iâll be mentioning death alot on this, so if you donât like that then donât read this.
In short, mission was a complete disaster, they get ambushed, overpowered, and lose two of their brothers in it.
While they went on a mission with his bros, they were outmatched from an ambush. Yet Leo quickly got in the way to get Mikey to safety from a dangerous hit and paid the consequences of it. Getting badly injured on the arms and near the neck and head, being deemed paralyzed. Yet before any of the others could reach him he was put down for good.
When they went on the mission, and they got ambushed, after awhile of fighting he was put in checkmate. Both him and Raphael, werenât too close but pretty far off, Donnie couldâve saved himself but instead decided to send his battle shell over to Raphael to save him, before something was launched at him, a spear like polearm made greatly dense and sent at a high enough speed, it pierced through his plastron then through his chest and out the softshell. He faded out slowly from blood loss and being impaled, the last thing he could hear was his name being called out constantly before he couldnât keep awake and his body gave out.
Mikey and Raph (their reactions and responses)
As Mikey was tossed to safety by Leo, as he tried to turn and thank his bro, yet when he came out of his shell he only saw a struggling Leon on the floor, as he tried running to him he had to witness his brotherâs death right in front of him.
When Raph was this close to getting hit in the head, which wouldâve gave him a concussion and deem him a easy target. Instead he saw Donnieâs battleshell launched right in front of him as it took the hit Instead. Worried, since Donnie was now vulnerable he turned to where he saw his brother in purple last just to see him get impaled by the polearm. He was able to get to him, as he tried calling out his name as many times as possible. He broke down when he felt Donatelloâs temperature go cold.
After they finally retreated with the bodies of their fallen brothers, they took them both and wanted to keep them close so they buried them within the lair.
A month or so after their deaths was when Leo woke up, he wasnât aware of in all reality him being dead. He woke up in the common area instead of his room. And when he looked down he kind of freaked out, his body looked so sickly pale and random blue flowers bloomed on him. To add to that, half of his body was inside the floor.
Yet when Donnie awoke, all he really felt was an emptiness in his chest, which apon examination of his own body was also halfway through the ground. He soon hopped up and landed on stumbling feet which he had to grow accustomed to.
The two talked for who knows how long until two other turtles entered the common area. Mikey and Raph at first both screamed and freaked out, before Leo attempted to calm them down himself. As everyone got back to knowing each other and the red and orange turtles found out that somehow, Leo and Donnie were alive once more, well as alive as they could get. It made them both happy, knowing their bros werenât as gone as they were before from that incident in the past.
Leonardoâs âphysicalâ form
When heâs in his physical form and you pluck off the flowers on him they just bloom back but mostly in different places, yet say it was spring or summer lots of flowers would pop up on him, if it was winter or fall less would show up.
If this form bleeds, it would be a sparkly and glittery blue.
Heâs easy to find if he wanders off or is playing hide and seek. Since wherever he goes he always leaves a trail of blue flower petals behind him.
Leo can better prank Mikey and Raph tho, he can just peak outta a wall whenever
Although heâs a big idiot and forgets heâs still standing within the wall at times and when he tries going back to his physical form gets stuck.
Donatelloâs âphysicalâ form
Leoâs appearance is way nicer than how Don looks, who has a visible hole through his plastron/chest/shell
He also leaves a trail behind him. But his trail is of ash Instead.
If he bleeds in this form, it would be a almost toned out dark purple.
Random scars and burn marks appear on his body, some are stuck being there permanently (the ones on his snout, shoulder, and neck) while the rest appear depending on moods, the more negative he feels, the more and more scars and burns show. Yet if heâs positive enough most of the scars and burns wonât be there.
Things to know about the physical form
The forms I gave them, switch between physical and a actual ghostly kinda form.
Their physical forms CAN bleed. But not actual blood.
And if their physical form gets damaged too much theyâll have to sit out in the other form til it recovers.

Don : Youâre an absolute idiot, you know that?
Leo : OH GOD IâM BLIND! CALL AN AMBULANCE!
Don, plucking the flowers away from Leoâs eyes : itâs just flowers you twat.
