Summary:
It wasn't that Eddie didn't want to see him again, he did. He really, really, did. Eddie hadn't been able to stop thinking about him since that night.
They didn't do anything that night but talk, but Evan "Buck" Buckley—as he later revealed, three beers into the evening—had been a permanent fixture of his dreams ever since.
So, it wasn't a matter of not wanting to see him again. It was more the matter that whatever bravery that allowed him to step through the doors of Inferno those three long weeks ago, had long since scurried out of his chest and hid away in a hole he'd yet to find.
Instead, Eddie buried himself into settling in Los Angeles. In the three weeks since he'd first met Buck, Eddie had finally gotten Chris enrolled in school—it wasn't the school he wanted but it would work until he could decipher the paperwork sitting on his dresser.
He'd finally closed on the house he'd bought for him and his son. A silent promise to Chris that Los Angeles would be home forever.
And the days quickly ticked by, and before he knew it, the pages of the calendar had ripped away to his first day at the Los Angeles Fire Department, Station 118.
love castiel as a character because he feels no emotions for the first kajilion years of his existence and all of a sudden he can feel things now and his first two emotions are queer longing and catholic guilt. literally who else is doing it like him
Nothing wrong with religious or traditional views, but I think the way he articulated some of his points was just downright weird. Overall seems like a weird interview, and again nothing to do with the religious overtones, just seemed a bit odd between the way the interviewer worded some questions and the way he answered
i think they were using the language they were comfortable with. but also its not weird to be a traditional person and word your questions/answers with traditional language. anymore than its weird to ask questions about queer genders/queer relationships using the language that validates their experiences. the women/men they were referring to in every question were those in their community, thus they used the language that fit.
if that language makes you uncomfortable thats fair, you're allowed to have your negative experiences with that language/rhetoric. but that doesn't make it untrue for him.
