So we got this cute line of fabric in the shop and I knew I was gonna make something with it.

So I got 8 fat quarters and matched up a bolder Toscana for the accent and took them home.

Cutting took no time at all, I can cut eight layers of fabric at once and they were all getting cut the same way.

Unlike strip piecing you don’t cut, sew, subcut, sew again, and then possibly subcut and sew again. These blocks are all made individually because you have to match two fabrics together and add the accent in as well.

Popup is so fast. I think I started cutting at noon and I had all sixteen blocks laid out by 4pm.

Took a small break to make some supper and apple crisp, then went back in the evening to sew the blocks together and add the borders.

I deviated from the pattern here though and used the coordinating border print with mitered seams.

And then I waited for the dogs to put themselves to bed (which was 9pm, like usual) and drove into the shop and threw this sucker on the long arm!

I got home to put the binding on and went to bed at 2am.

How do I explain to you people that interracial relationships are okay

Not every white person dating a POC is fetishizing. White people can be respectful and responsible when it comes to culture and relationships and not everyone has bad intentions.

Asian people can date Black people without you saying shit like “your kids will be so pretty” they’re not dating for pretty kids. They’re dating bc they like each other.

Someone can dress their partner in clothing from their culture if they want. Someone can take their partner to cultural events if they want.

People in relationships can share cultures, experiences and love without it being toxic or skin deep.

Their partner isn’t culturally appropriating. Their partner is being shown the ultimate form of love, bc their partner trusts them and loves them enough to share their history and heritage.

Yeah, dating someone from your culture is nice bc you automatically have similar experiences. But you’re not limited to dating people with the same experiences. Loving someone is sharing and growing and being together.

Interracial relationships aren’t always toxic, and some of y’all need to stop projecting onto other people.

As of TODAY Twitch has quietly added the Generative Ai Training model into your account without your permission.

For the time being it is TOGGLEABLE and you can TURN IT OFF!

However, we do not know if Twitch will force this to be on at all times like some other platforms, like X/Twitter, have previously done.

Regardless of IF YOU STREAM OR NOT you should TURN THIS "TRAINING FOR GENERATIVE AI" SETTING OFF IMMEDIATELY!

To do so you must go to: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/security

And then scroll all the way down near the bottom.

There you'll find the "Training for Generative Ai" setting, toggle it to OFF!

Be sure to keep sending messages to Twitch that you do NOT want this to exist.

And another reminder that if you do stream on Twitch, like I do, you should start preparing you and your audiences to migrate elsewhere ASAP.
