Some experimental photography art stuff. Trying something new! I'm not a religious person, but I find much of the religious art in my area to be interesting photography subjects.
This whole collection of photos started with the photo of the Saint Anthony statue, which is something I pass often on the street. In person, the statue is alone on the corner of an intersection, kept in by a fence and surrounded by a garden of hedges and bushes of flowers. At the foot of it are two smaller figures of angels, one on either side. At night the statue is lit by two lamps pointed upwards at Saint Anthony and the divine child. I've always found the front-upward angle of the lighting to be a bit bizarre looking, with the top and back of the statue being left in complete and sharp darkness. Sometimes it feels as though the shadow is swallowing them up, and the light of the divine child is the only think keeping them from being swallowed entirely.
The third subject is one I think about often as well. The miniature version of Jesus the Panhandler, from St-Stephen-in-the-Fields Church. The original full-size fiberglass cast of this statue had quite a journey, being stolen once and even fractured by the winter cold before it was eventually replaced with a more permanent and resilient bronze cast, which sits outside of the church. A cloaked and hunched figure, out of the way and low enough to be ignored by passersby, but if you look closely at the hands of this figure you may notice the stigmata. St Stephen's once had an encampment of homless people on its grounds for two years before the encampment was violently evicted by the city of toronto, as the courtyard was "technically" city property and did not "belong" to the church. Now the area is fenced off and filled with erected concrete blocks to deter any return. The evicted encampment alongside the imagery of the homeless Jesus statue is something that deeply frustrates and saddens me. Perhaps Jesus has an inherent protecting light within him, perhaps he doesn't, but either way in the end all of us are human. We all deserve respect, dignity, and grace.

Not fully written yet, but after a billion trillion years I am FINALLY starting to release some of the chapters of this godforsaken fanfiction. It's mostly oc lore bullshit but I've had a lot of fun fucking around with it. Barely canon compliant to anything and honestly not as in character as it could be either but I don't care anymoreeeeee!!!!!!! Just take it just take it away from me I can't bear to hold onto it alone any longer
Beelzeblade is so so sad and angry and evil and angsty please do not leave him unattended thanks
We here at Tumblr have noticed everyone has very strong feelings about every post on this site being changed to a picture of Lex Luthor from The CW's Smallville with the words "Lex Get Bald Tonight" over it. To this we say: we're listening. we hear you. and we couldn't give a rat's ass what you think. Get out there and start balding.

No safety. No food. No aid. No water. No healthcare. No education. Is this what it means to live? Is this what world accept as life?
If a group of animals were trapped, starved, and cut off from the world like this, people would be outraged. But because it's us—human beings—somehow, the world looks away.
These are unbearable days. Everything feels heavy. Each hour presses on my chest like I’m being suffocated.
My family needs urgent help.
Basic survival has become nearly impossible. Bread—just bread—now costs over $25 a day to make.
We are not asking for luxury. We are begging for life.
Please, if you’re reading this: help. Reblog this post. Talk about us. Donate if you can. Even a small act can mean everything right now.

alt version below the cut
I like to think that when they get startled, they’d instinctively transform into their alt modes like turtles or pangolins cuz they’re much more compact and sturdy and smaller targets 😌 also maybe possibly I am secretly a sucker for bloominglegumes’s jazterwave stuff so I wanted to make something with them too 🙄 but I’ll never tell. Also this is my first time drawing Jazz, so I hope it’s good for the Jazz fans out there
@in1-nutshell you gotta write something about this it's so cute 😭😭🙏
Did you know that the very first assembly of photographs in sequential order to create a motion picture was a two-second clip of a Black man on a horse? Yes, it was. Yes, it was. Look it up.
