Secret Santa 2018

Merry Christmas, everybody! 

I apologize for my lack of activity. The holidays are a busy time of the year, for sure, but I hope this was worth the wait! 

This is my entry for Radical Momo’s Secret Santa event for 2018. This is L’arachel riding her Rapidash getting ready to fight the legendary Pokemon, Yveltal -- the form that Fallen Robin takes in this world!

I received several messages asking about the brushes I use / how I colour, so here are my brush settings and the colouring processes of two of my shading styles using these settings! (feat. Klein fire emblem)

They’re like my jack-of-all-trades brushes and I adjust the edge shape (the four icons in the top row) and the density according to how I want to use them.

Some notes:

I did all of these in normal layer mode but you’re encouraged to experiment with various layer modes (like multiply for shading, screen/overlay for lighting) to make your life easier

If you’re concerned about tidiness, you can draw on a large canvas and shrink the piece down later

Hey, guys! Sorry for my absence; I’ve been sick and absorbed in other projects. 

Today’s FEH Sprite is Ventus from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep! Wait... why is Pikachu on his arm? Hmmmmm... Is this another foreshadowing to a bigger project?

Yes, I did free hand Pikachu, and I did try to make him in the FEH style, but it didn’t come out as I had planned. Anyone have any tips that could help? Perhaps I should sketch Pikachu at a higher quality? Any info would be appreciated! 

And yes, the reference I used was from the Pokemon Explorer Dungeons. XD

And today’s FEH Sprite is Inigo! .... Puppet? 

I made this for the FNAF story... that I never got around to doing. ^^’ Inigo was supposed to star as the Puppet and Balloon Boy (since I was going to put on a FNAF play). So this is his costume for the Puppet. Balloon Boy was never finished, sadly, but I’m still quite pleased with how this came out! Granted... the blue looks kinda weird... *squints suspiciously*

Ta-da! Another FEH Sprite Edit! 

This time it’s Neku Sakuraba from the game “The World Ends With You”! I adjusted his outfit to look like he was actually in the Fire Emblem Heroes game.

If he could be summoned as a Hero, I imagine he would be red mage/infantry. His primary weapon would no doubt be a Pin of some sort, and he would come with the offensive skill “Rising Flame.” I think he would be a balanced unit more or less, but speed be his highest attribute (granted this is likely to change). Those are just my thoughts. :) 

I also heard “The World Ends With You” has been released for the Switch! How exciting! I love that game! I highly recommend it! 

PS: Could this picture be a foreshadowing of a bigger project?

Hey, guys! Guess who did a FEH sprite edit? 

This is Morgan if he were the son of Libra and (female) Robin! 

I’m quite pleased of how it turned out! Of course there are a few changes I would make, looking back on it. Perhaps I will do some adjustments in the future. 

I tried to go for the look he had in the chapter you get him in (in FE: Awakening), but with a few tweaks. I made him have white clothes instead of blue, and I tried to give a sense of who he is via his outfit before you even talk to him.  

What do you guys think? What kind of changes could be made that could improve this piece?

Shigure has been rescued! Yea! 

Sequel to this! 

Azura and Kamui were worried sick about their son being Valter’s captive. Luckily, Ryoma was able to pull off a successful rescue mission. Don’t worry. Shigure is alive, just exhausted. Way to save the day, Big Brother Ryoma!

Edit: I deleted the story because I felt like it took away from the picture (it was also awful). 

I wanted to make a dramatic scene, and I have to say that I’m quite proud of how the picture came out! 

And, yes! Takumi is in his Swordmaster uniform. It took me FOREVER to complete it! I love how it turned out... and we get to see Takumi’s hair down. XD

If you notice something that can be improved in the picture, let me know (also keep in mind that I don’t know Valter very well; the only info I have on him is what I see in FEH and from the FE community).
