Fates Woven in Shadows follows five characters--Eurdyn, Aurelian, Andee, Lucy, & Haizley--as they struggle with accepting or defying the fates they have been tied to; all while trying to find a murderer who is targeting beings who have escaped from a facility known as the Hospital. Eurdyn and Haizley being two of the escapees and their friend Noella being a victim.

Stolen Roses follows Sylvie and Eve as they try to find each other as well as their mother in the Silverwood--a magical forest home to all sorts of mystical creatures and beings. The same forest that stole their mother years ago and that has now entangled both sisters in trying to find a way to heal the forest before it's too late for them all.

i stopped giving a shit about "legit" purchases of digital products after i spent $80 on the entire Dark Horse collection of Trigun/Trigun Maximum ebook mangas, learning that I only got access to reading them through a proprietary website ereader function, couldn't download them, and couldn't get a refund, and then literally only a year later, getting an e-mail stating that Dark Horse was shutting down that part of their company and I wouldn't even be able to read them anymore. Fuck that

Pirate shit. Don't feel bad for it. It's not "your fault" that artists, independent or otherwise, can't make a living. You downloading an album or ebook for free isn't the cause of the problem. The cause is capitalism, plain and simple, and pirating is a lucky loophole that will companies are still trying to stomp out.

call me terminally academia-brained but i do think a lot of the fun of character analysis is figuring out how to build a compelling argument for a particular reading using lines of evidence from canon as well as meta/intertextual support

and you could say that what i’m saying here is basically “a lot of the fun of doing character analysis is doing character analysis” but let’s be real a lot of fandom character analysis is pretty heavily vibes-based. and i think that’s where i really chafe up against the traditional thought-terminating fandom attitude of like, everyone’s opinions hold equal weight and any interrogation of that is inherently hostile. because i think it’s fascinating to dig into where others are coming from in terms of their views on characters or dynamics or whatever, especially when they differ significantly from more commonly expressed views, and part of that digging is asking people okay what parts of canon are you drawing from to support your opinion? what parts of canon are you disregarding or downplaying? how does this argument hold up in the light of how race, gender, class, ability, etc. operate both in the piece’s in-fiction and real world contexts?

there's something so hypnotic about the teenage girl characters who force themselves to think, 'this is what happy feels like' as guilt avoidance. the ones criticized by the fandom for their selfishness, their manipulation. she who survives by obedience and deference to power, lest that power turn on her.

she who must always blame others because the guilt would overtake her otherwise

she who smiles and laughs through a brilliant, opulent life and believes that ephemeral pain will eventually lead to everlasting success

she who burns out like a star and just skirts the edge of knowing it

she who chases a life of stable perfection (oxymoron)

and she who wants it to end, deep down. but who just don't know anything more. because she indulges and loves her life best she can. because it is better than imagining how much pain she's caused if she was WRONG.

Is it okay to use the same word twice in the same paragraph? Because I literally can't think of another way to say 'mouth.'

Yes. Please use nouns and pronouns as often as you need to.

The best way to use a word less is not to replace it with another word, but to just find reasons not to use it again. If you introduce the subject noun at the right time, readers can assume you're still talking about the same thing within the same paragraph.

Fear of using normal words too often is how we end up with eyes being renamed "orbs."
