Hello! 👋

I'm Starry, writer of way too many fanfics in way too many fandoms, resident Fox and Ahsoka enthusiast, and a semi-professional lurker.

This blog mainly exists because yapping at my readers in my AO3 comment section apparently wasn't enough to scratch my itch, so I decided to scream into the Tumblr void instead.

What you'll find on this blog:

Mostly writing updates, snippets, and character rambles for a plethora of different fandoms.

The occasional reblog of art and headcanons whenever I feel social enough to crawl out of my lurking corner (I'm usually very shy and private).

Expect lots of Commander Fox, the Coruscant Guard, and entirely too many clone OCs.

Talking to Fox feels like you're banging your head against a wall, and it actually makes you want to commit the deed once Fox decides the conversation is over.

Poor Thire is experiencing this phenomenon firsthand right now. Everyone else has already decided to give up. Thire, however, has decided the solution is to get a detonator and blow the wall sky-high.

Unfortunately, he has not considered the shrapnel, nor the fact that he is standing roughly two feet away from the explosion.

Character Profile #1 Feathertouch

🪽✨ FEATHERTOUCH APPRECIATION POST ✨🪽

Everyone say hello to Feathertouch! The Guard's medic (much to his eternal suffering. You may also call him enabler of a lot of bullshit. You wouldn't be wrong!) He is competent. He has been trained. Basically, he knows what he's doing!

The problem? His expertise has not stopped the troopers under his care from making his job about 500% harder.

Because Feathertouch’s greatest enemy is not injury.

It is this sentence:

“I’m completely fine.”

Because no.

No, you are most likely not fine.

You are standing upright. That is not the same thing as being medically cleared.

Feathertouch is the guy standing in the corner of the medbay, staring into the middle distance, holding a datapad, and wondering why his brothers keep thinking that “I’m not actively falling apart” is a valid reason to return to duty.

His medical philosophy is simple:

✨ You have a brain. (Even if there are only two braincells floating around in your cerebrospinal fluid.) ✨ You have free will. (Sorta.) ✨ Unfortunately, I cannot stop you from using either of those things incorrectly.

(He would like it noted that this is NOT permission. This is him accepting defeat.) Because at the end of the day, Feathertouch knows he cannot (and should not) make every decision for the people under his care.

He has adapted his bedside manner accordingly:

🪽 deep sighs, eye-rolls and sarcasm 🪽 explaining exactly why your injury was predictable 🪽 fixing said injury anyway because apparently he is the only responsible person here 🪽 the obligatory "I told you so" and "You better listen next time" (they never do)

A direct quote:

“You’ve disrupted my workflow for long enough. So. Go eat. We’ll see if it ends up being a meal or concrete.”

He is the kinda guy who patches you up while grumbling about your terrible life choices.

Guess who’s back once again for our 3rd year! Crazy how fast we’ve gotten here and we are so excited to host it again! I know I’ve said this before, but it is truly wonderful how so many people participated in last year’s Corrie week. There is so much talent and skill out in the world and we hope you can join us once again❤️

We’re starting a bit earlier than last year and we now have prompt submissions open! With this we would love to poll your ideas in sooner, and if you’ll be joining us, allow for any preparations, clarifications, and questions to be cleared up well before the event week. (Our Ask box should be open and working now!)❤️

The dates for this year will be October 4th to October 10th

As always- we know October is a busy season for creatives so please if you can join in during the week we would love to have you! If you can’t though don’t be discouraged, we always take submissions past the event’s end. Just make sure to tag this blog and use our yearly tags!

Fox is such a frustrating little gremlin.

I love him dearly, but writing him can be so draining. Imagine being this catastrophically negative all the time. No wonder the man is permanently grumpy.

Like, Fox. Buddy. My beloved disaster. I love you, but I am currently fighting the urge to reach into my Ellipsus doc and strangle you.

This whole chapter is just one giant error message followed by a reboot to factory settings.

I swear every other paragraph goes:

Fox: *interprets the situation in the least charitable way possible*

Me: "No, buddy..."

Fox: *doubles down, somehow finding a way to make things seem even worse*

Me: *baffled* "How? And WHY?!"
