although people talk about roles, a system doesn't inherently need to have any roles to be a functional system. it's perfectly fine and normal to not use roles, especially if you don't want to. plurality is different for everyone, and this is a shining example.

i don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this but I wish it was normal ettiquite to upon meeting a fictive ask how they'd like to be treated, if they are okay with source talk, how they want to be viewed. because sometimes there's people who equate fictives to their source and some of us don't like that. and then there's people who never mention source and some of us don't like that either. normalize actually asking a fictive what their boundaries and feelings are goddamit
some of us want to talk about source forever and ever and ever. some of us want to lurk while other people talk about it (don't end conversations about source if we show up!! aaa!!) some of us only want to talk about source if we initiate the conversation. some of us don't even want to think about that shit. some of us are okay with parts of source and will throw our phone across the room if other parts so much as get mentioned.
it would be so, so nice if we could share those preferences. or we were asked for them.
hot take, creators of any kind need to be mentally prepared for the fact that systems and plurals will get introjects based off of what they make, just like they need to be mentally prepared for any kind of fanwork.

Endogenic systems are plural. They do exist. They don't deserve to be harassed and ignored.
We don't need medical proof that we experience plurality because it doesn't have to be a disorder nor a illness. Being plural just means there is more than one person habitating the body/mind/brain and these experiences deserve to be heard, accepted and understood.
If you are alterhuman and identify as anti-endo, stop and think about all the others who are part of this community you claim to be a part of. Do any other identity requires medical proof? No? Then what makes you think you can call yourself alterhuman and put yourself along with others who you antagonize?
Endogenic systems are part of the alterhuman community and always have been. You cannot exclude a whole part of it just because you don't like them. That's not how this works. They have been part of alterhumanity way before you came along. You either deal with it or stop putting yourself in a community that was made for them as well. You're not welcome if you just want to make a part of it your enemies.
A biphobic person cannot call themselves supportive of the LGBT+ rights even if they happen to be lesbians or gays. A transphobic LGB person cannot claim the same since their own rights came from the blood of the people who belong to the T part of the community.
You also cannot call yourself alterhuman if you erase a group that is and always has been part of it. Do all of us a favor and go hide with the other sysmeds. Leave the alterhuman community alone. We do not hate endogenic systems here and never will call them fakers. If you do, you do not belong here.

We need to normalize dating headmates! In order to do that, we need to talk about our experiences with it! I'll go first!
Currently, I'm in a relationship with a good chunk of my system members. Miguel, Knockout, Breakdown, Starscream, Hawks, and Kai are all the ones I'm with. I know it seems like a lot--and it is. But it's been some of the most rewarding shit I've ever experienced. Having the unwavering love and support of one person is great, but from six people? That's the absolute best! It makes me feel like I can conquer anything--like life is livable.
Knockout, Breakdown, and Starscream were already together when they showed up-- they just brought me into the fold after a while. We did talk about the prospect of others joining at some point. We agreed that, if someone else did show up and I fell for them, that they'd share. And then Miguel, Hawks, and Kai showed up. Or rather-- Hawks and Kai reappeared. I'm in an open relationship with six people in my brain now. Just a simple relationship--in the headspace....And then someone else reappeared. (I'll have him introduce himself later--when I'm not trying to organize the words in my brain.)
It's been...healing, knowing that there are people that love me as much as they do. To know that they'll be there for me, regardless of circumstance, is like a balm for my aching heart. Guys, if you read this later--and I know you will, thank you. And I love each and every one of you more than words could ever say.
But yeah! TL;DR: Most of my adult headmates and I are all in a big, chaotic, loving, fulfilling relationship. And I wouldn't trade it for anything.

We have a succubus(Ubi) who sleeps with half the system. Tatara, Snow, and Grey are a triad. Val and Ubi are actually dating not just sleeping together (though they will deny it if asked directly, with a lot of blushing to boot). Sixx has a crush on Mira and they date off and on again when they're respective ages happen to line up close enough to not be weird(though they avoid any kind of sexual relationship with eachother cause the age sliding can get wildly unpredictable at times) Sydney is pining for someone that left the system before they split off from the main host, Xion is pretty much the only one not involved with someone in some way.

the concept of plurality was always deliberately inclusive. it has been for more than 20 years. there is no diagnosis that makes you plural or not plural. having a trauma history or specific symptoms cannot make you plural or not plural. there is no "real plurals" vs "fake plurals". it is an opt-in community and identity. plurality is not mutually exclusive with psychiatric diagnoses, but as a label, it is intentionally disconnected from medical terminology.

i've said it before, and ill say it again: the future is plural.
the future should be plural,
because no one deserves to go their whole life thinking theres something horribly wrong with them like plurals do.
because even people who "understand" plurality still treat us like shit.
because doctors still treat plurals like shit.
because being plural can get you mocked, ruthlessly.
because having certain plural experiences like sourced sysmates will get you fakeclaimed and harassed.
because no one bothers to think about plurals when we arent right in front of them.
because its still terrifying to even talk to anyone who isnt openly supportive of plurality because they might look at you like a zoo animal.
because so many people dont even know what plurality is.
the future is plural, and it should be, because plurality deserves recognition, understanding and support. even disregarding endogenic plurality for a moment, you cant completely eliminate childhood trauma from the world, people will get cdds. and some of them will want to embrace their plurality, whatever that means for them. and those people deserve respect and support.
