the idea that transitioning from a woman to a man makes you a worse person is essentially the assertion that the gender of "man" is inherently evil, thereby asserting that men are actually not responsible for their actions - they are simply evil in their nature, uncontrollably and unintentionally.

i see a lot of prejudice towards trans men that ultimately boils down to plain ol' misogyny. if you believe that masculinity, or men, is/are inherently evil in their nature, you are implicitly stating that men cannot be held accountable for their choices. and that's an idea that stems from [patriarchal] misogyny itself; the idea that men are inherently not responsible for the choices they make, while women are.

furthermore, the idea that a woman would want to transition to a man in this viewpoint amounts to the suggestion that this person is inherently at fault for making the choice, since they, not being born a male, are able to be held accountable for their choices, unlike males that are born as men without making a conscious choice to align with that gender. the trans man is responsible for becoming a man because he, at his core, will never be held to the same standards as an "actual" man. cis men are not responsible for their choices to cause harm, but trans men are, because they're not "really" men.

it's just misogyny.
