It's so infuriating to me that some vegan businesses have no clue that they are selling something containing non vegan ingredients 👀👀👀👀 looking at you places that sell shit with animal tested food coloring, bone char sugar, and oreos

Maple syrup - I just read that there is a substance called "defoamer" used during the production, and it can be animal (or chemical, if you care) based!

Yeast - some yeast is fed with shellfish, shrimp, or other "seafood" byproducts.

I took a pregnancy test and later looked it up & their website SPECIFICALLY says it’s not vegan and uses animal products from mice. That’s.... did not know that. Damn.

I’ve never thought about that to be honest but now that you’ve said it that isn’t too surprising, that’s the case with a lot of contraception too. You can get vegan versions of contraception but for pregnancy tests I can’t find one online, it’s an essential product though if ever there was one so if you can’t find an alternative then don’t feel at all bad about relying on one that isn’t vegan friendly.

A gynecologist can do an ultrasound to look for the "gestational sac"; a lot of women do this when they are unsure if they're pregnant based solely on a test. You could just claim you took one and wanted to make sure. You could also explain to them why you want it done and I think they'd do it for you but they might eyeball you or something (less probably if you went to your regular gyn who knows you/knows youre vegan). It's also possible they'd ask you to take a hormonal test while you're there; I guess if they did you could just decline?

I know this isn't the most ideal option for a lot of people but I thought it might be worth mentioning. No clue how much it would cost. If you are low income it may be free if they're a place that does a sliding scale. It will also probably be free or cheap if you have insurance (as a lot of things to do w babies are).

Just wanted to throw this out there that multiple news sources claim the Syrian missiles were launched to destroy chemical weapon factories/other military related shit used to hurt Syrian refugees.(Also the US was not the only one involved) Is that the truth? I surely don't know. Did they really do it for an ulterior motive? Highly likely. And by all means go off about your qualms with the situation. It just seems like some don't know about this portion of the story.

Edit: also, the United States was not the only country involved, for those it matters to.
