In 2011, I stumbled across a compilation of One Direction’s funniest moments, and it completely changed my life. I fell in love with the five boys on the stairs and gained a community that I’ve cherished every day since. They brought me to my best friend, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

I couldn’t believe it when the news broke that Liam had passed away because I couldn’t imagine a world without him in it. He was an integral part of the band that shaped so much of my life, he was an incredibly talented musician, he was my best friend in so many fan fictions, and the world will never be the same now that he’s not in it.

Liam, I’ll love you longer than I knew you, and I hope you find peace, wherever you are.
