For Non-DA prompts, anything and everything will be considered and any resultant story will be posted here, but I likely will probably not work on them until I finish at least one of my Dragon Age longfics.
For Dragon Age prompts, I’m willing to at least try to write anything featuring anyone except Cullen. I don’t do non-con of any variety by request.

One under-appreciated breed of fic writer are the ones who hyperfocus on logistics to the exclusion of all canon shortcuts, and thus usually strike upon an awesome way to flesh out the worldbuilding or characters.
Like, I’m not necessarily talking realism here since often it’s still pretty far from realistic, but more like, “someone has to be running spies in this fantasy kingdom, and we’ve seen the whole royal court, so which background character is it? How does that change these three major interactions?” Or “real life historical nobility did in fact have some things to do that were like jobs, how does this human disaster cope with running an estate?” Or “there’s no reason for a sci-fi robot detective to know how to whitewater kayak, where’d she learn?” Or “if this guy is serving the emperor directly he has to be way high up in the space empire servant hierarchy, why is he doing this menial task for someone else? What’s his motive? Does he perhaps have the secret space telepathy?”
Anyway I’m always DELIGHTED to find a fic or writer who asks these questions because the fics themselves are universally bangers.
the weirdest/coolest part is that it is genuinely not flirting, and barely feels sexualized as a social interaction at all. it's like seeing your friend's favorite pastry on sale and grabbing one for them, but somehow even less of an overture
current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.
someone brought a cake analysis robot to feed the cake into to determine the exact ingredients and supposedly it can spit out the exact same cake. and if you're like dude. what. then they're like well if it bothers you you should have made more cake. i'm hungry and i deserve cake. and you're like dude we're at a party.
Three months later you find out that fifty people locked themselves in a room to discuss how much they loved your cake and how they wished you made more. None of them ever told you.
So this is from 30,000 Miles From Chang’an, which is a 2 hours 47 minutes(!!?) long Chinese animated film that is basically an actually legitimate historical epic and historical biopic (think Gladiator & Amadeus) made into animation, and also passionate tribute to classical art and culture, similar to something like Miss Hokusai or Millennium Actress.

It was rarely a true, bitter cold in Kirkwall. The seaside climate leant the countryside a moderate winter most years-–chilly winds, the very occasional dusting of snow and sleeting rain.
The morning had dawned pale, with a wan sun and muted pinks and powder-blue skies. Fenris had been reluctant to crawl out of the blankets he shared in Hawke’s tent, and was slapped in the face by the frigid air the moment he inched the flap back to venture out.
He’d long ago given in to peer pressure and started donning boots in the winter, but he didn’t bother with them this morning. He picked his way across the campsite to the fire and regretted his audacity immediately; frost covered everything from the logs ringing the firepit to the grass under his soles.
He was shivering by the time he got the embers turned over and fresh wood on the coals. He hung a kettle over the wind-whipped flames and scuttled back to the tent, cursing under his breath.
Fenris ducked inside and immediately heard the sound of his teeth chattering–-the staccato click of bone against bone, mirroring his rapid heartbeat and the tremor in his muscles.
He wasn’t expecting the light chuckle that rose from the blankets in the darkness.
“You have boots. Gloves. A winter coat. A hat.”
“I am not wearing a hat,” Fenris intoned severely. Shoes he’d been bullied into, but he had his limits. He kept the damned thing in his pack simply because Hawke would keep finding new ones for him if he kept pretending to lose them.
“Get back in here,” Hawke ordered, the rustle of blankets and shifting of dim light showing that he’d tossed the covers back for him.
Fenris didn’t argue. He tucked himself back into the cocoon of blankets alongside his lover and immediately found his hands captured between Hawke’s.
Fenris was long limbed for an elf, but Hawke’s hands still dwarfed his. He could barely see them in the dimness, but he could feel their heat and the strength in them, bracketing his own, massaging heat back into frozen fingers.
“Does this hurt?” Hawke asked softly after a moment.
“Pins and needles,” Fenris agreed, thinking he meant the near-frostbite experience he’d just had. Then Hawke’s tone truly sank in—almost timid, unsure. Hopeful. “You mean the markings?”
He felt rather than saw Hawke nod.
Fenris pressed himself a little closer, savoring the body heat. “They will likely always hurt, Hawke, but when it’s you…I don’t notice it. It’s just something in the back of my mind.”
Hawke was quiet for a while and Fenris worried his answer had disappointed him, but he couldn’t lie. And he couldn’t apologize for what was done to him.
“It’s not fair,” Hawke said at last. “I’d like to kill him.”
random PSA, I know a lot of people use duckduckgo as a Google alternative search engine, but it always kind of annoyed me when I was using it because it felt like No Name Brand Google
I have switched to using Startpage.com and vastly prefer it. for one thing, instead of displaying an "AI summary" at the top of the search results (unless you turn it off, yes I know), it displays the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article, with link, whenever it finds one that's relevant.
