my favorite part is that absolutely nobody says this except here. so if you use it in public, it's a dead giveaway that you spent the last ten years on tumblr. but then again, they recognized it, which means they were at the devil's sacrament
I tested this theory in the wild the other day at work. I was on a call with my department lead and a few other folks and I replied to an email the DL had sent me, thinking that, because he was on this call, he wouldn't notice when I sent it and would not catch me multitasking.
However, he replied to said email within five minutes, asking a question that required an answer. So I answered and was like "Also, I was going to apologize for answering emails during this call, but I see we're both here at the Devil's Sacrament, so I don't think an apology is necessary."
I watched him read that on screen and try not to laugh. And then at the end of the call as everyone started saying goodbye, he goes, "Hey, MJ, I meant to tell you. I like your shoelaces."
And I looked straight into my camera, stone cold serious, and said, "Thanks. I stole them from the president."
And the rest of the team was like, "What...the fuck...?" before he abruptly ended the call for everyone.
So now my DL and I know this about each other. He could be any one of us.
Still proud of them for putting out a film that gave Chadwick the respect he deserves and they also worked under stressful conditions. Losing a film brother and working in the middle of a scary global pandemic...bravo to them for putting out a movie with Ryan they can all be proud of. And I don't give a fuck what other people thought of the film, it was a lovely tribute.

I love apocalypse games. They're a lot of fun. Fallout is great, Mad Max is fun, and I LOVE Metro.
But none of them really. Got To Me, y'know?
At least, not until I played Project Zomboid.
This is a game that opens up with the phrase "This Is How You Died" if that says anything.
You're just. Some Person. You're not some super soldier, you don't have any powers, you're not going to kick ass. You're just a person. A mechanic, or a fire fighter, or a cook at the fast food restaurant down the road. Hell, maybe you're even unemployed.
You're just a person. Thrown into this apocalyptic hellscape.
But that's not all.
When you start, it isn't quite the apocalypse. You've got power, you've got water. You can turn on your TV and watch a kids show.
My point is that it's not quite over. It's the beginning of the end. The starting point.
You can watch a talk show. The hosts will talk about what's happening in Knox County. How it's contained. How it's scary, but no one's dead, no one's hurt.
While you're standing on the corpses of what were once your neighbors.
So the whole media begins to fall to hell from there. It only gets worse. Take this transcript, for example:

Hi everyone! Today I have a different sort of conversion to share. Here are 20 posters from one of my other favorite games, No Man's Sky, on Veranka's 3t2 Back to Retro Poster mesh. Swatch, details and download below! 🌌
I love the whole aesthetic of NMS, and I really love the poster designs. The colors are gorgeous! I only have NMS for the PS4, though, so I ended up very carefully taking screenshots of each poster and then made some small adjustments in Photoshop to straighten and sharpen them. I'm sure they're not perfect, but overall I'm really happy with them.
Despite the in-game description of "crease-proof wall art", most of these have wrinkled textures and some of them are pretty significant. I briefly considered trying to smooth them out, but it didn't really seem worth the aggravation.
There's a numbered swatch included so you can keep just what you like. The mesh is not included; you'll need to grab it from Veranka's Pyszny16's Back to Retro Conversion for these to work!
All the credit for these belongs to No Man's Sky and Hello Games, I just stuck them on the mesh. :)
