My feelings: validated. ( x )
I posted this elsewhere and feel the need to share it here because this feels like 1D’s home.
I can’t help but be extremely angry and resentful toward all the people 10 years ago who gleefully bullied him online & insisted they were right for it. To be Liam was shameful, to like Liam was shameful. If he sang, he was wrong. If he didn’t sing he was wrong. The list went on.
If anyone said the treatment was bad, we were shut down and told he deserved it. Truly for no reason other than people liked having a punching bag. We see in his loved ones’ statements that this profoundly changed his self perception over the years.
He ended up self sabotaging and hurting other people. I can’t help but wonder if things would’ve been different if he was shown a little more kindness during the 1d days.
I hope anyone who ever made a nasty tweet or post or concert sign back in the day is deeply ashamed and regretful. I hope the likes and reblogs were worth it.
child stars dying young directly or indirectly as a result of fame-related trauma is just so especially sad. for me it’s the tragedy of how kids don’t really know what they’re signing up for when they ask to be famous, especially back in 2008. liam’s mistakes, addiction, and bad decisions, are all so inarguably tied into his career and the carelessness of the entertainment industry. the 31 year old man that just died is the same 16yo boy that was given drugs and alcohol to keep him quiet while he was being overworked and exploited. corey haim, river phoenix, judy garland, and so many more. you can think what you want about liam and have your own opinions, but don’t lose sight of the larger picture that he was a victim of.
being an adult is just saying to yourself “this is the weekend i’ll clean my [x]” and then proceeding to not do that because it’s the weekend and you deserve to relax, goddamnit
Don’t assume malice. Assume ignorance. Life is easier, the world is kinder, and you can educate. Actual malice is pretty rare, I find.
full offense but none of you would have ever survived fanfiction.net in 2009
remember when writers had to be all like: “omg omg lemon starts HERE” y’all are lucky that ao3 has tags and filters you can set
Sometimes shit was marked “lemon” and it’d just be them making out, and sometimes they’d just start pissing on each other
No rules, no laws, you took your life into your hands opening fics
A/N: this contains SLASH, that means TWO MEN, if that makes you uncomfy, DON’T READ!
A/N: please don’t sue me, o anime overlords, I’m not making any money off of this! I’m just a broke student! I don’t have any money!
A/N: I totally wrote this while high off 10 Red Bulls wheeeeeee!!!!!
A/N: COMMENT if you want me to continue the next chappy!!!
No, no, no
remember when there’d be interactions with the author and the characters?
InuYasha: I don’t get why I have to be here for this
A/N: Because it was in your contract!!1!1 *revs chainsaw*
god those were lawless times.

Character A tilting Character B’s chin up to get a better look at their face and the evidence of the fight. A delicately thumbs away the streak of blood by B’s mouth, saying nothing as they examine it. After a brief pause, B’s heart skips a nervous beat as A looks them dead in the eyes. Their voice is quiet and tense, their anger barely restrained.
“Who did this to you?”
#i am a weak and simple woman okay
Um, absolutely.
When the characters are Enemies
WHEN THEY’RE ENEMIES
WHEN THEY’RE ENEMIES
WHEN THEY’RE ENEMIES
I’m a simple person, I see this trope, I love whatever work it is in
Ever notice on AITA threads that most of the women seem genuinely concerned they’re being assholes despite rarely being in the wrong? Meanwhile most of the men just want confirmation that they’re not assholes despite that they seem to know what they did was awful? Interesting…
it worries me so much that there’s been this (mostly unintentional) culture built up around coming out, to where young lgbt kids are putting themselves in danger at school and at home because they don’t want to “live a lie.” i just want to say, i came out when i was 15 and it created a lot of difficulties in my life that i could have avoided by waiting until i was older. it isolated me socially, it exposed me to homophobia from my parents, my family, my teachers, and my classmates at the most important developmental stages of my own confidence and sense of self… closeted people are not living a lie. closeted people are surviving. don’t let anyone pressure you to come out before you’re ready. don’t put yourself at risk when you don’t have to.
Never been truer.
