Hold on, just adding to the entire “Noto is best Natasha illustrator” thing.
Compare these covers illustrated by different artists.
to these covers illustrated by Noto
What a difference, am I right?
YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I MEANT WHEN I SAID NOTO DOESN’T SEXUALIZE HER LIKE SHE’S A PIECE OF MEAT OR SMTH, even the panels (i can’t add images bc im on mobile) but Noto doesn’t give Natasha an unrealistically clinched waist or huge breasts the figure he draws on natasha is perfect toned, muscular waist with an adequately proportional bust, also thighs that are not too thin or thick but TONED. That FITS as a body type because she works out and it FITS bc its nor hyper sexualized in any way and for that alone mr. noto has my vote.
you know what I couldn’t stay away i’m adding pics.
#1: He’s noto’s natasha underwater:
there’s no overdefined bust, her hips, her thighs everything is realistic. he hasn’t added a glaze or smth over her suit to make it look extra-leathery or smth the suit is realistic as are as arms look how toned they are, how strong because she’s muscular and she needs that muscle.
#2: now there’s this whole panel:
look at those realistic action moves, nothing’s over sexualized about the way she falls or how her butt looks or smth. it isn’t overtly SEXU it’s realistic. She falls and scrambles and her chest isn’t popping out of her suit. ALSO I FORGOT TO MENTION BUT NOTICE HOW HER SUIT IS FULLY ZIPPED UP. NOT ENDING AT HER CLEAVAGE BUT UP TO THE FUCKING COLLAR.
#3: also, look at how he draws/colours her backside too:
there’s nothing hypersexualized about her butt. it’s normal. her thighs her legs, everything is in motion, in action and he draws her like she’s a CHARACTER not an object of the male gaze.
#4: ok here’s more action moves and LOOK:
look at how when she’s jumping, her hands are out to brace herself, how HER HAIR IS TIED BACK IN A PONYTAIL. How she’s kicking and loving and none of it is used to emphasize her butt or smth. its just realistic body movement. Look at the angles, the way she walks. She is on a mission and her face has EXPRESSIONS that show that she’s here ON BUSINESS and not to look pretty like most BW comics do. (refer to #2 for expressive faces as well)
#5: you might say, hey eldritch-beau thats just because he uses the colour black on her like that. to which i raise you:
he’s just as good at drawing Natasha in white and its the white fucking SUIT fellas, that suit FUCKS and its realistic too and just as GOOD so its not just his style of Natasha’s suit, it’s how he draws HER. He doesn’t draw her to fit the suit, he draws the suit to fit HER.
#6: now look at how he draws her in civilian clothes. I don’t even need to tell you the difference.
see how her clothes are not unnecessarily skin-tight? see how her pants/leggings are in civies are good in the sense that they let her move, breathe and not be restricted to just her being slender and looking sexy. Her coat flaps about, her shirt doesn’t stick to her skin, her pants are loose enough and SHE IS WEARING FLATS. She’s efficient and Noto draws her with that efficiency because she is a PERSON and the drawing is consistent, her figure is consistent and she isn’t very tall but that did not make Noto make her tiny. He made her muscular and you can SEE it in the calves, in how she moves and how she runs.
#7: here’s a pic of natasha coming home after a long day and you know what?
noto is the only valid make artist allowed to draw women lounging look at how there’s literally nothing sexualized about how she just flops onto the bed, how her waist isn’t five sizes smaller than her chest when she comes into her room. And when she’s just lying down. tired, she’s exhausted and you can see that. and it’s OK. she doesn’t have to fit the male gaze and it’s FINE.
tldr: noto’s art is amazing and besides the fact that I love the way he colours, I also REALLY love the way he draws Natasha and yall need to go read his comic run asap bc its really good and heartfelt and i can’t gush enough about his art and this post will get too long if I pull up every panel so I’ll leave this post here, go check out Natasha’s 2014 run. That was Noto’s and I can assure you, you wont regret it.
look.. when i say i want a Florence and Hozier collab i mean i want a four hour long, 28 song collab album about tearing yourself free of the mortal binds that restrain you, crawling deep into the forest that has called to you for too long, wandering past remnants of past civilizations and eventually sacrificing yourself at an ancient altar which depicts a pair of stone-hewn male and female celtic godly entities with striking familiar features. Your body is never found.

hey kaylor fam, gather round, won’t you?
so for the last week or so, me and @79-swiftie (and her co-worker) have been mulling over something and we just can’t keep it to ourselves any more. thought we might share.
she and i started talking about one of the central reoccurring and fleshed out themes of the rep era: illusion. and… fragments. i think these two themes—motifs, if you will—need no introduction, but just to share a few key visual points
the rep era CD skin
the recent elle magazine photoshoot (because of photo limit i’ll just post one but you know there were a few)
this thing kimby posted one time
that business. y’know.
actually there are a few taymoji that relate to this but in the interest of time and because i have maxed out in photos, i’ll save it for another time.
and then also, taylor goes sending us this enigma of faces hidden in gemstones 💎 many pieces and facets.
those are all basically fragment-related but today, i would like to talk about optical illusion and this picture:
has this photo ever looked… unsettling, to you? something, uncanny? persay?
well, @79-swiftie and her coworker, who had recently gotten their hands on a copy of the rep era magazines, pored over them and noticed that this above photo has a curious focus placed on it. the cover of Volume 2 spends a lot of space featuring the number 72. on page 72 of the magazine?
that photo. it also happens to be the photo cut up and rearranged on the CD.
so our two heroes noticed this, thought about some of the above fragment motifs, and decided to get crafty. specifically, they photocopied the CD image and reconstructed it like a puzzle. and in the process of putting the pieces together, they had a sort of epiphany.
midway, they saw something:
tell me what you see in this photo. i’ll wait.
here’s a hint…try putting your hand over the left side of the photo. yes.
yes.
now scroll back up and look at the full pic again.
uh huh.
we see Karlie. specifically, her eyes, her cheekbone, forehead area… but moreover, it suddenly felt like her.
naturally 😂 we have spent the past week looking for a perfect match (because while murders have been sentenced for life on solely circumstantial evidence, kaylors have to be 113% correct for it to be worth consideration) and with some uncanny valley results. interestingly, her face matches up much easier if you mirror the photo and use the right side of her face/left side of the photo flipped. give it a try! it’s suuuuper eerie.
i’m not sure if the goal is to find an existent photo (they could have easily taken a private photo of karlie specifically for use), but, in our quest, the other day i felt particularly teased by karlie’s latest Klossy video and i thought i’d share the result because frankly it took me out of commission just now.
simple really. you just uh,
flip it around,
take out the saturation,
pop it in.
and *boop*
how cool is that?
no this isn’t the exact photo.
but my dudes. it works.
i assume it’s an unsolvable for us. frankly, i don’t think taylor wanted it an undeniable discoverable thing. like many other elements of the rep tour, people who want to see it will. others can choose not to. that’s the power of our illusionist.
and like, think about this for a second…
what if karlie’s face has been there, incorporated into the iconic rep era pic of taylor, all this time? because give it a try. it is *entirely possible* and i am shook to the core.
thought i’d throw in some honorable mentions 😂 i think they kinda look like angelina jolie
Woah, wow…floored. This is uncanny because you can really see it with the space between the faces. It’s throwing me off how my brain automatically jumps to seeing Karlie when the face was split into two. Definitely don’t put it pass Taylor to use the illusion of them being mistaken for each other.
This seems like the literal face value interpretation of So It Goes:
All eyes on you my magician
All eyes on us
You make everyone disappear and
Cut me into pieces…
Gold cage hostage to my feelings
And our pieces fall right into place
God her mind. God your minds to put this together.
cut me into pieces 😭
aw heck before i go to bed let me throw up here all the taymoji that might be related 😁
Cut me into pieces…
I’m… I can’t…
It makes so much sense why she opted to use this as the outro instead of singing it every night. The more you think about it the more potent it becomes…
you are absolutely right she sang so it goes at my concert and she was absolutely BEAMING
@daysarenights i’ve been killed on the spot. again.
the grey box is pretty characteristic of photoshop and is normally where editing history appears (although you can set it to other things). what i find more interesting is if you look to the right there’s a picture of the layers panel.
for the photoshop unsavy i’ve circled it.
now interestingly there are two light/white colored blocks and in photoshop those are generally the pictures.
now underneath the second picture you can see that it’s been heavily edited with white and black layers underneath it (denoted by the bracket) where information from the orgininal pic was taken out (effectively erased, the black boxes) and brought back in (the white boxes)
i guess what i’m saying is it sure does look like a second photo—karlies photo—was overlayed and edited. then when they took this clip they made sure the photoshop screen had the photo at a size where most of karlies face was covered by the history panel (which is interestingly blank, probably indicating this photo was done being edited and was opened up to show taylor/for this clip)
@9w1ft you got me with this picture 😵😵😲
😬
yes i have been sitting on that pic in particular knowing it wasn’t good enough to post but at the same time completely enamored 😭 isn’t it uncanny??
@9w1ft
Not saying I’m at expert but I know enough to pick up little details from pic that have been manipulated. The hand over “karlies eye” seems like it doesn’t belong there. Why?
If it was Taylors face, even with touch ups there would be no need to erase the shadows from her face if you already have them on the left side unles the editing teams sucks and they erased the shadows on accident
The left side looks like that because when you crop a picture to put something else behind it you have to erase the background and it gives you a rough edge especially if the background is lighter than the top layer. It gives it a sticker like look.
And it doesn’t seem like the finger is touching the skin like the other hand is .
And lastly it you just look at the right side. It’s karlie. There’s no denying.
Will I keep reblogging this as people add more evidence…yes yes I will!
i totally agree like RIP my wall but everyone is so on point!
i would like to add, since i think nobody has mentioned it yet, that i also think it’s devilishly clever that the part two of the photo in question, smiling taylor was sold as a lenticular poster
drives home the idea of illusion☺️
Okay hear me out. I looked through Karlies insta, and not only do these pics stand out (as well as their captions 😜) but Karlie also appears to favor her left side in pictures. It’s an obvious theme in her insta pics. Plus, she more often winks by closing her right eye and keeping left open.
If Karlie sees this I’m gonna seem so creepy, but I notice peoples mannerisms and habits naturally and these just stand out, I love you Karlie I’m so sorry for staring so hard at your face 😭❤️

I have to reblog this every time I see it, because there has never been a more iconic moment ever.

BCE (Big Crowd Energy)
Do y'all ever think about how different the ladies of Legacies are from their characters?
Hope Mikaelson is portrayed as a powerful but lonely tribrid. Danielle Rose Russell is a friendly and nice girl that just loves to hang out with her friends.
Josie Saltzman is portrayed as a shy, quiet and codependent siphoner witch. Kaylee Bryant is a fun loving and outgoing girl that curses on her instagram live because that is how she expresses herself
Penelope Park is portrayed as this evil ex-gf that causes trouble and is labeled as “Satan”. Lulu Antariksa is a sweet, kind-hearted woman that is deeply religious yet has an open mind.
Lizzie Saltzman is portrayed as a selfish, immature siphoner witch who does not think about anyone else but herself. Jenny Boyd is a mature and quiet woman who is passionate about acting.
That’s why I find it really stupid and unfair when people attack the actresses for the characters that they play.
