One of my favourite things about gus and shawn is that they both approach their most fundamental and similar qualities in opposite directions. Shawn is a crazy person who happens to be intelligent. Gus is an intelligent person who happens to be silly. Shawn doesn't know the word "hence" but managed to identify a guy's argentinian accent from the 1 (one) month he spent there 10+ years prior. Gus deduces how an old tourist trap is falling apart due to illegal mining and asks "hmm why would a ghost do this" in the very next sentence. Shawn is the seemingly unsophisticated guy with frivilous tatse but Gus is the one obsessed with reality television. Sometimes they align together, sometimes they mismatch like polka dots and stripes. Dynamic of all time

Theyâd find out when a politician of big boss who upheld poverty and starvation wages was speaking at some public even, then theyâd carefully break into his house with a LOT of people and they would eat EVERY piece of food in his house and leave the empty dished behind without taking anything else.Â

Growth
One time my brotherâs construction crew didnât get paid on time. So he went to the bossâ house at dinnertime and when the boss opened the door my brother walked right in, asking âwhatâs for dinner?â And while the boss sputtered and protested, my brother started going through his fridge, calmly explaining that since he didnât get paid, he didnât have money for groceries, and his kid was sitting hungry at home because they didnât have dinner. The bossâ family looked on in horror as my brother commented on how much nice food the boss had in his fridge. Until the boss finally loaded my brother up with a bunch of stuff out of the freezer and managed to get him to leave. Everyone got paid the next day and, as far as I know, they got paid on time as long as my brother worked there. Who knew that being supremely annoying could be such a gift?!

#giving them a third space helps#they're still annoying in public as is their sacred duty#but they tend to congregate in specific areas of public where they can enjoy being annoying together
