im not saying every ace person in the world has to sit down and watch sex scenes im just saying like, ive never played baseball in my life, dont think it looks fun, dont think i would be good at it, dont really enjoy watching it as a sport, but a movie about people who play baseball isnt entirely off the table or meaningless to me because its not a 1:1 to participating in or watching a baseball match, its a story in which baseball is being used as a tool, setting, metaphor, character exploration, etc

It's nuts how common it is to not allow children to be angry, even (especially) in households where adults are angry all the time. As a child I knew my own anger was unacceptable--not just expressing it outwardly but feeling it at all. So now as an adult my immediate reaction to my own anger is often to feel guilt instead of like. Noticing when someone is being rude or unfair or my boundaries are being violated or whatever. fucked up.

something about Toy Story toys is so strange to me. versions of animated characters based on real world toys, turned back into toys that are slightly different than the actual toys. slinky dog with a rubber spiral instead of a classic metal slinky. the porcelain bo peep and cloth woody turned into jointed plastic action figures. when toy story 4 came out and i saw a $30 talking action figure of forky, a character made out of a spork and a pipe cleaner, i stood in the walmart toy aisle staring at it like cameron from ferris bueller's day off staring at that painting in the art museum
