Hayden, half asleep, just rolls out of bed on instinct. His eyes aren't even fully open as he tucks Shane into bed, kisses his forhead and mumbles a "night night" before he falls face first into bed and is back to sleep immediately.

This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and there’s no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting “caught” at a sex club shouldn’t be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldn’t be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesn’t make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isn’t productive, it’s just creepy. I’d rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.

sometimes when shane is cranky in a social situation, ilya will turn to their friends and go "give me ten minutes" and lead shane off somewhere private. and when they return, shane is all smiley and content like he's never had a bad day in his life

shane who sat under his dads desk and helped him out with ‘important documents’. his dad ‘needed all these papers folded in perfect halves’, and five year old shane was not gonna disappoint him. he was gonna win at folding papers in half.

(in reality these were just last years invoices that ought to be shredded but shane needn’t know that)

by lunch time he had folded nearly 100 important documents in half and susan the receptionist told him he’s the best paper folder she’s ever met! dad ruffled his hair with pride.

shane doesn’t have anything against pet names in a relationship, he just doesn’t see himself using them, especially not baby, but one day over the summer they’re both hiking up a small mountain and through the woods, and ilya tries taking a shortcut that is actually riddled with briars, and his legs get all cut up and he ends up with some thorns stuck in his skin

ilya is whining about it as he takes a seat on a big rock, he’s got tiny pricks of blood and little scrapes all over his legs and he is absolutely making it shane’s problem

and shane scoffs a laugh as he kneels down to pry out as many tiny thorns as he can and says “baby” under his breath, and the thing is that he meant it to be making fun of ilya, but it just comes out so fond and enamored that it sounds genuine

and suddenly ilya is looking down at him with saucer eyes and the bulge in his shorts is growing, and suddenly there’s a hand in shane’s hair and shane’s mouth is watering

so yeah, sue him if he starts calling ilya baby more often
