I have talked how I love how Misty's spirituality is portrait in Cyberpunk 2077. It's just a normal part of her. It's not woo-woo to laugh at Misty. It's not an empowered woman who has sees spirits and auras everywhere and sticks crystals into who knows where. It's not her being a floating hippie with no touch on this physical world.
I have also mentioned how V and Jackie approach Misty's spirituality as a normal thing. Jackie doesn't mock it - he tries to learn her ways. V doesn't mock Misty or Jackie for having a spiritual girlfriend. The worst thing is that V can say that they don't believe in tarot.
The way Misty speaks about spirituality is very ordinary. Negativity blocks energy flows. Signs are meant for you to discover your own journey. This tarot reading is only my message so if it doesn't resonate, ignore it.
It all sounds familiar to me as someone who has been on a spiritual journey since age 19. That's how I talk about spirituality with my closest ones. Whoever has written Misty knows what they are doing and understands spirituality 100%.
I have encountered a few times a monk in the Night City. He always asks to meditate with him. I do and the meditations are genuine meditations. I have done meditations like that offered by meditation teachers. Whoever has written them knows what they are doing and how meditating and their language truly are.
Dum Dum believes in reincarnation. His cut off scene from the game have a following conversation with V when V asks Dum Dum what is the most important thing in life:
Dum Dum: In this one, you mean? To not fuck it up too bad. Dum Dum: I gotta say I'm doing alright so I figure I'll come back as someone like Royce next time around. V: You believe in reincarnation? Dum Dum: You don't? Then how does all of this make any sense?
That's exactly what my spiritual friend and I have been saying since our teens; if there was no belief in us to reincarnation, past lives and their effect on this current life, we both would have jumped off the bridge a long time ago. Because to us, it nothing here makes sense without reincarnation. Whoever wrote this dialogue to Dum Dum understands reincarnation from the spiritual perspective perfectly. (This topic is brought officially up in the novel Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence where Dum Dum speaks about his faith in reincarnation).
So, in short, I'm dead certain someone in CD Project Red is in a really deep end of spirituality and lives it as a part of their daily life.
And that makes me SO HAPPY. Finally, genuine spiritual representation without "oooooo woo-woo, that's stupid lol lol!" or "oooo occultism, scary!!" or "ooooo can you sense the energies uuuh aaaah I can see to the 5th dimension of crystal light shooting out of a Pegasus's butterfly wings, ooooh!"
