Robins love Commissioner Gordon. Neither Gordon or Bats isn't sure why every Robin just trusts him or likes him so much. But they absolutely adore him - to the point where Batman starts getting slightly jealous.
The first Robin would often interrupt discussions (though not case related because he knows better) to ask Gordon to watch him do a trick he just learned or show him the gap in his teeth - Gordon hands the kid five bucks, because he always played tooth fairy for the kids and forgot where he was, he tried to play it off. It is not uncommon for this Robin to hold Gordon’s hand when crossing the street after a scene - the Bat accepts this, though is often very curt with the Commissioner afterward.
The second Robin is a little older when he starts, more wary but soon he's sitting on the roof of Gordon's squad car, legs dangling over the side asking questions about the cars the GCPD drive while sharing his fries from Batburger or bringing him along his report card (name redacted of course) which he didn’t show Batman, who looks a little hurt.
The third Robin is quiet as well but he's clever, Gordon often does the New York Times crossword but rarely finishes it due to be exhausted or forgetting. Robin III will often do it with him after a debriefing or Robin III will offer to help Gordon with the new smartphone that Babs insisted he get and that he doesn’t want to admit he hates using.
Robin number four well, she reminds him a little bit of his Barbara, tough as nails, but he won't have any cop swearing around her and if they do he reminds them there's a lady present to which Steph replies with a few colourful words which makes Gordon choke on his coffee. Now, Robin number four will try make the Commissioner laugh whenever she can, especially if he seems a little stressed. Times where he’s very stressed or upset over a case, Gordon can expect a pair of arms tight around his middle or a kiss on the cheek.
Robin the fifth is as serious as the Bat and more professional... Until there are animals around and the kid isn't so unnerving when he's covered in three kittens he just rescued. Whenever Gordon always asks how Robin is, he gets a grunt in reply. Babs suggests reaching out through his love of animals (because Gordon cannot live in a world where a Robin feels they can’t trust him). Gordon always asks after Robin’s pets which always triggers an actual smile and the Robin whipping out his phone to show him the pictures and videos he took of them. This Robin also starts bringing him facts about various animals to which Gordon always nods very seriously to.
