I wrote a song about how I am feeling today:
Inflammation, cha cha cha, inflammation, cha cha cha. Inflammation is the cause of my discomfort, cha cha cha. My achilles, cha cha cha, my achilles, cha cha cha, my achilles feels like the burning fire of mordor, cha cha cha.

I will be taking the next two days off of running, even though I only ran 4 days this week not 5, because I am literally limping.

So I plan on eating pizza at home and try to get it done by the deadline. (I’m going to come back and tag people)
30 day 5k challenge!
So my friends, have you seen any of those 30 day fitness challenges on Youtube?? I saw a few with doing a 5k a day, one doing a mile a day, squats, pushups... etc. One thing I definitely noticed about the running videos is that they do it every single day, no rest days, and they all. get. injured.
Here is my plan: 5k for 30 days. 5 days on, 2 days off. 6 weeks. Weigh-in every week, body measurements at the beginning and end. For the 2 days off I can choose to do other workouts if I feel like I can.
For the 5k, I plan to warm up with a 5-10 minute walk, then walk/run in intervals.
Walk 4/ run 1
Walk 3/ run 2
Walk 2/ run 3
Walk 1/ run 4
As I get more comfortable I will increase the intervals, therefore increasing my overall 5k speed.

Words to describe my run: muggy, muddy, foggy, damp, drippy, and ouch.
Big salad for dinner. K ate earlier so I had a little bit more freedom with my meal. Giant salad. Vegan. 👌
I forgot to post my stats last night!
And my scale finally budged this morning! Woohoo! Just a little bit. We'll see what she says on Sunday.
But my gals, do you see that right pic? I haven't been doing anything freaky in the past couple days, but I have a weird bruise looking thing under one of my boobs. Does this happen from running? It's not sore or anything. I feel like if it was sore or irritated it would be from chafing, but it's not. I have no idea.
Lol I tried to make the pic really nondescript like.. What am I looking at here, a blob fish?
In other news: Here's what the weather is looking like today.
To be totally honest, I was so sore last night I took some pain medicine before bed. My lower back, my feet, my thighs, and my calves were just so achy.
When I set forth on my 5k challenge I wanted to avoid injury, I thought 5 days on 2 days off each week would be good. Originally I planned for M-F on, Sat and Sun off. But I really think my body needs a break today. That means I will take today off, run Friday and Saturday, and be off Sunday.
^my fitbit is like woah girl, where you been at? Lol.
Today I am going to relax, and try to "massage and sweat out the toxins"-K. So, did I ever tell you guys he was a cross country runner back in the day? Yep. He has a lot of tips for me regarding running and recovery. It's just funny because he doesn't ever want to exercise with me..
I used to say he didn't need to exercise because he's just naturally skinny. Over the past couple of years though his belly is starting to getting bigger. I mean, I still think he's attractive, but it would be good for him to be my exercise buddy, don't you think??
Maybe if I made some friends up here I wouldn't be so needy with him. This will be our 3rd year in Virginia, I'm bound to make some friends soon, right? It's hard to make new friends when you're 31. I've met some people through work, but no one has super clicked with me.
I don't really miss Miami, I miss my people from Miami.
I just want a friend to say this to me-->

Holy hell it's hotter than Satan's crotch outside.
Today's run went pretty well. The first mile, even after I warmed up with a 10 minute walk, I still felt stiff. Mile 2 I actually felt pretty good except for the hills.
Ugh but mile 3 was a slog. I could feel the temperature rising as time went on, and I really had to push myself to keep going. Proud that I did it 💪
Currently sitting in front of the fan with some ice cold water. After I cool down I am finally going to eat.. Lunch? Brunch? I didn't eat this morning. If I did I would have definitely thrown up outside. 🤮
30 Day 5k Challenge Day 7 ✔
My run was like, "Girl I'm gonna make you sweat. Sweat till you can't sweat no more." 😂😂 I need to bring a towel with me. I've been doing the lift and wipe method with my shirt, real classy.
Foot: kinda hurt, but the new shoes are super comfy and supportive. I took it a little slower today as well.
Glad I went on a run! I feel good 💪
Early dinner:
Mashed sweet potatoes with vegan butter for me, regular mashed potatoes for K. Shake and bake chicken tenderloins, and salad. My plate was mostly salad and sweet potatoes. 😋
