Because of this absence, the boy was left to nearly drown and grew up in an orphanage where his stepmother physically punished him, and he ended up developing the very same illness as Ariana, likely dying young. So much for being responsible! And yet, he doesn’t have an ounce of forgiveness for his lonely 17-18-year-old brother.
