What is Imbolc?

Imbolc is a holiday that takes place on February 1st. I celebrates the beginning of spring and growth. It is a time of renewal, fresh beginnings, and hope towards the future. It is the perfect time to make life decisions, try new things, and attempt to move forward from anything that might be holding you back in your past. 

How Can I Celebrate?

Try out a new hobby

Plant something

Cook something

Really anything that involves you creating something

Volunteer at a nature clean-up event 

Clean your house physically

Cleanse your house magickally

Start a journal

Apply for jobs

Have that risky conversation that you’ve been wanting to have but dreading

Wear that outfit that makes you nervous that people will think it looks stupid. OWN IT

Re-decorate your altar

If you are planning on having a baby, this will be a good day to... uh.. start trying.

Witches' Honey Bread

Ingredients:

1½ cups buttermilk

1 cup honey

¼ cup molasses

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1½  cups whole wheat flour

1 cup white flour

¼ cup raisins

Steps:

Combine the buttermilk, honey, molasses, baking soda, and salt.

Mix the 2 flours together in a separate bowl and add to the buttermilk mixture.

Stir in the raisins and pour the batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.

Bake the bread for one hour in a 350°F oven.

Turn the loaf out, inverted, on a wire rack to cool.

I made more printables!! In this case, it is a Spell Worksheet set. In most cases, it is best if, when making spells, you take your time and think them out. For each item or step included, you must think, why? Once the spell is done and you receive results, it is equally if not more important to reflect on them. This is one of the best ways you can learn what works and doesn’t work, thus, helping your growth as a witch.

Basic Recipe of a Spell

Ingredients

Intent (what is the purpose of your spell?)

A correspondence (candles, stones, incense, etc.)

A source of power (your own energy, fire, a quartz crystal, etc.)

A binder to connect all of them (an offering, an incantation, dance, art, writing, etc)

A cleanser (a bell, ethically sourced sage, salt, etc.)

Steps:

Cleanse your working space

Ensure that your intent is clear and loud in your mind for the duration of the spell

Set up your working space in an organized way

Activate your source of power

Activate your correspondence

Activate your binder

Repeat but in reverse

This is not a definitive guide, but is rather a very easy to follow guide to making spells for those who don't know where to begin! I recommend you tweak it for your needs and to match your magickal style.
