I've noticed something interesting in Reddit's perception of the Transfem Jax theory:
Not only do they near-universally despise it, but they somehow have a victim complex about despising it too.
There were a few posts made to the several TADC subreddits over the last day or 2 asking what people's least favorite Jax Theory/Headcanon is, and AT LEAST 50% of all comments were about how they HATE Transfem Jax.
They would get vitriolic too, using some strong words for what's ultimately not worth those.
They're also STILL HARPING ON THE "Daisy Spammer" (Overblown) as an excuse for why they hate the theory. (Kinda just sounds like you want an excuse to shit on a Transfem reading of a character but. Idk. I just think they should've gotten over it by now.)
And they have the NERVE to say some bs like "Oh I'm sure I'll get downvoted for this." NO YOU'RE NOT! NO YOU WON'T! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR OWN ASS YOU DUMB FUCK.
They seem to simultaneously see that all of the top-upvoted comments are ragging on Transfem Jax, and yet STILL think to themselves "I am truly oppressed for disliking this theory."
I truly see why Gooseworx hates Reddit now. They're not just too dumb to get the theory, they get it, they just want to shit on it anyway because they hate trans women.

wanna start off by saying this does NOT pertain to any of the Critters here on tumblr. Haven’t been in this community for long but I’ve seen none of this behavior done towards me or frankly any other critter post I’ve come across. Yall are great people. Keep being great people.

There’s a subreddit for CR (an unofficial one) that I never followed but get notifs from all the time for some weird reason and the amount of posts hating on the most recent campaign (not criticizing in a constructive way, hating) is crazy. It was very mild during the overture, kinda went away during the soldiers table but during the seekers table holy fuck has it gotten nuts.
Most obvious one to start with: the amount of misogyny and ESPECIALLY misogynoir in some of these “fans” is nuts. I don’t know if Aabria hasn’t gone to many cons because of this or if it’s just a coincidence but tbh if she actively chooses to not go to cons because of the behavior of these assholes I would not blame her. So many “fans” of the show simply will not stop talking bad about her and it is ALWAYS THE SAME SHIT! “oh she plays the same character every time” (but they have no problem with Liam and his sad boys, let’s be clear I don’t either but still). “she’s spotlight hogging” (Brennan and Matt have said multiple times in interviews how valuable and loved she is as a DM AND as a player). “she’s always bending the rules of the game” (if Brennan had any problem with it, he’d say so). And when the few people on this subreddit call them out on their double standards, not mentioning race or gender, they jump immediately to “don’t play the race card” or “don’t play the woman card” which is clear, CLEAR projection on their part. If you don’t vibe with a player’s particular playstyle that’s fine. But it’s literally so much easier to say that rather than making them out to be some kind of problem player (I’ve seen people on this same subreddit compare Aabria to Or*on Ac**a. Had to take a walk outside after that one).
Secondly, it seems like so many of these same “fans” were not paying attention when the cast said this campaign and its three separate tables would have three separate tones.
Soldiers: more combat focused, closest to a “traditional home game”
Seekers: more world building, lore and RP focused (hence the name ‘seekers’)
Schemers: more espionage and sociopolitical RP focused (again, hence the name)
Both on Reddit and on TikTok I’ve seen people call the Seekers episodes “boring” and “sleepy” only to compare them to the Soldiers episodes which clearly have an opposite tone. Like duh these episodes are different from the soldiers? Obviously with a darker toned story and players that prefer heavy RP in their gameplay there’s gonna be slower pacing and longer, more serious scenes of dialogue?!
I’m calling it right now. When we get to the Schemers table (which I’m predicting will have the least combat of the three due to them staying in the city and all having a job and an image to uphold) these same fans are gonna diss the schemers by comparing it to the seekers.
“At least the seekers had some combat”
“Why are the players and Brennan talking so quietly and for so long”
“Literally nothing happens”
I don’t know it just makes me really sad. I don’t have a lot of IRL friends that watch the show so online is the only place I can really discuss it and to see this much negativity when I feel so positively about the show almost makes me feel stupid for liking it?
Now I’m not saying you have to love every moment of every episode. But surely there were SOME moments during the Seekers arc that interested you? Or that you found cool? Or at the very least made you laugh? Usually if there’s something I dislike in a piece of media I try my best to find something that I enjoyed, even something small. And if I can’t find one?
Guess what?

You cover your face, giggling. “It’s sad because it’s probably true, y’know! Fine. Do you have some kind of heat-seeking missile in your modifications? Because you always lock onto my heart and refuse to miss.”
He barks a laugh. “Ouch! Using my arm against me? Tchtch.. low blow. Alright-alright, let’s at least try to be civil,” Caleb clears his throat “..if you were a cockpit you’d be the one I never want to eject from.”

Silence. Absolute silence. His eyes lock with yours. They’re unreadable. oh… for a second, your chest tightens.

Before you can scramble away his arms snake around your waist and pull you down onto the couch. One arm pins you as his fingers find your sides. “No— Caleb—! I WON!” you squeal, dissolving into giggles
“Technically yes,” he murmurs against your ear, voice warm enough to make your breath hitch. “But you still deserve a punishment, don’t you think?” His fingers dance everywhere he knows you’re ticklish while he keeps talking between laughs. “Lost your white flag, huh? ‘Cause you’re supposed to wave it by now.”
You’re giggling and squirming and gasping “Never!” you wheeze “…no white flag—only checkered ones… I’m still racing you—”
“Oh? Are you saying you want me to lap you?” he purrs while finally easing up. He presses a soft kiss to the top of your head, and holds you closer. His arms tighten just a little around you. “God I missed this, y’know..” he says softly, still a little out of breath.

hi! I've seen you post about the mr whatsit game (arg? idk what to call it) and I have a few questions about it:
how is it CG related? I can tell by the name and the fact that you're talking about it in reference to CG, but is it set in the world? made by some team member? does it provide clues for CG or is it just a game inspired by it?
how would I find this? is it a website, and if so, could you give the link? I tried searching it up but I couldn't find it

As for your other questions- those are kinda hard to answer! I found out about this game through a post on one of the conformitygate subreddits, but there is ultimately next to no information about this game.
Someone with some more tech experience did a lil deep dive on it and shared that the domain for the website was taken in 2020 (when S4 filming got delayed during the pandemic, and the time in which the Duffers shared they got extra space to outline S5), and the game went ‘live’ in December 2025.
It is also completely anonymous- no one knows who made it.
But I personally believe the game is related to conformitygate because it carries so many similarities to Stranger Things- right down to the Montauk Experiment being in the game files (I’ve yet to encounter it naturally in my playthroughs).
I think it’s like… a Camazotz/ Nina-esque simulation of Hawkins but the details have been scrubbed away by WHATEVER the fuck to the point where it only resembles the broad strokes. It’s like a crisis of identity.
Like- the town is called Hollow Pines, which kinda matches to Hawkins. The farthest any of the in-game dates go is 1987. There’s a mysterious hospital up on a hill that does experiments on people in the basement just like Hawkins Lab. The hospital is connected to the Quarry (which is described in-game as the ‘heart’ of the map) by underground tunnels. That’s just El-Mike-Will. There is a mysterious ‘signal’ emanating from beneath the ground that seems to passively keep the town complacent to all the weird shit happening around them. Those that can hear the signal better often disappear. Your first given task is about following the steps of a girl named Emily who went missing recently- she is described in-game as a ‘receiver’ for the signal, and that when she disappeared it was to become integrated with it, like she was transformed into a vessel of sorts. Sound like someone we know?
All that, plus the website url literally being Mr. What’s It, and the given timeline of the domain being taken and the game going live, makes me feel like it’s way too big of a coincidence to NOT be apart of the conformitygate ARG.
You can read all the endings using the link I provided in a previous ask that shows the source code. But idk I guess the reason I keep playing anyway is out of hope that there’s some sort of prize for seeing all 5 endings the ‘right’ way. Like something else will trigger that gives a proper tease for what’s coming/ an established connection back to the show.
As I said- I’m not literate enough in html to really use the source code to cheat my way through the game. The game itself seems designed to make you brute force your way through it. ‘Some things only exist when you look for them’.

Kinda. My URL is based Psalms 137, which the Babylon Canon is quoting. When I first chose this username, I wasn't planning on that account being for writing - I was using it to access the exmormon subreddit. I eventually burned out on them because they were so, so bitter, and I just... I wasn't. I was sad. I would describe myself as very religious, but not at all spiritual. I loved my friends, I loved the ward, I loved all the insane bullshit that happened in scouts, I loved that there were grown men who had busy lives and kids of their own that worked together to give me adventures in my childhood. I talk about the disasters because they're memorable, but these were not incompetent people. For every disaster there were 10 things that just went great.
I wasn't angry. The worst thing they did was hurt people near me, and when people you love do bad things to other people you love, it's just miserable. I wish they'd treated all of my people as good as they treated me. They loved the house, but not its crows.
Anyway, I chose that Psalm for a handful of reasons.
It's a homesick song. And after leaving, I felt homesick. I sat down by the river and I hung my harp on the poplars, and I wept when I remembered Zion.
I know this is incredibly dorky - but the only piece of media I ever found as a Mormon boy that took the religion seriously was Fallout New Vegas. They weren't a punchline in that game. They wrote Mormons that had deep regrets and complicated pasts, who had lived through and did terrible things, and I loved them for it. The most well executed example of this was a character named Joshua Graham, and he spits Pslams 137 at you in a key moment, and changed my brain chemistry. Watch this if you want to get a sense of the character. Or this. Either works.
I had a really, really, crazy seminary teacher. I've got two stories (story 1, story 2) about him, but frankly, I could write like, ten. He talked about Psalms 137 a lot. He had a very strong belief in God's willingness to inflict a terrible vengeance, but he also had like, beliefs on what it took for that vengeance to be invoked. One of the most interesting people I've met in my entire life, and deeply thus deeply entwined with my relationship with Mormonism.

ok so I think I found the WORST subreddit as an army. I tried to post this twice in different communities but got deleted right away so hum tumblr is it!
First of all I am NOT trying to be disrespectful of idk what but I dont really have anybody to talk about to so yeah. I already got shut down from another community so I’m trying here. I do not want to start a hateful conversation. I’m just sharing some thoughts.
So out of nowhere I decided to search up Jungkook surgery on Reddit just by curiosity to see how far people would go but wow this really made my heart ache… they be saying things like « they changed so much they’re no the same at ALL » and other stuffs like « jk has no personality, he isn’t interesting and all his tattoos » bla-bla-bla. Yeah he probably has done surgery and everything but all this shit talk really makes me feel bad… idk them saying that BTS preached for self love just to do surgery too… it did something to me and even if the hate isn’t pointed toward me it kinda hurts? As if I have been betrayed. Not trying to be the devil’s lawyer but do they not realize that they cannot go freely doing everything they wish they could do ? I do know that they can make their own choices and stuff but being mean because they lost weight again after coming back from the army is a bit mean? The agence prob told em to. Also I’ve also read about ppl saying ‘that the whole jungkook golden era personality was peak and he played with armies by living often and acting silly or idk what just for it to vanish or even when he could have been THE idol back in 2016-19, so yeah all of this to say that seeing the hate being this present about saying they’re boring, fake, ugly and (smn even said surgerycook…) ass… really reminded me that it’s present. I’ve been around so many kind armies that it kinda shocked me…? That’s why I’m writing it to let it all out because it really made me feel dizzy and bizarre about all of this. Because what if they’re not totally wrong about the whole fake personality thing? Ofc they pretend and act some specific way sometimes but you can’t tell me that they faked it 24/7 (that’s one of their songs btw :D ) for THIRTEEN YEARS? Because at the end of the day they’re just humans too as any other celeb. Someone on the Kingdom Hearts subreddit mentioned that Kingdom Hearts is gay culture and they got downvoted into the negatives, while someone asking how got 8 upvotes.
Like, anyone who was around during the 2000s and a fan of Kingdom Hearts would know why someone would consider Kingdom Hearts gay culture. The amount of gay shit (affectionate) that was coming out of the fandom during the 2000s and early 2010s was wild and literally everywhere.
The amount of kid and teen fans of the series during that time period that eventually realized that they were queer in college or as adults is also a huge amount. I just know it.
It really feels like, around the lead up to KH3, there was a large influx of dudebro gamers to the franchise and the old fandom connection to queerness has kinda been like straightwashed or something. It's weird. Especially over on the Kingdom Hearts subreddit, but that should be no suprise to anyone.
It reminds me of the dude over on Twitter like a year ago or something that was talking about Soriku as if it was some newly created gay ship and not a long-established queer ship within the fandom that has its roots in a queer reading of the series as a whole.
And, this may be a bit of an unpopular opinion, and it is largely based on just the vibes I've been getting from what little we've seen of KH4 so far (so things may change) but KH3 and KH4 feel like they may be trying to appeal more to that dudebro demographic in a way that the earlier games never did. I don't quite know how or why I feel that way, and once we know more about KH4 I may end up completely changing my mind on this and sort of debunk this whole thought/opinion, but...something about the vibes. IDK how to properly describe it.
Anyway, this was kind of just a ramble. The Kingdom Hearts subreddit is always such an alien planet-like experience for me when it comes to the fandom. It is always an experience that is both "ugh" inducing but also quite interesting from the perspective of how fandoms evolve and change over time, as well as how the platform that the fandom is engaging on can really set the vibes and perspectives of the fans.

With it being pride month (happy pride y’all <3), I have noticed an even greater uptick in the fanbase’s misogynist behavior. There has been active censorship with in the fandom and on subreddits of CaitVi official pride art from LoL, yet they complain about there being no JayVik. Well if anything they are queer platonic. Also I think we should talk about how the staff of the show and voice actors are indirectly enabling this sexism with in the fanbase as well as the perpetual reframing of what Christian Linke said regarding viewing Viktor as asexual. I have seen many posts saying that Linke states that viktor is unable to love which isn’t true and he said “To me, Viktor was always asexual, and that was always something we talked about from the very beginning. So, a romantic relationship between Jayce and Viktor was just never part of it. There is a love, absolutely, but we also found it a bit... Love and relationships are so complex and take so many different forms. Viktor loves in a different way.” I’m not sure what the issue is with that is, he LITERALLY said viktor loves just different.
I honestly think that with the show being done that the creators of the show and the VA just need to let it be done and stop enabling this horrid fanbase that I have a low-key toxic relationship with because I keep coming back (I am somewhat self aware. The brainworms won’t let me leave.)
But returning to misogyny, the show does not help this as in the case of Sky, they used her as a plot point for Viktor, which while I understand, it seemed very meaningless with how they did not flesh out their dynamic at all to make her death impactful beyond whoops someone died. While I do believe if my actions led to someone dying I would be very depressed as well, I don’t find Viktor’s reactions with in the context of the show and what we’ve seen proportional for Sky to just be a meaningless plot point that even the creators reduced her too. For example Jayce literally killed a child and basically was like oh no anyways let me go talk to viktor about how we’re being shitty. Meanwhile Viktor was about to throw himself off a ledge. With Sky making an appearance in the second season they really squandered this opportunity to show Viktor wanting to redeem himself and do right by Sky as at the point of the commune Viktor was still good and had peoples interests at heart. And I really don’t like how they reduce Viktor obviously being distressed about Sky being destroyed to “haha sky called him gay and left”…she knew he wouldn’t miss her because he was destroying his humanity, his ability to love and miss people for what he thought was the greater good. Sigh. At least Viktor talks about sky fondly in the game.
Now for a more spicy hot take on a common headcanon I’ve seen, Viktor being trans. Now hold your horses, this is perfectly fine and I vibe with it tbh. However I do not vibe with the reasons people headcanon this as they kinda leave a yucky taste in my mouth and I find them to be rather ableist and something along the lines of sexist in a way. For example someone said viktor in a way “a cis man wouldn’t”…how exactly is a cisman supposed to act? How does a trans man act??? Also saying that he’s acts feminine, and saying that he must be a trans man is not helping the issue of forcing men of all kind to act in toxic masculine ways, and also feels a touch transphobic to me as it is implying trans men are inherently feminine which is…a thought. I think he’s very “manly” in the sense he is determined to work through his many adversities. He’s feminine because he’s cried on screen? Or is he feminine because he’s a sassy introvert? I don’t know, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that is difficult to articulate. Now, I understand that a lot of people relate to viktor and see his metamorphosis as an allegory for transition and I think that’s totally understandable!
And lastly to sort of continuation of my rant regarding misogyny and gender in general. Jayce. Fucking. Talis. Explain to me why we are centering the most milk toast male protagonist ever. In season one I wanted to throw this man down the stairs and I think they redeemed his character in season two. However, I DETEST that Mel and Viktor’s stories revolve around Jayce in the narrative of the fanbase (and by proximity Sky’s as well.) Mel is seen as the villain for the yaoi shippers when in reality she is a beautiful and complex character with complicated motivations and a positive character arc. I hate that her and Jayce’s relationship also sort of got pushed to the way side in the end and also the fact that people say they didn’t care about each other when they did. Also it irks me that people said Jayce look disgusted when he caught her after she exhausted herself using her powers. MF JAYCE HAS A BROKEN LEG HE SHOULDNT EVEN BE STANDING ON AND UNEXPECTEDLY CAUGHT THE WEIGHT OF A GROWN WOMAN ARE YOU DUMB?! Anyways. She is another character that I feel that the show really rushed her screen time and said anyways move for our star boys here. They really botched how they handled the female characters in Arcane and continue to do so with post production statements. Just leave the show alone and stop adding to it. Let people speculate and have fun with it. Justice for Mel and especially Sky. Jayce is a pretty mid character IMO in a collection of great characters and everything revolves around him in this fanbase. “Viktor made his puppets to appeal to Jayce because they look like Mel” or maybe they are supposed to be perfectly androgynous angelic beings with ideal proportions and elegance…. “Viktor kept the cog”…it literally fell off the water pump jinx was messing with and he was fidgeting with it and it was meant to be a parallel as it was covered in arcane marks… “Viktor did this for Jayce and this for Jayce and this for Jayce…” actually I think viktor just didn’t want to die and then was pissed Jayce violated his autonomy and boundaries multiple times. “Mel is just an obstacle for Jayce and viktor” well they all have two (three in some cases) hands so.
I’m tired of Jayvik shippers always having something to say on posts and in spaces that arent meant for them. Y’all would have not survived in OG anime fanbases like Naruto where Sasuke and Naruto canonically kissed twice (for a bit but still lol).
Anyways, everyone who is in the likely silent majority of the fanbase, keep doing y’all and just block the annoying JayVik shippers. (The normal ones can stay y’all are cool.)
