the irony of coming onto my post that's all sunshine and rainbows about loveless and heartless folks and saying ☝️🤓 actually you have to experience love to be a good person otherwise you'd just be cruel and cold
is like
so funny to me
you're the one being mean dawg how do you not see that
you're calling me and every other person that vibes with that post evil which is
exactly what I was saying we're not
I'm not calling loving people evil, we don't gotta be fighting you can just 👏 keep 👏 on 👏 scrolling
loveless and heartless folks are whimsical
you're magical
keep doing you
you're making the world a better place by being genuine and living your truth even though it doesn't fit the societal expectations
I understand why people say it and that it is not malicious, but I wish people would stop saying, “I hope we can be great friends!!!” Whenever I offer to be mutuals. I KNOW it is not done in ill spirit, but as someone who is on the Aplatonic spectrum i always feel like my personal space is invaded a bit when people expect to be my friend immediately. I do not know you well yet, I am uncomfortable being viewed as one without my agreement, can we PLEASE just chill first we don’t need to be friends immediately💔
i show up as a recced blog in the aplatonic tag???? this is an honor but Why.
i. i was questioning if i was or not but i guess tumblr has decided for me! assigned aplatonic at tumblr. well. seems i will make more apl content now!
here are the flags and definitions of existing apl-spec terms (that i can find). feel free to let me know if there are more and i will add them to this post! you may also ask me about these definitions, if they are not clear enough. additionally, if you wish to coin a new term i shall add it to the list if you also provide a flag.
demiplatonic: not feeling platonic attraction until an emotional bond is formed.
platonicflux/platoniflux: where levels of platonic attraction change in intensity. sometimes a platoniflux may be completely aplatonic, sometimes they may be demiplatonic, and other times they may be akoiplatonic.
akoiplatonic/akoineplatonic/akoinplatonic/lithplatonic: feeling platonic attraction but having no intentions of acting on it, or having no desire for the attraction to be reciprocated. OR if the platonic attraction fades once it is reciprocated.
xumplatonic: never feeling satisfied with the platonic attraction label chosen due to self doubt and/or identity issues.
myrplatonic: experiencing many apl-spec identities together
cassplatonic: feeling indifferent to the level of platonic attraction they feel/not feeling like the level of platonic attraction they feel is an important part of their identity
cupioplaflux/cupio-aplaflux/kalosplaflux/kalos-aplaflux: desiring a platonic relationship (friendship/qpr/qpp) but the level of attraction/desire is fluctuating in intensity
polarplatonic: switching between extremely platonically attracted to people, and not at all or platonically repulsed
vexeplatonic/vexplatonic: when someone is apl-spec, but is unable to pinpoint the exact label due to not understanding that type of attraction
caedplatonic/caedoplatonic: where someone was able to experience platonic attraction but a certain negative event (such as trauma) affected their attraction
aplatonispike: usually not feeling platonic attraction, but occasionally having it skyrocket, only to plummet back down again. the level of platonic attraction “spikes” in intensity.
aegoplatonic/autochorisplatonic: the person may enjoy the idea of platonic attraction, but does not experience it themself. for example, they may enjoy content of their platonic ship interacting and doing platonic activities, but will not experience platonic attraction to other people themselves.
dependplatonic/requiplatonic/exigeplatonic/exigenplatonic/cruxplatonic: in which the person only experiences platonic attraction to their depended/favourite person when a person has dpd or bpd. (the original says only those with dpd may use this, however since bpd has the exact same symptoms of a favourite person/person someone depends on for validation, i see no harm in those who have bpd also using this term)
recipplatonic/reciproplatonic: a person who only experiences platonic attraction when another person expresses platonic attraction to them first. if there is no one around them who expresses platonic attraction to them, recip/reciproplatonics may feel that aplatonic also describes their experiences just fine.
apresplatonic: only experiencing platonic attraction after another form of attraction is felt. the original form of attraction may or may not fade over time, the platonic attraction replacing it.
sentiplatonic: the level of platonic attraction is affected during sensory overload. may only be used by those who experience sensory overload, for example those on the autism spectrum and those with sensory processing disorder. i believe sensory overload can also be experienced in various other disorders, including schizo-spec disorders.
frayplatonic: when one usually experiences platonic attraction, but the attraction fades once the person gets to know them
reflectiplatonic: when one’s platonic attraction levels change depending on their partner’s attraction
fictoplatonic: experiencing platonic attraction to only fictional characters
schizo-aplatonic: someone who is aplatonic due to schizophrenia or other schizo-spectrum disorder.

queerplatonic/quasiplatonic/quirkyplatonic: a relationship that is not romantic, nor sexual, but platonic. it is however, more intense than a friendship. queer/quasi/quirkyplatonic relationships may include romantic or sexual elements, but are not categorized as those kinds of relationships. it is considered an “in between”.
