Healing isn't linear, but oof.

The back pain isn't because I wrenched my back; it's because of an infection. And the back pain is improving, but the infection is still here, and includes such joyous secondary effects as needing to use the bathroom significantly more frequently than normal.

I can't sleep more than an hour and a half at a time for this reason, and for the last week have managed 3-5 hours (per day) of sleep. Getting out of bed is painful every time. Until the pain subsides, afterward, I can't get back to sleep.

Doing any kind of errand, however basic, is thoroughly exhausting. It's also probably better to do some limited activities than not, but it's so so easy to do too much and be stuck in bed all day with the triple whammy of fever, exhaustion, and back pain.

I am going to try to sleep a bit more, to at least get more than 3 hours total for today, but the whole situation is very rough. I am only doing okay because I have friends and family who've generously helped out (picking up my antibiotics from the pharmacy on my behalf, running a load of laundry, making sure I had food and ways to hydrate available to me).

I am really tired of being sick.
