Love Potion Number Whatever - FH oneshot

Wrote this for the Aspec Year challenge, with the January prompt of Love Potions and what they might do for an aspec character.

We're three episodes in and my aropan Aelwyn headcanon is still intact for the moment! This isn't really junior year compliant, though.

Concerts

I have been to quite a couple rock/metal concerts (including Wacken, because that's like right outside my front door), and the most amazing were and will always be the ASP concerts I've been to. It's my favourite band, and they usually play in medium-to-small venues (compared to other bands I listen to), so it's more intimate. And, because it's gothic rock, the crowd is usually a dream - lovely people, very few drunks, and no assholes trying to force their way into the first row.

Honorary mention for the joint concert of Savatage and the Trans Siberian Orchestra tho. They played at Wacken 2015, and while I'm not too fond of Savatage, I love the TSO and definitely started crying - first when Andrew Ross started singing Chance, and second when Paul O'Neill came down off the stage and I got one of his guitar picks.

Another honorary mention for the PAIN concert where I (and a Canadian guy) were invited into the club suring soundcheck, because we had been waiting for five hours outside in the cold. Not just because of that, but also because it was the first time I saw Peter Tägtgren live, and for the random appearance of Till Lindemann. Iirc, that concert is currently still the only one where Praise Abort has been performed live.

Sheppard's never spoken about how he feels about sex without anyone. In fact, he's spent his entire life trying to pretend he's no different from the man standing next to him. But surely as that man is now Rodney McKay, Sheppard would be safe opening up, just a little? Sheppard's people skills weren't as bad as he made them out to be. A childhood growing up amongst the financial elite had taught him not only the importance of being able to both read and manipulate a room, but also the skill to disguise his ability to do so and the fortitude to lull those around him into a false sense of security. So he allowed those around him to believe he was an average arrogant Air Force officer - Afghanistan - a withdrawn PTSD-ridden introvert - Antarctica - and, since arriving on Atlantis, a flyboy with a Kirk complex. He excelled at becoming what those around him assumed him to be. Do not usurp expectations. Do not stand out from the crowd. Do not draw people's scrutiny.

Flu O'clock

The crew of Destiny are infected by an alien flu-like virus. Telford is shocked at the strength of Rush's immune system and extremely resistant to "being taken care of". Young thinks they're both idiots, but they're his idiots. "What?" Telford snapped. Or rather, tried to snap. It came out as more of a wheeze. "Let me take over," Rush offered quietly. The look Telford shot him could have stripped paint off a car.

Friends With "Benefits"

David refused to share where he'd learnt to cook to such a high standard, but goddamn was Young grateful for his best friend-slash-fuck buddy's skills. Not only were there always excellent hangover cures ready to be lashed together at a moment's notice, but even when they were off-world David had the magical ability to make the MREs palatable. Which was no small feat, given the state of some of the MREs they were issued. The scuttlebutt said - as it always did - that it was the Marine Effect in direct action: anywhere marines went, slop followed.

Skirting The Vague Outline Of A Boundary
