Your Emergency Contact
[⚠️] Contains: angst, assault, stalker, no consent and touching upon sexual harassment, protective Toji, violence.
Summary: After a team celebration at the bar and two drinks, you decided to head home, not getting involved with your drunk co-workers. Instead, on your way home an unsightly man decides to take advantage of the woman who walked the streets alone.
Authors Notes: Second part to this (ex-boyfriend Toji). Takes place approximately a year before the family miniseries
Your phone screen illuminated your face as you wandered the street. You'd joined some co-workers for a drink, to celebrate a good end to a successful project. It was rowdy - not the sort of environment you'd involve yourself in regularly, still, it was a good end to the evening as dawn pulled in. The street lights sensed the darkness and turned on, leaving a nice golden glow over the buildings.
You sighed, hands tightening around the strap of your work satchel. You walked in contentment, giddiness bubbling in your blood from the few drinks you had. All of the others were plastered drunk, considering your team had a week off from work; Nanami had left early due to a disinterest in drinking alcohol and wanting to spend time with his partner.
You were left to walk home by yourself. In all fairness, your apartment wasn't far from the bar. That being said, it was still quite a trip on foot in the dark in a city busy with excited, unaware nightlife. Mostly cabs or friends were picking up drunk people, you could pick up the faint sound of clicking high heels walking on the street as the distance between the chaos and you became greater.
Soon, it was just you and the occasional motorbike – you preferred it that way. You scrolled aimlessly on your phone, checking the occasional message, disregarding anything from your parents with no hesitation. One message from Nanami telling you to enjoy yourself at the bar, one from Megumi complaining about one of his classmates, though you knew he didn't mind them that much.
You paused briefly, ears perking up at the echo of footsteps. Being as you were - not all there after a few drinks - you were sure they were your footsteps. You didn't know any better. As you continued, the dread pulled knots in your stomach, when you stopped, they stopped, when you started, they started, when you picked up the pace, so did they. One fact stood out to you, they were not the sound of heels. No, they sounded more like heavy workboots.
Onwards, one hand still clutched around the strap of your bag, one gripping your phone desperately as an anchor to your anxieties. The further you walked, the more shadows seemed to creep around corners, and any light source appeared to dim.
A wheeze escaped your chest as you paused. You searched through the corner of your eye, not daring to turn your head. If you did that, the situation would become all the more real. All it took was that one extra step which you definitely didn't take for you realise that the danger had amped up.
Really, a defenceless woman who seemed like she had a few too many to drink (you were just a lightweight), walking alone in the backstreets. It wasn't out of the question for one weirdo to take advantage of the opportunity. Your lungs heaved in half-breaths as you gathered yourself, continuing to walk down the path. There was one thing that you knew: you couldn't go straight home or he'd know your address and that you lived alone.
You pulled your phone in front of you, searching through your contacts without a goal in mind. Nanami was busy, there was no way you'd disturb him. You could call the authorities, but they were known to not be overly helpful or be too late to help. No way you'd contact Megumi and you'd be caught dead before initiating contact with your parents. Toji, whos last message was about doing a nightshift, was the only person you could rely on given the circumstances.
You pressed the call button, lashes blinking rapidly as you pressed the phone against your ear, continuing to dash down the street.
The phone beeped, and beeped, and beeped...and then the voicemail tone.
Your panic increased as you pressed on the call button again, this time more firmly as you shook.
It only rang twice before you heard his gruff tone through the sparker.
"Sunshine, I would love to talk but 'm at work"
"Toji..." You called breathlessly. Breathless all the wrong reasons. You glanced back behind you as you continued to scamper through the streets, turning in all sorts of directions just to avoid going home, to avoid the man who made it clear he wasn't going to stop. Toji noticed the urgency in your voice as you spoke.
"Hey, whats up?"
"Theres a guy - I dunno Toji," You fumbled your words, eyes dancing from sign to sign to keep track of where you were going. "Hes following me, i dunno what to do!"
"Share your location, 'm getting in the car now."
Sure enough, he was. You heard the sound of his keys, the door slam shut, the engine starting. You whimpered a string of 'okays' under your breath, index finger reaching for the share location option. You heard him hum thoughtfully.
"Ya not far from me, i'll be there soon. Stay on the phone."
Whoever was following you seemed to catch on to what you were doing, calling for help. His steps picked up, getting faster and faster until, within an instant, you felt the terrifying breath down the back of your neck.
You cried out as the strong grip curled around your wrist, digging into your joint so you had no choice but to drop the phone. Your bag was tossed aside as the figure rushed you into an alley, muffling your cries with his other hand, squashing you between him and the cold brick wall.
It was all you could do to push his weight off you, pushing out your elbow and kicking out your legs frantically as his hands remained firm on your body. His face pressed against the side of yours, smothering you with a stench of cigarettes and whisky.
Your leg booted his ankle, your heel flying off your foot, your other ankle losing balance and twisting as you fell to the floor. Your elbow grazed the path, tearing away at layers of skin and pulling holes into your black tights. You flailed around, pushing as much as you could, hoping that he'd give up and run away, that he'd leave you be, but given the smirk on his face, you couldn't help but imagine he enjoyed fighting for you.
He enjoyed the sadism of it all, of an unknowing victim, cornering them and fighting them.
You sobbed, wailing in horror, pleading for help from anyone who passed at just the right time, but no one did. You were alone with the freakshow who overpowered you so easily.
Tears stained your cheeks and your hair formed tangles as he pulled at your clothes and manhandled your body, pinning you to the floor as his legs straddled your sides. You lost all hope, there was no one around and there was no guarantee Toji would find you in time, before the nightmare even began.
You held your breath, squeezing your eyes closed tightly as you braced yourself, hiccuping as your scared mind went wild with thoughts.
Despite tensing your body, bracing yourself for the worst, in all your heightened emotions you didn't hear the painful thud of a fist connecting to a jaw. You didn't hear the rustling of clothes and the yells from the man who had tried to harass you. You didn't hear your saviour making very real, very violent threats should the criminal show up again. You didn't even recognise the raspy voice of the large man, not until he kneeled by your side.
He kneeled next to you, trying to catch your attention but all you could hear was the faint buzzing in your ears as you detached yourself from the conflict. Your nerves didn't translate his soft touches as he tried to pull you together.
"Hey, Sunshine, come on." He encouraged, sitting you up from your curled ball. He rested one arm behind your back, holding you up as you tensed your knees, bringing them tightly against your body.
You blubbered, recognising the familiar burnt wood musk that oozed from the supposed-to-be-white jumper, "Toji?"
"Welcome back."
You could've sobbed again from relief if you weren't so tired, so fatigued.
"He won't be bothering ya again, 'm gonna get you to the car. Yeah?"
You simply nodded.
He hooked his free arm under your legs and lifted you up in his arms, nuzzling you closely against his broad chest. Your hand reached out, weakly grabbing at his clothes, his bicep, his neck. Anywhere.
Stepping over the man who attacked you, he muttered something about a bastard and gouging his eyes out with his fingers if he saw him ever again. Quite literally kicking his ribs once more to pack salt into the wound. The agonising groan he let out made Toji grin like he'd won the bet of his life, picking up your bag and phone and sitting you in the front seat of his car which was parked clumsily on the side of the road. He grabbed his zip-up from the back seat, covering you as best he could with what he had and clipped in the safety belt.
"'m gonna take ya to my place, better there than alone, m'kay?" he went to close the door until he noticed the grace on your elbow. His finger traced around the graze, examining the damage but was at least somewhat okay that it wasn't an emergency injury. "Hurt anywhere else?"
You frowned, hands tugging the jacket together around your body as you nodded towards your legs. Toji seemed to understand, with your missing shoes and your grazes, it didn't take much to connect the dots that you may have sprained an ankle. He nodded, humming in the low tone that sent your heart soaring in admiration.
"I'll patch you up at home." his lips connected to your forehead, despite the peck being quick, he lingered momentarily. His arms pulled you to lean against him one more time before he intended to get in and drive. He was relieved, he may not have been able to prevent the attack but at least he was able to stop it before things got serious, before he would've pulled out his knife and killed someone, torn them apart for having such malicious thoughts about using your body.
"It's okay now, we'll go home and stay there as long as ya want."
You lip trembled, staring at him, begging.
"I've got ya, ma'."
He did. He did have you, safe in his arms. Despite the awkward past between you both he rushed to your side the moment danger was uttered under your breath. He could've ignored you, he had work afterall. He had no obligation. But he made you his priority. You'd never felt more overjoyed, more cared for than when a large, gruff man like Toji handled you with a level care many weren't confident he had.
His hand caressed your skin, fingers rubbing over every bump, graze, scar, vein, freckle on your body with pure adoration. He watched as your lashes bounced with every blink, how your lips parted with every deep breath you took, how your body rattled with every shudder.
"I'll get you home, patched up, tucked into bed." He promised and you believed him as he pulled away to shut the door so he could start the car again, "I'll take care of it all."
Olivia Benson X Daughter reader
Summary: Y/N Benson is attacked on her way home, her Mum is not happy and Elliot is pissed.
TW: almost SA, description of almost rape, not much only the first part.
Third person pov...
14 year old Y/N Benson was on her way home from school, texting her friends as she walked, her bag on her back, she was heading to the station to meet her Mum so they could go home together.
As she walked she walked past a white man mid 20s, The instant she did she felt his eyes on her, it heightened her anxiety but she kept on walking, slowly she got out her phone from her pocket and began tapping on it.
The man then pushed himself away from the wall and began following the teen, he was tall, kept his head down.
Y/N looked behind her every few seconds while tapping on her phone.
She was planning to text her Mum and tell her what was happening, as she did she began quicker, she heard the man walk faster to catch up with her.
The H/C girl taps her Mums contact and begins typing, they had a code word for incidents like this.
"Hey there" comes voice from behind the girl scaring her. She turns quickly and hides her phone, the teen looks up it was the guy following her.
She stared at the man, not saying a word. This made the man angry, Y/N saw grit his teeth slightly, she then inches away slightly from him.
The guy keeps a friendly smile on his face as he looks at the young girl. "Sorry for scaring ya. Just wanted to ask if you could tell me where the library is?" He asks the girl, Y/N doesnt relax her legs tense she was ready to run if the guy posed as a threat.
She looks at the time on her phone her message to her Mum still open. Once seeing the time she looks back up. "Sorry can't help you" she says to the man unapologetic.
She turns to run but her wrist is grabbed, the mans grip was hard and it was painful. Y/N tried to wretch her arm away but it only made the grip on her wrist tighten, he was twisting her wrist a way it shouldn't go.
Tears at the corner of her eyes she tried to yell for help but one look from the guy said 'you scream and I break it' so she kept her mouth shut, with her hand gone she uses her other to try and text behind her back.
The guy sees this and grabs her phone, eyes in horror Y/N watches as he smashes her phone, struggling in his arms Y/N tries to wriggle away but isn't able to, she is then dragged into an alleyway.
She teenager tries to drag her feet but he is to strong, Tears in her eyes Y/Ns back is forced up again the wall, she begins scratching at the man, his hands , face anywhere she could reach. The guy takes it and pins her wrists to the wall.
He then slaps her face. "Stop struggling bitch! Or this will hurt" he yells at her, the teen freezes in fear, cheek turning a nasty red.
Smirking he begins trailing his free hand to her chest unbuttoning her school shirt, she looked away from him as he kept touching her, "Mummy" she cries quietly.
Thinking of her mum gave her the strength to open her eyes, she starts to stare, the creep looks up at her smirk gone at the new found fury in her eyes.
'Show no fear' she thinks, as she continues staring into his eyes. Luckily he let's go of her wrists, taking the chance Y/N swings her leg back and kicks him in thr groin.
"Fuck! You little bitch!" He yells holding his area, Y/N quickly rips out of his grasp, grabbing her bag she hits him one last time before running out of the alleyway not stopping until she got to the station.
Olivia was sat at her desk, her daughter was late. Looking at the clock again she became even more worried. Y/N should've been there 20 minutes ago.
Elliot waves at his partner from across the table. "Liv? Hello? Liv!" Liv shake sher head ans turns to Elliot. "Sorry El" she tells him.
Elliot shakes his head. "It'll right, are you okay?" He asks her, Olivia goes to answer but us cut off by something behind Elliot.
Face of horror, she stands from her desk and walks around Elliot towards the entrance, standing at the doors was a young girl, school shirt unbuttoned, shirt ruffled, bag barely hanging onto her shoudler, her face was a bright red turning purple.
"Y/N, baby what happened to you?" Before anyone knew it the young girl collapsed in a fit of sobs falling to her knees, Olivia bent to catch her in her arms. The girl only sobbed harder as she clung to the woman.
Liv tried to comfort her but was unsuccessful, eventually they were able to move the two into a room. Olivia sat with her daughter curled up on her lap still holding onto her neck.
Olivia rubbed her hand up and down
Y/Ns back, the girl was clearly traumatized, the team were worried.
"Y/N baby, you gotta tell me whats happened okay" she tells the girl, Y/N had calmed down alot since she was in her mother's arms.
Outside Elliot is pacing, he was worried about Y/N. He'd never seen her so upset before it scared him.
Inside Y/N pulled away from her Mums shoudler, sniffling she told her. Olivia was shocked, she was worried and she was pissed. "Baby, I'm so sorry that happened to you, I swear to god I will catch that bastard" she reassured the teen.
Eventually Y/N passed out from all her crying, Liv gave her a change of clothes a mix of her tshirt and Elliots sweatpants. The teen was currently asleep in the cots in the lockeroom.
Liv sits at her desk frozen as if in a trace, after what her daughter told her she didn't know what to think. As she sat El walked over to her.
"Liv, hey did Y/N tell you what happened?" He asks her, Liv shakes herself awake, the tears in her eyes scare Elliot, he kneels on the floor infront of her holding her hand gently.
"Liv-Ss-she told me she was almost raped" she cries, Elliot pulls her into a hug. If he didn't he would've smashed his fit into the table. "W-what" his throat dry.
Once Y/N was awake she gave them a description of the man who attacked her, she told them everything she rememberd she could never forget the way his hands felt or his piercing gaze.
Days later they caught the guy, attacking another young girl, before hand cuffing him Elliot and Liv managed to get a few good hits in for Y/N, all the team managed to get revenge for Y/N, Fin slammed him extra hard into the table in the interrogation room.
Munch made fun of the guy and told all his insecurities, Casey tore into him during his trail so bad he instantly pleaded guilty and got sent to prison for 20 years.
After that Liv made sure Y/N never walked home by herself again, always either with a friend or member of SVU. Y/N eventually recovered from the ordeal.
The end!
A rather angsty one hope you liked it, sorry for the wait, also for any grammar and Spelling mistakes.

I haven’t been in school in a few years but I hope y’all grown women and men aren’t still telling little girls that “if he harasses you it means he has a crush on you” cause that’s how normal bullying eventually got to full on touching and sexual harassment for ME at least
