Sorry ZuZu, but professor Kyoshi Just didn't want to exclude you from the playing. And You're so a knucklehead that you would be a wonderful ball!
Ah, I love that Aang had choosed the members of the Gaang (and Suki too), while Azula choosed her two friends and Four of her possible unofficial romance ships (except Haru, that he could be a possible partner)!
We’ve seen Water bender Zuko and Air bender Zuko but what if,,,,earth bender Zuko
Have my scattered ideas:
- Zuko's an earthbender because the spirits decided to mess around for some random reason. Maybe Ozai did something to offend them...?
- Zuko doesn't find out about his earthbending until Iroh comes back from the Siege of Ba Sing Se.
- Ozai pressures Zuko twice as much. But no matter how hard he tried, Zuko couldn't summon a single lick of flame. He ignores the whispers of "he's a non-bender...", "the poor thing...", and "what a shame."
- (He absolutely doesn't hear his father's voice.)
- Azula teases Zuko a lot about being a non-bender despite being part of the Royal Fire family. Mai and Ty Lee try to comfort him. He's grateful, but he doesn't need their pity.
- One day, in a fit of frustration at the hours he wasted trying to summon fire, he accidentally earthbends.
- Iroh, who happened to be passing by, sees his nephew staring in fear at the displaced slab of rock in front of him. He immmediately jumps to the conclusion that an earthbender has, inexplicably, broke into the Fire Nation Palace.
- Zuko yells out to Iroh before he manages to call the guards. Zuko explains what happened—how he bended.
- Iroh silently blames himself. He thinks he angered the spirits and, in return, the spirits turned their anger on Lu Ten and Zuko instead.
- Iroh smuggles Zuko out of the Fire Nation. Who knows how they would react upon knowing that the current heir to the throne was an earthbender...

I don't know where I'm going with this anymore so have this instead—
I love that the ATLA Chibi prom short was just about everyone simping for the water tribe siblings.
I mean, his heart really does burn for her. And Katara did go out of her way to try to find some pictures of tiny baby Zuko to look at because I mean come on, Katara. Cooking pots? Really? Let’s be honest here, it makes absolutely no sense for her to look for cooking pots in the attic now, on what was planned to be their last or second-to-last night there in the Ember Island house, after they’ve been eating meals made with the cooking pots that definitely had to have already been there for the past few days that they had been staying and eating in the Ember Island house.
Dark Horse Comics just announced the Avatar: The Last Airbender—Chibi series, for very young readers. The first installment is called Aang's Unfreezing Day.
The title refers to the fact that Aang forgot his birthday while being frozen in his iceberg for 100 years. To make up for it, Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Zuko plan to surprise him with a new special day to celebrate. But they'll have to be careful not to ruin the surprise.
Celebrated children's author Kelly Leigh Miller (I am a Wolf; I Love My Fangs) teams with Avatar fandom favorite artist Diana Sim (@pockicchi) and series writer Tim Hedrick to bring this Avatar story to life for young readers and their families.
The title will be available on September 7th, 2021.
The ATLA Chibi shorts are fucking wild
So, over on the ATLA YouTube channel there are a couple of Chibi shorts which are just these goofy little one-shots that aren't canon to the series.
The one I'm talking about today is called "Bending Battle", which essentially boils down to Aang, Katara and Toph arguing about which style of bending is the best.
And then out of the blue, Zuko and Iroh show up:
First of all, look at lil Chibi Iroh. He's an absolute treasure.
Second, Zuko has found the Avatar, the one who he's been hunting for three years now, and he's got the drop on him. He has the element of surprise... and he blows it just to announce that fire is the best element.
And he complains about Iroh not having his priorities straight. Zuko goes off on his uncle for derailing their search just so he can get a damn lotus tile, but the moment someone starts talking shit about firebending, it's time to throw some hands.
ok so was anyone going to tell me that the original creators of avatar did a series of chibi shorts like 10 years ago in which they basically confirmed zuko liked katara romantically as a joke or was I supposed to find out for myself?
