Summary/Request: Can you do one shot about the reader cutting her hair? before it was really curly and long but after a mission she has to cut her hair to her shoulders and she’s insecure about it but the whole team loves it, Bucky in particular is very fond of her hair cut cause he has a crush on her :)

You stared at yourself in the mirror, running your hands through the now shorter hair. You had made it through the entire tower without anyone seeing you, but now you were going to meet up with the others. You were nervous what they would think. You weren’t even sure what you thought.
Your hand rubbed across the sore spot on your head. The last mission went a little awry when the guy you were fighting grabbed you by your hair and threw you around. That was the reason you cut it in the first place.
Sighing, you made your way out of your room, you didn’t get far down the hallway before Wanda rounded the corner.
Her eyes lit up immediately “You cut your hair?”
“Yep, thought it was time for a change” you absent mindedly ran your fingers through your hair.
“It looks great, it suits you very well” she smiled as you both turned and began walking down the hall.
“Thanks, I’m not sure how I feel about it, I’ve never had it this short before”
“I’m sure you’ll get use to it”
As you walked into the main room, the others were all doing there own thing, the only two to look up were Nat and Bucky, both of whom smiled upon seeing your new hair cut.
Nat was the first to speak “Nice hair”
Steve turned when she spoke, seeing you walking slowly into the room. He was there on the mission when the guy hurt you when dragging you around. He had been the only one you mentioned possibly cutting your hair too.
“So you decided to get it cut then?”
You nodded as you walked over to him and Bucky. Bucky was staring at you, and when you met eyes a small smile formed on his lips “It looks great”
You smiled shyly at him “Thanks Buck”
“Do you like it?” Nat asked, having noticed how awkward you were acting
“You should” Bucky said, gaining your attention again “It looks good on you, and it will be easier to manage”
You smiled at him, glad he thought so. Wanda and Nat exchanged knowing looks. Bucky would think you looked good no matter what hair you had, not saying that he was lying. He just thought you always looked good.
You went and sat down on the couch, where Bucky followed. As you sat down he sat on the arm of the couch next to you “How’s your head?”
“Steve told me what happened”
“Oh...it’s a little sore, but I’m fine”
He nodded lightly “Is that why you cut it?”
You nodded “Yeah, after that happened, it made me feel kind of...vulnerable I guess, like it was a weakness”
You nodded knowingly at you, he could also notice how you subconsciously kept touching our hair, unsure of it “I’ve been thinking of cutting mine”
Your head snapped up “Really?”
“Yeah, but..I’m not sure it would suit me anymore”
He smiled at you “How would you know?”
“I’ve seen pictures of you, with short hair. Steve’s showed me”
Bucky glanced over at Steve who smiled lightly, avoiding eye contact, having heard “Of course he did”
You smiled “You should definitely think about it. besides, it would make me feel a lot better about mine” you smiled sweetly at him, making him chuckle.
He moved to sit down next to you on the couch “I’ll think about it”
