Quirrelmort?

Why do/don't I ship Quirrelmort?

Well first of all, I'm (usually) a sucker for canon ships in Starkid. They're so often well-written and well-developed, so props to the creative teams!

But the fun part is where I psychoanalyze myself, so here we go.

Quirrelmort is big for me because it reminds me that love is a force for change. The defining moments of Quirrelmort ("You came back? / I came home." and "You think killing people will make them like you, but it just makes them dead." but like,,, paraphrased because I Cannot remember) are so integral to Voldemort's redemption for me, and to think that someone I love could have that kind of positive influence on me, or better yet, that I could have that positive influence on them, makes me feel like not all hope is lost.

the avp trilogy or hatchetfield series ((for the ask game))

The AVP trilogy, of course! I love the Hatchetfield series, but they don’t have the same tone to them as the older StarKid plays. Not that the tone they have now is bad! I love what they’re doing with the new plays, using their platform to talk about society’s problems in a way to reach thousands of people, and all of the wonderful people working on them are... well, wonderful! James Tolbert, Kim Whalen, Curt Mega, Angela Giarratana, Kendall Nicole Yakshe, Jon Matteson, Mariah Rose Faith, they’re all amazing! I just prefer the AVP series’ tone. It’s a lot more fun and easy to escape to! (Also they have Joe Walker and Dylan Saunders in there throughout, but that’s more of an afterthought than a requirement and also just my personal bias.)
