Oh, did I also mention that I've started mashing together some of my favorite Au's have come up with this:

Feral Monster Falls Ford.

Like. Imagine during his portal time, Ford got turned into a sphinx, and had to live with that for... uh... ten years. So a third of his time in the portal was as a sphinx.

And since he obviously couldn't move that fast, and since he couldn't exactly 'talk' as he hadn't gotten ahold of his sphinx-ified mouth (I'd say this is probably after his Oracle encounter)... he gets captured by Bill, who thinks he's just an exotic pet for fun.

So Ford get tortured, threatened, beaten, and forced to do things he can't do that well.

So he starts breaking, until the portal turns on in the middle of the Quardrangle, and he escapes just barely.

He's strong as hell, but also weak from malnutrition. So... he doesn't exactly see new people as a good thing. And the smell of blood, fresh meat, and very hungry sphinx brain = he tries to eat his family.

They all run, and it isn't until Ford sees his house, his place, his home, that he stops. And realizes that's Stanley.

But he doesn't know who the others are. But he doesn't want to eat them now. He knows they're human. He knows that he used to be human.

Since Stan doesn't know that it's Ford, he attempts to scare the 'wild beast' off.

Nobody, aside from Ford, obviously, realizes that said 'wild beast' can understand them. Ford runs and finds a deer to eat in the forest. And another deer. And a oversized bird. And a few gnomes. He eats until he can't eat.

But then, since he knows that's Stanley, and Stanley opened the portal. Stanley- isn't safe.

Ford goes back to the Shack in the middle of the night. He knows that they might still be awake. He doesn't know how long they stay up. He doesn't know any of the other humans, aside from Stanley.

So, he sneaks into the lab (he isn't sneaky), and sees Stanley, staring at the ruined portal and crying. Sobbing, actually.

He knows he can't comfort Stan, since his brother would be terrified of him, but he can watch. He can watch. But what he also doesn't realize is that there is one Mabel and one Dipper sneaking up on him.

I just had a thought. Feral Monster Falls, right?

So, what if Ford got tortured so much that he didn't think about Bill as 'Bill' anymore, but as 'him'.

HE gives him food.

HE makes him hunt

HE gives praise

HE gives punishment

HE is the reason you're alive

HE is the voice you follow

HE is how you survive

Listen to HIM. That is how you survive.

What if Ford slowly stopped thinking of himself as 'Ford' but as the entertainment. As the party trick. As the beast that could do better. As the beast that needed to do better.

Bill conditioned Ford with pain, punishment, and praise.

Bill made sure Ford knew what he did wrong and what he did right.

He made sure Ford never stopped moving on his hunts because that wasn't fun for anyone. They wanted to watch the funny sphinx move. They wanted to watch it hunt.

They wanted entertainment and Ford would give it to them.

Because otherwise it would hurt. Something would hurt. Everything, most of the time.

Even if he knew it was coming, it would still hurt. Even if he knew how much it hurt, it would still make him cry out.

It would still make him be better.

Ford's only food would be the hunts, and he would only get the hunts when he was being good.

When he didn't bite. When he listened. When he wasn't anything more than a housecat with its nails trimmed and its teeth pulled.

Then Ford escaped, ran, through the portal and he thought it was a hunt. Because of all the overlapping scents, he couldn't tell what was what, but he knew it was fresh, and he knew it screamed.

So he figured that he must hunt, otherwise he would get hurt. Otherwise HE would hurt him.

And, well, if he smelt something vaguely like home, he ignored it. Because the pain was worse than anything that happened in a hunt.

Because, even if both hurt him, killing family would hurt less than HIS pain.

So, even if he smelled home, he knew it would hurt if it stopped.

Then the prey got away because he slowed down. Because he knew it couldn't be right. Because this was home.

So he ran, because if he ran, maybe HE wouldn't know that he failed. It had worked once, when he dragged back something else that wasn't the main attraction. Nobody questioned it.

And he found new things to hunt.

But there were too many for a normal hunt.

Too many scent trails. Too much.

He couldn't tell, he couldn't tell, so he ran and ran and ran, until he ran into a deer.

He killed it. Brought it to a clearing, and looked up to see-

Nothing. No faces. Nothing staring down on him. Nothing watching him.

Not even the ceiling of his- his... his what? His torment.

All he saw was blue, white, and fear.

So he looked down as his hunt. And he ate. Because, well, if there wasn't anything watching him, then there wasn't anything to stop him from hunting.

But because that also meant that he had smelled home. And ruined it.

But it was HOME. Home. Home. Home.

His home. A scent that he knew, surrounded by ones that didn't smell the same but carried his scent.

Home's scent.

He wanted home back, because it meant that there was no pain at home.

Because HE wasn't home.

HE would never hurt him again.

He didn't know his own name. He would recognize it eventually, whenever the time came.

He didn't know what words were. He didn't remember English that much. He barely knew how words worked.

But Stanford Pines would find his way home eventually. He always did.

What if Derek never got that into video games? What if he never dropped out of college, got a degree? What if he lived in a place where there was a whole forest in his backyard, and he grew up practically inside it?

What if, instead of finding the gates inside of a video game known as Minecraft, he found them as a ruin in the forest. An old church building, perhaps, surrounded by a bunch of unfamiliar sky blue flowers.

What an odd color for nature to be, blue... almost nothing in it is blue, after all. Perhaps these flowers are not natural at all.

Derek, having been fliming a youtube video, just about the things he finds in the forest.

Derek, being fascinated by the ruins.

Derek, finally gaining the courage to go in the church, and in there he finds... what he was always meant to find.

The last video on Derek's channel being that of him entering the church, briefly, then it cutting to him running away from it.

Derek doesn't upload again.

Nobody hears from him again, for another three months, until another man named Avery, shows a video of himself finding the church.

Wifies later documents the findings, talking about how he normally doesn't do things in real life, but this was just interesting enough to get put on his radar.

Avery, finally going in to investigate the church.

Avery, not knowing what he'll find in there, but bringing a bunch of random things anyway.

Avery, looking down and closing his eyes when he walks through the gates, because he doesn't know.

Avery, finally looking up, just to see the ruined inside of a church.

Avery, turning around and leaving, just to find himself in an unrecognizable place. The forest is not the same, he knows that.

Avery, looking around and realizing, he cannot hear anything.

There is no life in this forest.

It is too silent to even count as nothing.

Avery finds many, many more ruined churches in this silent forest. Many, many more gates. Every time he exits a church, he is in a different place.

Avery wants to find Derek. He is going to find Derek.

Derek is already dead. His body lies behind the church, within the blue flowers surrounding it. He looks peaceful. He had nothing to save him.

It will not decompose, so long as the flowers hold him.

NEW GRAVITY FALLS AU EVERYONE LISTEN UP!

Mechanical Minds Au (inspired by My Perfect Stanford Au), is what I'm going to call it for now. If anyone has a better name, please tell me it.

Basically, Ford. Right. We all know him, he's a idiotic genius, an' yadda yadda yadda.

And then we got Bill. Interdimensional demon. Triangle. Fake as shit.

Oh, last but not least at all- Fiddleford. He's the mechanic behind everything. Guy who makes the cool stuff and stuff that makes everyone go insane. Yeah, we know him.

Smush them all together and you get an interdimensional portal and bad decisions.

Stanford is going about his normal day to day lifestyle of 'ah yes, my muse is beautiful and perfect and I will let him stay in my head rent free forever because he is my muse', when he checks the calendar and... he could've sworn it was the 14th of March... not the 15th.

How odd... it doesn't matter, things happen with this kind of stuff all the time in Gravity Falls. He'll ask Bill about it later.

As the day goes on, nothing else is weird. He gets Fiddleford to check his notes for the fourth time, gets forced to take a break and eat something, falls asleep on his notes for about two minutes, mixes something he shouldn't have, and accidentally whispers to his Muse while Fiddleford is in the room. A normal day.

He forgets about the calendar by the days end. He forgets to ask Bill about it.

After all, tomorrow is the big day! Portal test time. Nothing was going to go wrong. They had quintiple checked the math, equations, and structure. It was all up to date and working as according.

It was all going to be... just... fine-

Nothing is correct. Why is this happening? When did Fiddleford build a memory gun?

How did the portal test go wrong?

How did Fiddleford fall through?

They had checked.

He- he- he thought he knew this scene. He knew it very well, actually. Too well.

This exact scene was playing out in his mind, ten times over.

Fiddleford, holding aloft the memory gun to his head, explaining how he was going to rid Ford of the demon in his head. Of his Muse.

How Ford had struggled to have that not happen. Bill wasn't a demon. He could explain his Muse to Fiddleford get him to explain.

He could make his friend see reason.

And the shot goes off, and Ford wakes up, swearing that it was the 14th of March, not the 15th.

Huh. How odd.

He'll have to ask Bill about that later.

I think I'm going insane. I've started making little Au's of this fandom that I call my 'playing with dolls' Au's. Because they're so wild.

Anyway!

An au where Wifies is watching Derek's stuff, but there is no censorship over The King, so Wifies gets bombed with infinite knowledge as well. This is because Derek had no strength to look at The King again, and was hoping that Avery wasn't going to post a video of the world.

An au where Wifies is a supernatural thing that acts as human, and is basically a socialized version of TKiY. But he's just a guy, and is able to avoid a lot of stuff. Lives within shadows.

An au where Derek literally gets captured by the DMS and brought back to life. But like, The King isn't there anymore, nor is the infinite knowledge. So he just has some weird tidbits of knowledge and nothing else to go off of. He doesn't remember anything else, aside from those bits of knowledge. Literally, not even his own name. He knows Avery, tho.

An au where TKiY is minding his own business, and then these two ants come in and start investigating his house. One of them manages to bite him and then he has to run clean up. Oh, one of them manages to read his books and- I'm just describing the cannon events from his pov, aren't I?

An au where TKiY is actually a human, cursed with immortality and infinite knowledge from the previous King. His consciousness has been stuck within some different computers in the past, along with other animals, webpages, and even human minds. When Derek merges with him, he manages to get stuck with Derek. This causes some... reactions. Times where Derek is fully stuck within his own mind, like sleep paralysis. Times where Derek cannot stop himself from talking. Times where TKiY tries to force Derek to do things. Times where Derek thinks he IS TKiY. They have to pry each other apart constantly.

An au where Avery gets sent to a mental institution because of what he's been talking about, and because he's afraid of the color yellow now. He meets a lot of people who believe him in there. Derek is... idk.

An au where Avery can barely remember the events of what happened. He knows that he shakes whenever he tries to play Minecraft. He knows that the color yellow makes him sick. He knows that he likes armor, but hadn't before. He knows that, well, he can't remember much about new years eve, but knows that he never had a single drop of alcohol. He knows that he used to like flowers, and leaving them at his mother's grave, but now the thought of doing it again makes him want to retch. He knows that there are some words he can't bear to hear, such as, "safe" "king" "knight" "remember" "forget" "special" "real". He doesn't know why.

An au where two men disappear on the same day, not more than ten blocks from each other, both while playing minecraft on new years eve. They're never found again. People keep finding odd mines that they never built in their worlds, with books in chests. Numbers on the fourth page, nearly all unique from each other. Except for when people have the same name. It's odd how the books seem to know when people have the same name.

An au where Derek never existed. Derek was never real within Avery's playthrough of the world. Derek had died almost as soon as he finished typing the book, due to the knowledge overload. The Derek that Avery thought that he had been talking to wasn't real, ever. Just fake.

An au where Derek and Avery knew each other before the events of AWTDE, in which Derek is a usual in a coffe shop that Avery works at. They never got each other's names. They never asked either. And then SFAWTDE happens, and the regular stops coming. Avery passes it off as just some coincidence. DAWTDE happens. Avery sees missing posters of a man named Derek. Who looks exactly like his regular. Avery admits to himself that he had feeling for Derek.

Um......... I'm normal, I swear.

And if anyone wants to take any of these ideas and run with them, go ahead. Just, please tag me if anyone does end up making anything? Thanks!

Having never actually read The King in Yellow, I would like to ask. Are there other courts? Other rulers that reside within the same realm that Hastur/TKiY does?

Is there a whole rainbow of these idiots out there somewhere? Can we call them the gay courts?

Hmmmmm, who said that.

If not, or if there isn't ever an explanation for that topic inside the book, I would like to propose making some.

Why? Because it's midnight on a Saturday and I'm BORED.

And because my Husband has school work he needs to do and I can't talk to him.

So. Other courts, yes? No? Maybe?

I just wanna know if there is or isn't ever something mentioned within the actual book saying that there is other courts or not.
