psychographic profile: i think you would fit the johnny profile, specifically the offbeat designer subtype. while winning isn’t necessarily your end goal, if you are going to win, you want to do so in a unique and interesting way. you build around ideas just to see what would happen, and sometimes you just fucking combo off and take twenty minute turns and that makes you the archenemy (which, as someone who is usually the archenemy in my playgroup, i can respect).

you may also fit the subtype of the uber johnny, which specifically seeks to make unplayable cards playable. it’s like fixating on a character that showed up for one single arc in the comics and was never mentioned again.

aesthetic profile: you would absolutely be the vorthos, specifically the writer. you know why.

ravnican guild: i feel that you’d fall into house dimir (blue/black). as dictated in the guildpact, house dimir serve as ravnica’s couriers, information brokers, and librarians. however, they are also known for doing some pretty shady things, from espionage to assassinations. though the dimir remain shadowed in mystery, they have informants everywhere (some who aren’t consciously aware of it)... much like a certain detective with cute little bat ears. 

from a gameplay standpoint, dimir leans more towards control. that includes forcing opponents to discard, stealing their best creatures, and countering their big splashy stuff. additionally, because you’re playing in black, you have access to cards that can use your graveyard (and your opponent’s) to get further ahead in the game. you have a plan, and failing that, you could always borrow a plan from an opponent.

shard/wedge: blue and black is already a pretty sweet color combination. why not throw in a little green to crush your enemies defenses? 

the sultai brood of tarkir (black/green/blue) relies on necromancy to fuel their schemes. in the khans of tarkir timeline, they were ruled by the naga sidisi. in the dragons of tarkir timeline, however, sidisi serves as the undead visier to dragonlord silumgar due to her necromantic prowess and mastery of manipulation.

from a gameplay standpoint, sultai makes use of the graveyard as a resource. with access to green (which opens to door to golgari and simic gamepieces), sultai allows you to ramp into your largest creatures well before the competition, gives you access to artifact and enchantment removal, and makes your creatures stronger.

planeswalker: you like hot girls who are sometimes bad guys but also not really who could kill you without lifting a finger? look no further than miss liliana vess, who is guaranteed to make your opponents have a bad time. has she even had a bad card? i don’t know!

once a healer-in-training, liliana began experimenting with necromancy at a young age. this would inevitably lead her family down a path of destruction, and for centuries to come, the fall of house vess would become a legend on her homeplane of dominaria. 

(there’s a lot about liliana honestly i could go on for hours about some of these characters but this post is getting long enough already)

commander: if you like causing problems on purpose, then you’ll love rankle, master of pranks

36. What’s the most uninteresting fact you’ve learned about a character?

All facts are interesting! Maybe that Kitty is not technically from Chicago but from one of the places around Chicago where everyone who is in them just claims that they're from Chicago.

51. Who's the most misunderstood character?

Tim Drake. If I have to see one more thing about everyone is horrible and mean to poor little Timmy who is nothing but goodness I will probably do nothing but I will be very annoyed.

13. Do you like any scented candles?

I love scented candles! The two I have in my room now are amaretto and espresso. I tend to prefer sweeter candles that smell like vanilla or cinnamon or baked goods, but I'm very picky about brands bc cheaper candles are often way too sweet and pretty cloying.

22. What's something unusual you associate with cold weather?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I am a very boring person with very standard associations for seasons.

24. A book or a story with comfy vibes?

It's not exactly comfy in the strictest sense, but Winter Rose by Patricia McKillip is a novel that really evokes winter for me, in both its harshness and its comforts.

11. What was your favorite book that has been out for a while, but you just now read?

Most of what I read this year was from either 2019 or later or from the 1890s, so this is a question where I'm not sure what's meant. But I did read Dreams of Trespass: Tales of A Harem Girlhood by Fatima Mernissi, which came out in 1994! Excellent book, would recommend, really does a great job of conveying how people moved through her world and how she viewed it as a child.

16. What is the most over-hyped book you read this year?

No idea! I don't think any of the books that I read bc of the hype failed to live up to it.
