“it’s not that deep” in reference to media analysis pisses me off so much
every single one of my literature classes was spent learning how to use a shovel and so i’m going to fucking dig. gold doesn’t just grow in the grass, you have to actually work for it. if you are content on the grass then that’s fine but don’t act like i’m the delusional one for actually putting in the work. maybe i am delusional. maybe this truly is just dirt, but at least i’m putting in the work and i’m happy while I do it. stop treating laziness like superiority. thank you for listening to my ted talk
