damian clearly spent the last two years of batman ninja stuck in fedual japan training monkeys to form the giant mecha-like monkey that appeared in the final battle. is this an incredible feat? yes. is this entirely believable for the sheer competency of damian wayne when he sets his mind to something? ABSOLUTELY.
(or, better yet, it took him all of the one month timeskip between the first big-battle and the second to decide that batman needed some kind of giant form to defeat the joker and trained those monkeys like THAT)
thinking about red hood(jason) going undercover in feudal japan (despite the fact that damian, literally chinese, is right there) and robin(jason) looking so asian-passing that BATMAN thought that lady shiva was very plausibly jason's biological mother. thinking thinking
"Batman Ninja" is an enjoyable movie. I like it a lot. It feels pretty unserious, but I also really love the art direction of that movie. Besides, having transformers in the age of feudal Japan is hilarious. Also: Nightwing is in it. The relationship between Robin and Monkichi is adorable as well.
My FGO brain rot decides to do a crossover with Batman Ninja. Specifically Chaldea Master Billy Batson. The cherry on top, Jason Todd centric who experienced half/most of Chaldea’s journey. Also there is a Rogue Servant OC that Jason bonds with without knowing that is a Heroic Spirit
More rambles below
Like sure most of the Batman Ninja movie happens because it’s in Batman’s perspective mostly. Just that Jason decides to not be too involved with the Bats because he has a job as the assistant chef at Avenger Beni-Enma’s restaurant. He would rather work for her instead of another day of fighting Rogues while in this time travel/Singularity Japan.
Is it bad that the Red Hood is passing on the chance to get at the Joker? Yes. But considering that Beni-Enma Alter is very skilled with the blade and that she is here at all means that Jason knows that there is a bigger battle to prepare for. He just has to find Billy and maybe Mash as well.
As the others train and prepare for the battle against the Rogues, Jason is more focused on making sure their hosts receive excellent meals with the help of Alfred. If he gives these Ninjas tips on how to get better bargains at shops or how to make different kinds of food, well who is going to stop him?
One day while working, Jason hears a rumor of Nobunaga’s ghost haunting the new Shougun’s castle. Who is this new Shougun? Someone named “Birii”, which Jason is taking his chances on that being Billy. Double down when Billy and Mash enters into Beni-Enma Alter’s restaurant with Nobu and a new friend in tow. Hey, is that fucking Kappa-san?
——About Kappa-San——
Kappa-san is a traveler that wears a kappa head charm and has a bad habit of hunching while carrying his pack. Jason met him while the guy was passed out behind the restaurant. Jason brought him inside, gave him some food and water, and somehow gained a nice guy as a friend out of it. Whenever Kappa-san comes, he always stays til closing to properly regale Jason with tales of his travels as well as trinkets. Some of them feel outlandish like the one about Kappa-san riding the river with only leaves. But, who is Jason to push away some good tales to keep his mind off of other things.
During one of those story sessions that some thugs tried to rob the restaurant. Instead they were met with the combined powers of Red Hood and a surprisingly skilled Kappa. Which gives Jason reassurance and newfound respect for his friend. If Jason saw the water slap a hidden knife out a thug’s hand, Kappa-san can explain it when he feels comfortable.
—— End of bit——
Turns out, Kappa-san is a Heroic Spirit that was summoned here over half a year before Jason’s own one and a half years at the beginning of this Singularity. Kappa-san has been traveling to find where fragments of the Holy Grails are. Hold up, two Holy Grails? What the fuk?
More information is exchanged with Chaldea and it turns out that most of the Grail Fragments are with the Tyrant Shoguns, aka the Rogues. Guess Red Hood has to get an alliance going between Chaldea and the Bats since they have similar goals now.
Wait, Jason has a Holy Grails Fragment? When? Kappa-san gave it to him? Kappa-san, why are you becoming red when this information got out? What do you mean you trust Jason with the Grail Fragments? Shouldn’t this go to Billy since he is the Master of Chaldea?
——-End——-
If it wasn’t obvious, Kappa-san is a Heroic Spirit that either fell in love with Jason or admires him. Overall, that Heroic Spirit cares for Jason and will do his best to show it
